May 25 (Fri):

Rekha and Ram are in the room and Kasthuri comes there. Rekha in her servant tone of voice, tells Kasthuri that soon she is going to a new home. Ram hears this and has his usual pori-pori face. Rekha tells Kasthuri that they have to go see the house.

Ganesh is waiting at a house. Ram, Rekha and Kasthuri comes to see the house. Rekha tells Kasthuri to go in first followed by Mr. Ram (that's how Rekha calls Ram these days!) They are shown around the house by Ganesh and both Rekha and Kasthuri like the house and decide to rent the house. Ram's mother calls him on his cell and she asks to speak with Kasthuri. Kasthuri's mom asks why she never calls them. Kasthuri's mom wants to know if Ram takes care of her. Kasthuri says yes. MIL then tells Kasthuri that they are coming to town to do some purchases for Jayanthi's wedding and would stay with them. MIL then asks if she can talk to Rekha. Rekha talks to her MIL and tells them that both Ram and Rekha are very happy now. MIL is happy to hear that. She also tells Rekha that they are coming there in a few days. Rekha tells them they will have to move in before their in-laws come.

At home, Rekha tells Ram that she has taken care of everything about moving out but she does not know how to take Kasthuri with them. She asks Ram if he has any ideas. Ram says that he has no idea. Rekha then says she herself will talk to mommy but will have to do it when her daddy is there. Ram laughs at her and says mommy will never allow Kasthuri to go with them. There is a knock at the door and it is mommy. Mommy tells Rekha that she is sending Kasthuri with them so that she will be helpful to Kasthuri. Rekha is very happy and tells her mommy that she will inform Kasthuri herself. Rekha then tells Ram time is good for both Kasthuri and her that is why things have been working out for them and leaves Ram who starts to think. THODARUM.

May 28 (Mon):

It is morning and Jr. Devil (Sumathi) sees that no one is up. she calls the brother's cell and Thanam wakes up to the ring and sees that they are late. She wakes her husband up as both of them are working the 1st shift. Thanam comes out and is confronted by Jr. Devil who tells her that Sr. Devil has been up and waiting for cofee since 6 am! Thanam says she is late and so what. If her mother is waiting for coffee why don't she make coffee for her. JR. D says that when she is there why should she go into the kitchen. Siva comes out and tells his sister off. His sister tries to talk bad about Thanam but Siva tells her off. He then tells Thanam not to worry and get ready for work.

Annamalai's house is in a sombre and very sad mood. Why? Because their one and only daughter is moving out! Kasthuri pleads with mommy to let her stay but Mommy and Daddy both tells her that their only consolation is that Kasthuri will be with Rekha and take care of her for them. Ram and Rekha come down and say their good byes. A tearful set of parents bid farewell to their daughter with blessing.

At the new house, preparations for prayers are in progress. Ganesh calls Ram and the Priest tells him to sit down on the dias. Kasthuri then calls Rekha to come down and when the Priest asks for the wife to sit beside Ram, Rekha tells Kasthuri to sit. The priest then gives a garland to Ram and asks him to put on Kasthuri and vice-versa. Ram does with a sullen face. Ganesh is taking photographs. While the prayers are going on, at Rekha's house Mommy is sad and missing her daughter. Daddy comes there and both decide to visit Rekha. They show Rekha's parents on the way and prayers going on. Finally the parents arrive at the house and is seen by Ganesh who quickly informs Rekha. Rekha then tells Kasthuri to get up and takes the garland and puts on herself and sits beside Ram, much to the surprise of the Priest. The Priest questions Rekha but is told to carryon with the prayers. The Priest goes to sprinkle holy water around the house and Ganesh follows him and when the priest questions about the change, Ganesh stashes some cash on the priest's hand and the priest nods and says he understands. Both parents come in and the prayers over, they give a gift to Rekha and Ram (a blown up photograph of Mommy and Daddy!) Rekha is very happy with the gift. She then shows her mommy around the house. Mommy is upset that being pregnant, Rekha should not had sat at the omum and the priest should ahve known about this. Rekha says it is all right and mommy walks ahead of her into the kitchen. THODARUM.

may 29 (Tues):

Ram comes home from work and asks if Rekha had returned. Kasthuri says no. Kasthuri then shows Ram the phone being installed. She tells him that Rekha had asked that the phone be fixed. Ram gets angry and says that Rekha will not return until late and goes in. The phone rings and it is Kasthuri's father. Kasthuri is surprised that her father has the number. They talk some more and then Kasthuri's attai talks to her and asks Kasthuri to come back so that she can take Kasthuri to see the doctor there.

Rekha comes home with some beauty products and flowers. She calls Kasthuri and gives it to her. She also tells Kasthuri to groom herself and begin to tie saree lower and to get rid of the ugle ribbons she wears (Finally!) Kasthuri tells her she is used to what she is wearing and doesn't want to change. Ram comes there and asks why Rekha had asked him to come home early. Rekha says that she wants Ram to take Kasthuri for a movie and gives him the ticket. Ram tells her no and walks away. Rekha gets angry and goes up.

Rekha is looking thru some papers and Kasthuri walks in with milk. Rekha tells her to go to bed. Next morning, Ram comes down ready for work and Kasthuri tells him to eat breakfast. Ram asks if Rekha is home and if she had breakfast. Kasthuri says Rekha has left and that too without eating. Ram gets angry and shouts at Kasthuri. Mommy comes there looking for Rekha and ss surprised and angry when Kasthuri says she had already left for work. Mommy asks Ram what is wrong and Ram wih=thout answering her leaves. Mommy wants to know tht is happening and if both Rekha and Ram are happy. Kasthuri tells mommy not to worry as she will definitely informt hem if anything is wrong. Mom is upset. THODARUM.

May 30 (Wed):

Sumathi goes to her mother and asks her where she got such a DIL. Megala asks her why she is asking and Sumathi tells her about she asking Thanam why she had not given coffee to her mother. Megala tells Sumathi that they should do something to get Thanam out of the house and only then Siva will think about them. Thanam hears this when she brings coffee for them. She asks why they are so mean to her when she has no hatred towards them. Megala starts to badmouth her but Thanam stops her. Both MIL and SIL are shocked. Thanam then tells her MIL to instill good manners to her daughter as she will one day go to another's house as DIL. Both Mother and daughter tell bad about Thanam again. Thanam then tells her that she knows about how good they are and about Sumathi writting the love letter. Both mother and daughter are shocked again and stare at Thanam. After Thanam leaves they plot yet another plan.

Kasthuri goes to Ram and tells him that Rekha wants a passport size photo of him. Ram asks why Rekha cannot ask him direct and goes out and ask Rekha the same. Rekha says that she has to go thru Kasthuri as she is his wife. Ram tells her she is his wife also but Rekha is not listening and give him a huge lecture (the usual). Ram after hearing all this looks at Rekha's neck and laughs. Rekha tells him that she is only wearing the 'Thali' for her parents sake and has no qualms about discarding it as soon as she feels it is time and when she divorces him. Ram says that is not so easy as she is carrying his child to which Rekha says that she is the mother of the child and will never allow Ram to see the baby ever. Ram is shocked. Rekha then asks Mr. Ram for a photo to register for a Ration Card. She tells him that the Ration Card is for proof that Ram and Kasthuri are head of the household and leaves. Kasthuri tells Ram not to listen to Rekha as she is speaking in anger. Ram turns around and slaps Kasthuri (I think Kasthuri deserves the slap as she is sooooooooo STUPID!). Kasthuri asks Ram why he is slapping her when it was Rekha who told him off. Ram leaves after hisusual 'CHE'.

Rameshwaram is in his office with his shishyan. They are talking about how they have no business and haven't paid rent for the last 4 months. Rameshwaram sees Ram coming to see him. He welcomes Ram and asks what is the problem. Ram narrates his problem. Rameshwaram is very happy and thinks that there is a chance for him to get Rekha after all. He advises Ram to pretend to be all lovey dovey to Kasthuri because this will make Rekha jealous and will then accept Ram. Ram is hesitant but Rameshwaram convinces him to do just that. Ram leaves saying that he trust Rameshwaram. THODARUM.

May 31 (Thurs):

I almost pulled my hair off when watching this so bear with me if it is too short. The entire episode was disgusting!.

Rekha visits Mommy and Daddy. Mommy is very happy to see her daughter and tells her to eat with them as she had made some noodles. Rekha sits down for dinner with them and informs them that she is staying the night and she had already informed Ram about it. Mommy is happy.

The evil mother-daughter(Megala/Sumathi) team are eating dinner. Megala tells Sumathi that the Sambar is very tasty and eventhough they don't like thanam's attitude, her cooking is very good. Sumathi tells her mother not to praise her DIL. Megala tells Sumathi to learn cooking from Thanam. Thanam comes and sits down to eat with them but Megala spits the food and tells her that the food is nasty and Sumathi says the vegetable are too big to swallow. They talk bad about her family again and Thanam walks out. Megala then tells her daughter to eat the good food.

Ram comes home and thinks about Rameshwaram's advise - to be loving to Kasthuri. Ram calls Kasthuri is a very loving tone and asks her to bring towel. Kasthuri brings towel and Ram thanks her and brushes her cheeks. Kasthuri is all shy and happy (Disgusting). Later at dinner Kasthuri is serving food and Ram holds her hand. Kasthuri is surprised but happy. she tells him to let go of her hand when the phone rings. She answers and it is mommy telling her that Rekha is staying the night. Rekha then talks to kasthuri telling her the same.

Rameshwaram is in his office thinking. His concience appears and tells him that what he is doing is wrong. Rameshwaram says he has been waiting for Rekha for the last 10 years and Ram appeared and married her. Now there is a chance for him to get her back and he is taking it. His concience then tells him to visit his sister and BIL so that they will be supportive of him when the time comes.

It is night and Kasthuri is asleep on the floor as usual. Ram goes to her and wakes her up and tells her to sleep with him on the bed. Kasthuri is all happy at this change of heart with Ram and goes to sleep on the bed. THODARUM.

June 1 (Fri):

Vaathu wakes up in the morning and is happy to be on the bed beside Ram!(Ayo! Kadavule kapathungapa!) She goes to the kitchen to make coffee and thinks about Ram's changed behavior towards her and thinks that if this goes on, then Ram and Rekha would separate for ever and she will not let that happen.

Both Shiva and Thanam are asleep, and Thanam wakes up and tells her husban to get up as they both have the 1st shift that day. Jr. Devil, Sumathi walks in with a tray of coffee for both brother and SIL, much to their surprise. sumathi apologizes for her rude behavior and promises to be good from now on. Sham is very happy with this change in his sister but Thanam is suspicious but keeps quiet and takes the coffee with a smile. Sumathi walks out.

Rekha comes back in the morning and is greeted by Kasthuri. Kasthuri asks why Rekha did not come back and Rekha says she felt like staying with her parents. another reason being she wanted Kasthuri and Ram to have some privacy. Ram walks in on their conversation and pretends to be very nice to Kasthuri. He tells her that he now understands that Kasthuri's love for his is genuine as she has always respected and loved him, whereas Rekha loved him for sometime and now hates him. He also tells Kasthuri that the time will come for them to live as husband and wife. All this is watched by Rekha who is pleased at the change of events.

Megala is sitting in the living when Sumathi walks towards her. Megala wants to know what her daughter was doing in Shiva's room so early in the morning. Sumathi tells her she took coffee for them. Megala gets upset saying that sumathi has changed and is now on Thanam's side and not caring for her. Sumathi at first pretends that she has turned over a new leaf and that Thanam is a good person. Megala believes and stars crying. Sumathi then tells her mother no to worry and all that she is doing is an act. She then reminds Megala that it was she who had asked Sumathi to try new tactics to destroy Thanam's live and that is eactly what she is doing. She also tells her mother that soon Thanam will be chases out. Thanam who comes out of her room listens to their conversation unknown to the two evil.

Kasthuri is in the kitchen making coffee. Rekha comes to the kitchen to get herself some coffee. Kasthuri tells her that she will make coffee for Rekha but Rekha tells her that she is capable to do her own work and that Kasthuri is not her servant and walks away. Rekha goes up the staircase and trips. She falls and screams in pain. Kasthuri runs to her aid. THODARUM.

June 4 (Mon):

Continues from Friday. Rekha trips on the staircase and twists her ankle. Kasthuri comes there and lifts her leg and massages it. Just then Ram enters and sees this and gets angry with Kasthuri. He tells her she is not a servant and he doesn't want Kasthuri to serve Rekha like one. Rekha is very pleased with what she is hearing and tells Mr. Ram that is was fault and not Kasthuri's. She also tells Ram that any husband who loves his wife would not want her to be a servant to another and goes up. Ram calls Kasthuri and gives her a saree, some flowers and shows her two tickets for the cinema and tells her to get ready to go out. Kasthuri refuses saying that she does not want to leave Rekha alone but Ram tells her to go. Rekha also tells Kasthuri to get ready and go.

Megala and her friend are talking. Sumathi is also there reading papers. As usual Megala's friend is bad mouthing Thanam, saying she has loose morals and is not fit to be a DIL. Shiva comes there unnoticed by the two women and listens to the conversation. Sumathi notices her brother and she walks to Megala's friend and tells her to shut up and not to talk bad about her SIL. Both Megala and her friend are surprised! Sumathi then tells the lady to leave and not to come back if she talks bad about her family. Shiva seeing this is happy and goes in. He tells Thanam about how Sumathi told the lady off for bad mouthing her and says that Sumathi has now changed. Thanam who listens to this talks to herself - how long is Sumathi going to put up an act of a miss goody two-shoes!

The Loosu mama (Rameshwaram) visits his sister and they talk about Rekha and Ram moving out. Annamalai also joins them and they talk some more about the business Rameshwaram is doing and he tells the loosu that he is not a good businessman and that is why he is running a loss.

Ram is in his room and Rekha comes in wanting to talk to him. She tells him that she is happy that both Ram and Kasthuri are now living as husband and wife and that it is time for her to leave them and go back to her house. Ram tells her she can't and what she will do if her parents ask. Rekha says she will tell them the truth. Ram gets panicky and tell Rekha to live with them as a threesome! Rekha refuses and leaves. Ram devices a plan to keep Rekha there.

Kasthuri brings milk for Ram and she gets ready for bed. Ram tells her to sleep on the bed but she refuses. Ram opens the door and shouts at Kasthuri saying that they don't have to pretend for others and to lvie as they were before. Rekha who is sitting outside listens to this and is surprised. THODARUM.

June 5 (Tues):

Rekha listens to Ram's ranting to Kasthuri. He then closes the door and tells Kasthuri to sleep on the bed which she does. Ram turns away and sleeps and Kasthuri is sad seeing Ram turn away from her and cries to sleep!

Next morning, Kasthuri is in the kitchen and Rekha comes there and tells Kasthuri that she is happy about Ram accepting Kasthuri as his wife and soon Rekha can leave them. Ram comes there and Rekha sees him. Rekha continues to say that she has thrown Ram out of her mind and heart as soon as she learnt that he is a married man. She also says the only thing she cannot undo is bearing a child but she will never let Ram come near her child because even Ram's shadow is enough to corrupt her baby. Kasthuri is shocked and tells Rekha to reconsider. Rekha is adamant in her decision. Ram is totally shocked. Rekha goes upstairs and ont he way tells Mr. Ram that soon she will be out of their lives for good.

Rameshwaram and another man are waiting and Ram goes to meet them. Rameshwaram introduces the man as a professional killer. Ram is shocked. Rameshwaram tells Ram to send the man as the cook to his house and that he will take care of Kasthuri for him. Ram agrees and leaves them. After Ram leaves, Rameshwaram tells the man to finish off Kasthuri and put the blame on Ram. That way Ram will be removed from Rekha's live for ever and his route will be clear.

Kasthuri is cleaning and the killer comes there saying that Ram sent him as the cook to assist her. Kasthuri doesn't want him there and tells him to go. Rekha comes there and tells Kasthuri to let him in as Ram is doing that for her only. Kasthuri still refuses. Ramcomes there and tells Kasthuri that he has given advance payment to the man. Kasthuri tells him to keep the money and leave them as she doesn't need him. Ram has no choice but to tell the man to leave. The manhowever pleads to let him work for a couple of days before they decide. Ram tells Kasthuri to reconsider and goes in. Kasthuri tells the man that he doesnot look like a cook but looks like a 'Kolakaran'. Ram who is drinking water is choked! THODARUM

June 6 (Wed):

Ram meets Rameshwaram and they talk about the men he sent to Ram's house as a cook. Ram says Kasthuri sent him out and refused to employ him. Rameshwaram says not to worry as he will think of something else. He then tells Ram to pay him $10,000 that he spent on the man and they leave.

Shiva and Thanam are at the doctors and the doctor after checking Thanam says that she is pregnant and both husband and wife are happy.

Ram and Kasthuri are asleep and there is a knock at the door. Rekha calls for Kasthurima and when Kasthuri opens the door she is shocked to see Rekha dressed as the maid. Rekha tells both Ram and Kasthuri that Ram's parents are on the way and will be ther ein less than 1/2 hr. She tells them to get ready and leaves. Ram's parents arrive and they exchange greetings. Ram's dad see's their photos (enlarged) hanging on the wall and is very happy and gets emotional. They talk some more and Rekha tells them to go freshen up. Ram is surprised about the photo and Rekha tells him that she has to work hard to give Ram a good name and walks off.

Everyone sits down for a meal and Rekha serves them. After the meal, Jothi sits down thinking and her husband wants to know what is wrong. she agains talks about Kasthuri not being pregnant and wants to take her to see a doctor. Rekha comes there and tell them that all will happen in good time. Kasthuri is listening to this and gets upset. Kasthuri feels bad and starts crying and Rekha who comes there consoles her and tell her not to worry and that live will be better and she will be able to fulfill her in-laws wishes soon. THODARUM.

June 7 (Thurs): a brief update:

Ram's parents want to go shopping and asks Ram to take them. Ram says he is busy and tell them to take Rekha because she was born and raised in the town and as such would know where to shope better.

Rekha receives call from Daddy's office and is answered by Masilamani. PA asks for Madam and Masilamani thinks it is Kasthuri. Rekha somehow takes the phone and handles the call and this is heard by Jayanthi who thinks something fishy is going on and want to find out while they are there.

Shiva and Thanam go back from work. Shiva offers sweets to the two evils and tell them Thanam is expecting and then tells his wife to go and rest. Both evils plan to throw Thanam out of the house by convincing that the child is not Shiva's but Murali's.

It is night and everyone is going to bed. Rekha sleeps in the kitchen. In the middle of the night Ram come sto get water and see's Rekha sleeping in the kitchen. Kasthuri too comes there and see her. Rekha wakes up and Kasthuri is upset to see Rekha sleeping int he kitchen. THODARUM.
