Thanks for the update, Roja! Actually, I would have loved it if Rani had told her mother to go ahead and burn herself - she could have called her bluff, because there is no way LR1 will do it, esp knowing that she has all the money hidden in the backyard.

Btw, it looks like your vocabulary has expanded, and you neglected to tell us about it - what is this "towel jump promise"? Thunni mel aanai? thunni mel sabatham? thunni kudhi aanai? My brain gives up. Do tell before I die of suspense.

What is behind this thundu pottu thandi sathiyam? I have never heard the expression before (along with several others, I guess) or else this is a fairly recent expression.

seen that famous murungai kai movie ( forgot the name of the movie!!)
Oorvashi does a TJP and Bhagyaraj marries her - guess it is one of those
harsh form of promise??!!

that movie is Mundhanai mudichu.. In that movie Ooravsai kuzhandaya thanduva ..
