No I haven't. I was effy and wanted to wait for two books together to read. I'll just stick to the regulars. As sad as it is to lose LJ I stil lwant to finish the series, a messed up closure is still better than no closure to me.

Plus i ve signed some twittions and petitions but so far no response :( :( i guess when those ghost books dont sell thats when the company wil realise that they made a big mistake firing the original author

Aaah ok 😆... Same here 😛... As much as I'm gonna miss LJ's writing I wanna see how the ghostwriter does and if the books aren't too different from the original ones then I'll read the rest otherwise I'll probably just rent from the library 😆... Because like you, I'd have to know how the books end 🤣...

Salz... She posted on her website that she was fired from writing her books... Further TVD books because she wanted DE as endgame & the publishers wanted SE and seeing as Alloy owned the rights to the TVD books they fired her and hired a ghostwriter to write book 8 onwards...

Read this:
http://www.fanpop.com/spots/damon-and-bonnie/articles/94251/title/lj-smith-fired
It explains everything 😛...

yeah, it is also in the wikipedia. I never knew writers can be fired. Anyway it is sad as i dunno if the ghostwriter can do justice to the series. Also in the wiki it stated sth like nothing was certain, not even if the hunter triology will be published at all and if u all have read midnight, that is definitely not the way i would like this series to end once and for all. It doesn't even feel like a final ending. I wish the publisher or whoever was responsible for firing l j smith after she was done with the whole saga. It would have only fair to the writer and the loyal fans.

as far as i know the return series did not go off so well in the market. So they fired her. Really lame move i think. And l j smith had already written part or full the first book of the hunter series and it was supposed to come out this summer. Bt with the ghostwriters nothing is finalized or even certain. Sigh.

Vampiregal... Hi 😃... You're new here right?
The Stefan's Diaries were written by a ghostwriter and I really couldn't get into those... I couldf really tell the difference between the two (LJ's books & the ghostwriters)...
So I'm hoping it's not the same person 😆...
The Hunter Trilogy's first book (Phantom) official cover has been released without the By LJ Smith tagline on it... Now it's Based on the books by best-selling author LJ Smith... Something like that...
Here's the cover:

The U.S. and U.K. covers of Phantom, the first volume in the new Vampire Diaries trilogy The Hunters, have turned up – and do our eyes deceive us or is that Meredith making her first appearance on a TVD U.S. book cover? Or is it a darker-than-usual Elena? You can check out bigger versions in the Gallery. Phantom hits shelves on October 25, 2011. Pre-Order: [Amazon US] [Amazon UK].

As for The Hunters trilogy itself – since L.J. Smith is no longer writing The Vampire Diaries series, we're not sure how much of the original concept (as alluded to in her blog) remains intact. Here's the official release from HarperCollins:

A regular on national bestseller lists, having sold well over three million copies, The Vampire Diaries series is a classic of thrilling paranormal romance. The Vampire Diaries series has captured the hearts and imaginations of readers—and the CW network TV show that it inspired has introduced millions more to the chills, thrills, and heart-stopping romance. Phantom begins a new trilogy in this breathtaking saga of love among vampires.

Since meeting the irresistible vampire brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore, Elena Gilbert has been to hell and back. Now that she and her friends have saved their hometown from a demonic spirit, everything can finally go back to normal. But Elena should know better than anyone that Fell's Church will never be normal. In Phantom, a dangerous new threat sets its sights on Elena. And this time she can only count on one Salvatore brother to protect her.

hi nayab, im new in this part and oh thanks for the sneak peek to the new book. Phew. I hope it's wont be too much disappointing.
And i have the stephen diaries: origin and bloodlust but i still haven't read them. I think though i would have finished both the books if they were entitled damon's diaries. Lol.
EDIT: i don like the part where it says that this time Elena can count on only one brother to protect her, though to me it always felt like Damon is the one always protecting her. Im guessing he is gonna take time to recover after being staked out in midnight. Sigh.
