Paul Wesley and Torrey DeVitto Getting a Divorce

Prepare your hearts. You are not going to want to hear this. Paul Wesley (Stefan) and his wife of two years, Torrey DeVitto, have decided to divorce, People magazine reports.

The Vampire Diaries heartthrob, 31, and hisPretty Little Liars actress wife, 29, first met way back in 2007 on the set of a film: Killer Movie. They wed in a private New York City ceremony in April 2011.

Paul and Torrey "have decided to amicably split. They will continue to remain good friends," Paul's rep tells the magazine.

We are heartbroken at this news. First Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev break up, now this!? That's it. True love is dead. We refuse to believe in romance or happiness ever again.

No word yet on the cause for the split, but we have a feeling that distance may have been a factor. Paul lives in Atlanta, Georgia full-time while filming TVD, while Torrey works in Los Angeles. Last year, the PLL beauty filmed a role on Paul's show, and he told fans at a May 2012 convention that getting the chance to work with his wife was a welcome change.

"It's fantastic because otherwise we'd be 2000 miles away, Los Angeles and Georgia, so it's very nice to be in the same geographical location," Paul said at the time.

News of Paul and Torrey's divorce comes just month after his co stars Ian Somerhalder (Damon) and Nina Dobrev (Elena) ended their long term dating relationship in May 2013. Not the best news in the world of TVD romance lately.
