Hey Peeps...A very long over due thread I am making!!I should made it right after the episode...**Gosh what an episode it was I'm still processing everything**

But you know what??For the first time ever for me Stephen's ''Stephen-ness'' over rode Damon's ''Damon-ness''...I mean the way they both treated Elena's decision making Damon was being too ober-bearingly protective towards her when he should try and understand her at a time like this..He was insecure about loosing her but he should have put his faith in her..To quote twilight at a time like this Elena can't always be Lois Lane!!She would want to be superman too...

In a relationship two people should have equal contributions..The way Stephen finally gave in and let Elena what she thought right was really refreshing..I mean he can't always dictate the terms of THEIR lives!!Nor can Damon..I mean Elena is a person..She has some sense of self-preservation!!

I think Stephen finally realized that Elena doesn't want to die herself because she knows how important she is to him..She loves him and can't live without him while it's the same for him..All she wants is a clean safe..No one dies.No sacrifices!!

I know a lot of people would think Damon's possessiveness was good..And smart but what I think is that it's about time Damon dropped the lone ranger act..Because with the same goal if a group is working together they have a much better chance of winning!!The way he said ''go to hell'' in the end..That he said out of frustration because he can't trust anyone with Elena..!!Everyone was sorting things out their way not his...Which irked him!!

Please give ur two cents!!

Loved the topic! 👍🏼... Completely agree! I loved how Stefan let Elena go back to Elijah even though he doesn't fully trust him but I don't blame Damon for his reaction either... It's the only way he knows how to act... How to stop someone he cares for being hurt...
Do I make sense?

You do make sense..From Damon's point of view Elena is always trying to be the martyr saving everyone but herself..So he will think that she is protecting everyone but herself...What I liked about Stephen enough to make the thread was that he knew how Elena was..He understood her sacrificing nature but still he put his faith in her...!!!
Equality and trust is a vital thing in relationships IMO😊😊

Well, the problem here is life and death situation, so Stefan allowing Elena to make such kinds of decisions is him being not a good boyfriend. Especially after what Elijah had been planning, Elena could have been kidnapped. Plus, he shouldn't have trusted her after she was so bent on going in for a "suicide mission" earlier.

Stefan hated it when Damon didnt include him in the fake Bonnie death plan but he respected Elena when she didnt include him in "Bring Elijah back" plan. Such a contrast!
