Feb 22 (Fri):

Ram sitting in the office. Rekha walks in with Niwas. Niwas tells Ram that they were in the area and decided to drop by. Ram looks at then with his usual pulicha idli face, without saying a word. Niwas extends his hand for a handshake, but Ram just ignores and insults him. Niwas and Rekha leaves the office. Rekha walks out and is met by the Manager who tells her that Ram is not doing his work properly and the company is running at a loss. Rekha asks the Manager why he with his experience, not helping and tells him to do his work properly and stop complaining about others and leave. Ram walks out and listens to his workers talking about how Rekha is going out with Niwas. They also talk about how they used to get their pay on the 1st when Rekha was managing the company and now since Ram took over, it is already the 5th and they still have received their pay, and by the look of it they had better look for another job. Hearing this Ram get more angry and walks back o his room.

Rajaram goes to Masil's house and knocks the door. Kasthuri comes out and sees Rajaram, and recognizing him, calls for her MIL and asks if the neighbor had left any keys. Rajaram tells her he is not there to get the house key but to see Bharath. Kasthuri invites him in and tells him she will bring Bharath. Both Kasthuri and Bharath come downstairs and Bharath stops when he sees Rajaram. Rajaram walks towards Bharath and asks him how he is and where he has been and when he returnes to Chenai. Bharath just keeps quiet. Rajaram then asks Bharath to introduce him but seeing Bharath keeps quiet, he inroduces himself as Bharath's best friend before. He then turns to Bharath and asks what he had done wrong that he had forgotten about him and says that he is not responsible for Kaveri;s actions. Just then Masil returns and see Rajaram. Rajaram asks why Masil did not tell hi about Bharath. Masil tells Rajaram that he did not tell anything as he did not want to hurt Bharath's feeling. He apologizes to Rajaram for doing so. Rajaram tells Masil all he wanted was for Bharath to remarry and have a life for himself and now he is happy that he has. Bharath and everyone is shocked hearig this and Bharath quickly corrects saying Kasthuri is not his wife. Masil then explains their relationsip and Rajaram apologizes for his mistake. Kasthuri tells him it is okay. Rajaram then asks Bharath to follow him and he has alot things to talk about.

Bharath and Rajaram talk about a lot of things. Bharath tells him about his life after KAveri's death and how Masil come into his life and turned it around. He tells Rajaram that now he has an aim in live and that is the only reason he is alive. Rajaram asks what it is and Bharath tells him it is Kasturi and explains about her life and her suffering. Also how her husband cheated her and divorced her. He tells Rajara that he wants to make Kasthuri a top businesswoman. Rajaram then tells his story about how he was looking for Bharath and he had a major accident. He was looked after his girl friend Hema but he did nothing for her. Bharath is surprised and asked if they are still not married. Rajaram says he will not get married without Bharath making a life for himself and also they had promised to get married in his presence. Feb 25 (Mon):

Continued from Friday. Bharath tells Jayaram to marry his sweetheart Hema and settle down. Rajaram refuses saying he will only get married after Bharath gets married, to which Bharath answers, will never happens because of his experience with Kaveri Rajaram tells Bharath that he should not feel responsible for Kaveri's death. Bharath wants to tell Hema to get married but Rajaram laughs at him saying that Hema knows him better thatn Bharath does and will not agree. Rajaram then says that unless Bharath gets married first, he and Hema will not and leaves. Bharath is at the office and thinks back about his conversation with Rajaram. He goes into Kasthuri's office and tells her he wants to go home as he cannot concentrate on his work. Kasthuri asks what is on his mind and if that had anything to do with his meeting with Rajaram. Bharath then tells Kasthuri about his talk with his friend. Kasthuri agrees and tells Bharath that Rajaram is right in asking him to get married. Kasthuri goes on saying that Rajaram is a good and faithful friend and says that she has high regards for Rajaram. She tells Bharath that a good person will always think about others before thinking about themselves. Bharath then tells Kasthuri that Rajaram told him that unlesss Bharath gets married, he will not.

Kasthuri says that he is right and why can't Bharath get married, if this brings happiness to someone he loves and respects. Bharath looks at Kasthuri and asks her the same question and says that it an be applied to her too. Why can't she get married when Masil who loves her tells her too. Why can't she change her mind and do what Masil wants because this will make him very happy. He then tells her that it is easy to impose on another person but when it comes to themselves, the rules change. He tells a shocked and dumbfounded Kasthuri that they are in the same situation and leaves.

Masil at his home writing and Ganesh enters and asks if Masil is writing a story. Masil replies that he is replying a letter from the village. He asks if Ganesh has come to see Kasthuri but Ganesh tells him that he has come tao talk to him. Jothi comes down and greets Ganesh and Masil asks her to bring sweets and when Jothi looks at him, he tells her to bring sweets for Ganesh and ot him. After Jothi goes in, Ganesh tells him that he has news about Annamalai's household. He tells Masil about the trouble Ram is in, in his in-laws house. Masil is very happy to hear this. Ganesh tells him that Annamalai does not respect Ram and even Rekha insults him. He continues telling about Niwas from Canada and how Rekha is always with him, going out early and returning late at night. Masil tells him that FIL is not own father who will correct his son's mistake but will take good care of him. Masil laughs and says that to want a rich but submissive wife is very difficult and that Ram will soon realize about Kasthuri. Kasthuri comes down and stops hearing the two of them talking and is upset but quietly listens. Masil tells Ganesh to continue but Ganesh sees Kasthuri and stops. Masil sees Kasthuri and tells Ganesh not to be afraid to tell the truth. Kasthuri comes down and tells Ganesh off, asking how he can calk bad about Rekha when he knows about her character. Masil tells Kasthuri not to think of Rekha as an Angel, and Ganesh is only telling him what other are talking. Kasthuri apologizes saying that Rekha is not an immoral person, but Masil continues saying that Ram will soon realize and pay for his sins. He tells Kasthuri that he is 40 years older than Kasthuri and is more experienced and for her not to mistake him. Jothi them comes with sweets and gives her husband telling him to take it as everything he is wishing for is happening. Masil takes the sweets and offer Ganesh but he refuses and leaves, so does Kashturi. Masil eats alone saying he is very happy. Later Masil is watching TV (A song - poda-poda punakku, podathe tapu kanaku) and enjoying himself. Jothi brings coffee for him and he takes it from her and calls her when she leaves. THODARUM.

Feb 26 (Tues):

Masil asks his wife what is on her mind and Jothi tells him that she wants to go see her son. Masil gets angry and tells her that he does not even think of him as a person much less a son. He asks her why the sudden need to see him and his wife says that as Ram is having problems, she wants to go talk to him. Masil tells her that for all the sin that Ram had done he must and will sufer more. Jothi tells Masil to keep quiet and he may have forgotten his son but she is a mother and Ram will always be her son. She then asks permission to see Ram and Masil tells her to go. Jothi is happy and leaves but Masil stops and tells her that she cannot come back to him and tells her to go and leaves. Jothi stops unable to do anything.

Kasthuri and Bharath enters the office and hears one of the employee having domestic fight with her husband. The husband is asking his wife to return to him and apologizes for mistreating her. He tells her that he is sorry for everything but the wife tells him to leave and refuses to go with him. The husband goes to Kasthuri and tells her to advise his wife to return to him. Kasthuri asks whose fault it was in the first place and he just hangs his head down and keeps quiet. Kasthuri tells him that if a man is in the wrong, the women must accept it and forgive him but when it is a women will the man accept. The man just looks at her and walks away. Kasthuri walks to her employee and asks her to decide what she wants to do. If she decides to forgive and go with the husband she should go now and if she wants to carry on with life alone she is welcomed to do so. Kasthuri then tells her that if a women lives separated from her husband, it is difficult.

The lady tells Kasthuri that she is not willing to forgive her husband and will live like Kasthuri and tells her that her life and Kasthuri's life is the same, shocking Bharath, Ganesh and Kasthuri. Kasthuri goes into her room. Ganesh follows her inside and tells her that an employee should not have spoken to Kasthuri in that manner and wants to let her go but Kasthuri refuses. She tells Ganesh to leave her alone for a while. Kasthuri sits and thinks and smiles to herself.

Jothi is working in the kitchen when the door bell rings. She opens it to find Jayaram at the door and invites him in. Jayaram asks for Masil and Masil comes out to see Jayaram and tells him that Bharath is not in. Jayaram tells him that he is there not to see his friend but Masil. He thanks him for taking care and turning Bharath's life around. Masil tells him that Bharath is an educated and good man. Jayaram tells him that Bharath has been severely affected by his wife's death and he himself could not do anything for his friend. Jayaram tells Masil to help do something or Bharath. He tells Masil to somehow change Bharath's mind about marriage and get him married. Masil tells him that it is true that many have found marriage to be very bitter. Masil then tells him about how he had tried to get Bharath to marry Kasthuri, but it did not come thru. Masil tells about Kasthuri's life and wanted her and Bharath to get together. Jayaram tells him that Bharath did not tell him about this. Jayaram tells Masil that he might be able to get them married as he has a way. He tells Masil to try and change Kasthuri's mind and he will take care of Bharath. Jayaram takes leave saying he will come and see him frequently. Jothi bring coffee and asks where Jayaram is told that he has left. Masil wants the coffee but Jothi refuses to give him saying it has sugar in it and goes off.

Ram in his office and thinks about his employees talking about his management and how bad the company is doing. He then has flashback about his Manager talking about veetu maapilai, followed by Ganesh saying how weak he is. Him telling Rekha not to associate with Niwas and Rekha telling him off. The argument with Rekha. Oh what a sad face (looks like there are some crocodile tears 😭 ). An Auto stops at Masil's house and a woman gets out and tells the auto manto wait. She goes to the door and stops herself from ringing the door bell and thinks what if it is the wrong place and whoever opens the door asks who she is. She goes and peeps thru the window and sees Jothi sitting down cutting vegetables. THODARUM.

Feb 27 (Wed):

The new lady peeps thru the window and sees Jothi and realizes that she is Masil's wife, she then sees Kasthuri coming towards Kasthuri and calling her Athai, and she says "oh the DIL". She talks to herself and says that there are so many people in the house but he is nowhere to be seen! Masil comes down the stairs and is spotted by the lady and she smiles and moves to the door and rings the door bell. Masil answers and is shocked to see the lady and asks what she is doing there at his house when she was told not to come there. The lady says that Masil did not visit her as promised and that she needed the money, hence her visit. Masil tells her to leave and wait at the temple nearby and that he will be there shortly with the money. The lady tells him she will wait for ten minutes and if he is not there she will come back and goes away. Masil goes back inside and walks upstairs without a word. Both Jothi and Kasthuri are puzzled but keep quiet. Masil comes downstairs in a hurry and tells the ladies he is going out for a while. Jothi asks him where he is going but Masil tells her off saying it is not proper to ask such question when one is going out. Jothi tells him that food is ready and for them to eat first before he goes out. Masil tells her he will come back, then eat and leaves. Kasthuri watches this and thinks there is something wrong and decides to follow him.

The lady is waiting and looking agitated. Masil goes to her and she tells him that if he had not come in the next five minutes, she would have returned to his house. Masil gives her the money and tells her to leave before someone sees her. He tells her that not to come see him anymore. They talk some more (muted dialog). Kasthuri watches this from behind a wall. After Masil leaves she chases behind the auto but is too late and the auto speeds off. Kasthuri wonders why Masil is giving the lady money and is determined to find out.

Masil is tensed and paces in his house dep in thought. Kasthuri watches her FIL from upstairs. She then goes into her room and calls the house. Masil answers the phone and Kasthuri talks with a changed voice and says its me and that she is calling to thank him for giving the money when she needed it.. Masil thinking it is the lady asks why she is callng the house and if she is trying to get him into trouble. She tells Masil that that is not her intention and why would she want others to find out about them. Masil tells her to hang up and puts the receiver down. Jothi brings coffee but Masil refuses and Jothi tells him it is he who had asked for coffee. Masil tells her it was before but now he does not want it. Kasthuri watches this from upstairs again and wonders if there is really something going on between her FIL and the lady but chides herself for thinking bad about her FIL as he is an honest and noble person.

Ram in his room (it is his turn to pace the room). He has flashback about him asking his MIL about Rekha's whereabouts and his FIL saying that it is not necessary for Rekha to tell Ram everything and to expect that is nonsense. Rekha comes in with milks and sits beside Ram. Ram is looking at a new picture on the wall and Rekha tells him that she bought it at a store. The photo has two kids in it and Rekha tells Ram that it is time for Santosh to have a sister or brother to play with. Ram tells her that with the present situation in his life, it is not a necessity. Rekha asks him what he means and why he is talking that way. Rekha also asks him what she is doing wrong and before Ram could answer, someone knocks at the door. Rekha tells him to hold on and says that it could be Shenbagam.

Rekha opens the door and sees Niwas. Niwas apologizes, saying that there is a call from a contractor they have been to trying to contact and he wants to speak with Rekha. Rekha takes the phone and tells the contractor to meet her at their office at 10 am the next morning. She then changes the meeting venue to her father's office because the Contractor is not able to go to her office which is further. She tells Niwas about the important meeting at her father's office and for him to be ready. Niwas says ok and apologizes again and leaved. Rekha goes back to Ram and they start talking. Ram tells Rekha not to have the meeting at his office. Rekha explains that the contractor's office is just a block away from her father's office and what is wrong in having the meeting there, furthermore Ram would know what it is all about. Ram tells her that she can come there alone without Niwas. Rekha asks why not and Ram tells her that the office staff are talking bad about her relationship with Niwas and he feels insulted. Rekha asks who is talking and she will see to it. Ram tells her no neeed but Rekha insists but Ram tells her that she can go around anywhere and do whatever she wants with Niwas but not to the office. Rekha gets mad and asks nevermind about what others are talking about her but she wants to know What Ram is thinking. Ram tells her the others are talkingbehind his back but he cannot. Rekha gets so shocked and mad and clutches at his collars. She asks him if he suspects her. Ram tells her to shut up and go to sleep. Rekha refuses saying she cannot sleep unless he explains his words. Ram again says that she and Niwas can go anywhere and do anything as long as it is notin front of him. Rekha shouts at Ram. MAR 3 (MON):

Continued from Friday - Bharath agrees to get married but wants Kasthuri to be his bride! Kasthuri's is shocked - her eyes almost pops out!. Bharath tells her when Masil proposed Kasthuri to him, he did not have the intention of getting married. But now he has let Kasthuri into his heart and wants only Kasthuri as his wife. The changes came with Kasthuri's love and her care for him. Bharath asks for Kasthuri's answer. Kasthuri tells him that she did not expect this from Bharath. She tells him that she only did what she did because he is her teacher and nothing else. She says that she always thought of him as her teacher and cites Raman and Laxman who although are human being, they are prayed to as celestial beings and leaves. Bharath feels bad and says sorry to Kasthuri.

Bharath in bed and shouting Kasthuri's name and apologizing repeatedly. Hearing this, Kasthuri, Masil and Jothi enters his room and Kasthuri tries waking him up and asks why he is shouting her name. Masil intervenes and tells Bharath that no need to apologize to Kasthuri and if he wants to help Jayaram and Hema, he should get married. Only with his marriage, Jayaram and Hema will tie the knot, saying this he and the other leave. Bharath talks to himself that he already knows the answer if he were to ask Kasthurit o marry him and decides to keep mum.

Rekha in her office looking at some files. Niwas comes in whistling and tells her that he has just returned from the site and is happy with the work in progress. He predicts that their project will be completed within the next 5 months or so. Rekha too is very happy saying that sales of the site has been good and they should make a good profit. Niwas than tells Rekha that he has 2 tickets for Hariharan concert for the evening and they are attending. Rekha asks him to get another ticket for Ram but Niwas tells her that he bought the ticket in the black market and would be nable to get another ticker. He tells her that Ram is not interest in music and when Rekha asks how he knows, he tells her that people interested in music would always be happy. He says that the next time the show comes to town they will all go. Unknown to them the office boy is eavesdropping. The office boy then calls Ram and tells him about Niwas and Rekha going to the concert, then to the hotel to eat and much more. Ram asks him to tell everything he heard and the man continues. Rekha walks behind the office boy and listens to the conversation. The office boy turns and see Rekha and stops talking despite Ram shouting at theother hand. Rekha takes the phone from him and listens to Ram asking him to tell him what Rekha and Niwas were talking about, Rekha is shocked and discconnects. She asks the office boy who he was talking to and he tells her his friend. When she asks when and how Ram became his friend, he blabebrs. Rekha slaps him and asks him tell her everything. The man tells Rekha that Ram paid him and even bought the cell for him so that he can inform about her talk to him every hour. Hearing this, Rekha gets real mad and goes home.

Radha is surprised to see Rekha return home early and asks her what the matter is. Rekha just goes upstairs and confronts Ram. Ram tells her that he only wanted Niwas watched because he does not trust him. Rekha tells him not to lie anymore because the office boy had told her everything. It is Ram's turn to be shocked. Ram tells her it is all Rekha's fault that he had to resort to this. He says only Rekha is saying that Niwas is her childhood friend whereas Niwas has his eyes on her. Rekha tells him that she is ashamed to be a woman and more ashamed being his wife. Ram counter attacks saying if she had not married Ram, she would have married Niwas. Hearing this Rekha catches hold of Ram's shirt collar and shouts at him. Annamalai knocks on the door and Rekha opens it. Annamalai comes in asking what they are fighting about and he can hear their voices downstairs. Rekha tells him about Ram paying someone to follow and watch everything she and Niwas are doing because he suspects her and Niwas' relationship. Hearing this Annamalai gets furious and palaaarrrrr! slaps Ram, much to Ram and Rekha's shock. Annamalai asks how dare Ram think of Rekha like that and tht his family is not like Ram's family - immoral. He then pulls Ram by the collar and despite Rekha's and Radha's pleadings, throws Ram out of the house and tells him to get lost and not to set foot in the house. Ram is too shocked to say anything. Ram and Radha are unable to do anything. Ram just looks at Rekha and walks out. THODARUM.
