Chapter 2:

it was 7 o'clock in the evening,and it was still over 80 degrees in Los Angeles.Even though I was only wearing a shorts,a thin white shirt,and my beloved striped socks,I was sweating buckets.It wasn't very attractive,but I was only meeting Ranveer's brother.
It didn't matter.
the parking lot outside of the hotel was surprisingly crowded.And when I was thinking about random thing a car was almost going to hit me and I jerked and fell down..Something,most likely a car door,slammed closed .It was a truck and I had seen it somewhere before.
"I am sorry"
My eyes flickered to the person who suddenly appeared at my side.I knew who he was the second I saw him.he was tall,but even from the ground I could tell that his were chocolate brown.His hair was disheveled and his dark jacket was loose over his shoulders.he was wearing a white shirt underneath and a pair of dark jeans.He is Ranveer's brother I bet he has the same type of chain written 'K&R'
"you are Ranveer's brother,right?"I asked the standing above me,praying I was wrong.
He was cute to be honest.
"Hey,how'd you-"His eyes went wide"Are you Kiya?"
I nodded.
"Should I take you to the hospital?"He asked his eyebrows forrowed in concern.
"No"I shouted,"I am fine!I just need to get up!"
Ranveer's bro didn't move.
"I just need to get up"i said between clenched teeth.
"Oh!Right!"he offered me his hand.
He was surprisingly strong.I mean,I'm not exactly as light as featger.I am more like an anvil.So it was nice to see someone could lift me.Once I was in my feet.
"I am sorry,Ranveer never mentioned your name"I told him.
"KD"
"Nice to meet you KD"I smiled.
KD smiled back.He was cute and his smile was more cuter.
"Where exactly are we going?"KD asked.
I turned to face him.He was much taller than me,but I kind of liked looking up.
"Didn't Ranveer tell you?"I asked.
"he said something about a dress shop"he shrugged.
"Yeah.Mary's bridal."I nodded,"In San Deigo"
"What"His eyebrows raised.
"It's only two hour drive"
"two hours?"
"Well I guess it's 4 hours round trip."I mumbled.
"Ranveer said I'd be back in time!"KD said angrily,folding his arms over his chest.
"back in time for what?"I frowned.
"Nothing"KD mumbled,still sulking.
"You and your bro are alike"I mumbled.
KD heard me.
"I am not an idiot:"He argued.
"Yeah yeah because intelligent people always goes to hit others with their cars"I mocked.
"You are bitter Chicklet"KD commented.
"Because you nearly ran me over stoneface"I argued.
""can we just start driving?It's going to be a long trip."
And a long night.
I nodded and KD went to the passenger's side.He pulled upon my door for me walking around to the driver's seat.I didn't normally get doors held open for me,So I might think that KD is a gentle man.
The inside of the car was,for lack of better word,disturbing.There were wrappers scattered across the floor,plastic bags and stuffs.I leaned forward and popped open the glove compartment slowly expecting a rat or snake but instead it was road map,role of duct tape,a pack of gum and a pack of playing cards.
"Can you do me a favor?"KD asked as he started the truck.
"What?"I asked.
"Don't tell Ranveer that I almost killed you"KD pleaded
"I won't"I lied.
But KD caught me.
"Look I mean it!"he said,suddenly very serious,"He will hold it against me for the rest of my life!Nothing ever goes right for me.Ever!And Ranveer knows it."
"What do mean nothing ever goes right for you?"I raised an eyebrow.
"I have always been really,really unlucky,Ranveer is an idiot'"
"You have got that right"I mumbled.
"-But trust me.I am not an idiot.It is just things go bad for me.For example,in the 3rd grade,I was on his soccer team.And took a shot,and wham"he slammed his hands against the steering wheel for emphasis,"It bounced off the goal bar and hit me on the forehead."
I started laughing.
"You think it's funny?I was in coma for 2 weeks."
My throat went dry.
"I have been in three comas before in my life and then tonight the worst"KD sighed.
"Ranveer made me to leave the bachelor party before I coulsd enjoy."
KD was serious.
"that's why you are mad?because you won't get back to the bachelor party in time?"I hissed in disgust.
I groaned and sunk down into the car seat.just then I thought I could be friends with this guys,I thought he was good,but he is other guys always consuming alcohol.
"Hey Kiya"KD asked.
"What?"I groaned.
"Can you look at the map and tell me where the hell I am supposed to be going,should I go left or right at the signal."
"Which signal"I aksed.
"This one right ahead of us"he pointed in front of him.Just past the McDonald's,there was a signal.
"Let's see"I unfolded the map.It was huge.
"Kiya"KD asked impatiently,pushing the unfolded map out of his face so he could see the road.
"I am looking"I said.
I looked at it.But I couldn't spot the one we were on.
"Kiya"KD asked.
"Give me one second"I said.
"I need to know which way to go!"He cried.
"Um"I mumbled.
"Kiya"he shouted.
"RIGHT"I went with my gut.
KD said as I said.He pulled a sharp right turn.And as soon as he did,I had a terrible feeling that we were heading in the wrong direction.
