hello girls,
I am really busy lately but i couldnt help but make this topic today.
I think the complaints we have against Thapki, that she doesnt hv hormones and she doesnt love Bihaan enough and lots more is Jigyasa's fault.
I feel like she doesn't emote well in all scenes, most of the times she keeps her woody, sullen and confused facade on while acting with Bihaan(only romantic or caring scenes) which makes her character Thapki seems heartless.
I am not saying jigyasa can't act at all, she can and we know it...and the serious expression she keeps on is because the directors asked her to, but there are lots of small small nuances like, just a small look, a small hand gesture, a little smile, a certain way of breathing or whatever, which can really increase the beauty / value of the whole scene.
Jigyasa has acted really beautifully in lots of sequences, so its not like she cant act...its just the scenes with Bihaan, the romantic ones, she looks disconnected, not emoting the right emotions which makes us feel, Thapki doesn't love Bihaan like Bihaan loves her.
This thing dawned on me yesterday, when Bihaan drank the poison, both Shraddha and Thapki lost their shit, but looked like Shraddha cared more for Bihaan by the way she reacted, than Thapki who also reacted to his drinking but to a smaller level not like Shraddha. But it should be in fact opposite...
In Thahaan moments for example when Dadi caught them secretly meeting and holding hands,, one second thapki looked confused /disinterested in Bihaan, next second she looked reluctantly interested , next second she looked shy,/ confused/dont know who Bihaan is(?)... next second she looked lovingly at him...this is so inconsistent...i get you need to look shy and all, but when you act that...u still need to keep in mind you love Bihaan he is not just a random person...
But when jigyasa acts she is angry on bihaan she acts like bihaan is a random person she is angry with...theres no medium or subtlety...its like, she is angry with a vengeance, she hates bihaan above all...theres no medium or softness in that anger...which should not be the case because she loves bihaan...
I dont know whether i could explain what i wanted to say...i am not an expert on acting or anything and i know, the actors are asked to emote certain way which is cool but, only those actors who can emote that way and add something of their own...excells in life...not all emotions could be taught or ordered...( we know there so many better looking actors than Shahrukh khan, but they dont have it what Shahrukh has which is something extra, which is essentially his own...and that is why Shahrukh is better than everyone)
Last night i felt like Shraddha cared more for Bihaan than Thapki when he drank the poison...and its in their subtlety of their acting...
