In this year's season finale of 'The Vampire Diaries' so much went down that our heads were left spinning. In Season 5, everyone is in Mystic Falls is in for some huge surprises when it's discovered that not everything or everyone is what or who they seem. Not to mention, a few of our favorite supernaturals are headed off to college. With so much to look forward to, it's making Thursday, October 10 seems like a lifetime wait for the new season of TVD. So any details regarding 'The Vampire Diaries' Season 5 is a lucky bonus in a day in the life of an anxiously awaiting TVD fan. According to Spoiler TV, a few casting snippets regarding TVD Season 5 have been uncovered. However since our beloved TVD doesn't begin filming until July 8 in Atlanta, nothing has been 100% confirmed yet.

In Episode 5.01 we will see the following recurring characters.

Nadia – And emotional and beautiful 20's something who has traveled the earth on a mission of vengeance.
Jesse – Mid 20's, college upperclassman.

Also in 5.01 we will see a character called "Megan". 20's and head of her class, too smart for her own good.

Episode 5.03 will see the introduction of another recurring character called "Tessa". A nobleman's daughter who is both powerful and insightful.
