Why else would he be standing there using all his efforts to stop his jaw from dropping to the floor while she just shook her head and searched the shelf for her desired book.

"You were the one who gave me this idea in the first place?!" He looked around and hissed at her, trying to keep his ever rising temper in check. Of course he couldn't get angry at her, not even in his wildest dreams!

Panchi looked at him, sighed and went back to shaking her head and searching the book. His eyeballs threatened to roll at his feet at her reaction.

"Kyun?" He could only utter helplessly.

"KD, I can't do this to Kiya!" Panchi gently tapped his arm and explained and he raised his eyebrows.

"You'd rather ke main kisi aur ladki ki feelings ke saath khelne ka risk loon rather than doing this with a friend jo sari situation pehle se jaanti hai?"

"I don't mean it like that!" She sighed but this time, he just shook his head and made way to leave the library. One more minute spent with Panchi's ridiculous reasoning might just make him burst out in anger at her and he wanted to avoid that at all costs.

"KD! Meri baat tou suno!"

He heard the familiar tap of Panchi's feet behind her before she called out to him and he only fastened his pace. He was taller than her and his stride was bigger. Add that to his own desire of getting away from her, the only way Panchi could keep pace was if she ran.

And she did run.

"Ruko! Please!" She finally caught to him and held his hand so he wouldn't walk away again. Clutching his hand, she stopped to ease her breathes again. Head bowed slightly, taking deep breathes, one hand holding KD's hand and other resting on his broad shoulder while he just looked at her and the students passed around them without sparing them a single glance.

Ever heard that Perspective is really important to understand any situation? Because it is.

"OMG!" Without realizing it, Kiya gasped out seeing this "scene". She hid behind the pillar and tried to glance around the passing students and get a better look at this rather intriguing scene. The cafe scene wasn't quite forgotten and now this! What was happening in the world?

She saw Panchi looking up to KD and say something to him while tugging his hand in her hand. She saw him soften and reply and for one second she thought KD noticed her behind that pillar but the next second, he looked at Panchi like nothing else mattered in the world.

The world was all green around Kiya.

"Kiya is behind the pillar seeing us..." KD leaned down under the pretense of playing with Panchi's butterfly hairband and whispered to her. Panchi, who thought she had succeeded in making KD understand why she couldn't have a fake affair with him, stiffened at this impulsively tried to turn her face to get a look at the sneaking girl herself but KD stopped her by strengthening his grip on her hand.

"What's she doing?" Involuntarily, Panchi felt her interest rise.

"Apne manicured nails se pillar ko scratch kar rahi hai, like a wild cat!" KD painted such an exaggerated picture that Panchi couldn't stop her laugh. KD winked at her in a totally friendly way but for someone like Kiya, who was feeling like an Alien seeing this scene, it was a wonder she didn't faint at that. When she couldn't take it anymore, she left that place, stomping her feet while doing so.

"Wait, she was actually jealous seeing us?" Panchi let go of his hand and asked, shocked, as they left Kiya storm away.

"Yehi tou main keh raha hoon...you'd affect her like no one else would. And since it's you tou koi khatra bhi nahin ke wo tumein koi harm pohchai gi.." KD huffed and explained, getting the vibes that this time Panchi would listen.

"You really thought it through?" She gave him a complimenting look and he grinned sheepishly.

"Kal poori raat yehi soch raha tha." He admitted. Panchi stared at him and didn't realize when she began chuckling at that.

"Fine! But let's set some ground rules!" She finally gave in and he punched the air in excitement. Deciding to ignore his childish behavior, she started walking beside him.

"First - this will be only in front of Kiya! Second - we won't overdo stuff and third - strictly platonic stuff!" Panchi counted on her fingers and KD nodded thoughtfully.

"What's "platonic stuff" anyway?"

"Like nothing too extreme jo do friends ke liye uncomfortable ho. Kiya ko already shak hai tou we don't have to do anything. Wo hamare har action ko 10 times magnify karke waise react kar. Nothing will be something to her and something will be EVERYTHING for her! So you, kuch zyada karna nahin padega." She explaining like a expert and KD could only marvel at the unpredictable nature of girls. A few minutes she was hell bent on staying out of this and now here she was, taking charge of things.

"And if we break any rule?" KD leaned in and whispered secretly. Panchi bit her lower up and leaned in closer.

"Koi baat nahin, rules are meant to be broken!" She whispered back and winked.
