A rich beautiful girl marries a poor orphan boy, think it's a typical Bollywood story? Well, in today's episode of Teri Meri Love stories, it's not love that binds them together in holy matrimony. Instead, the girl's father chooses the orphan boy for his only daughter without her consent.

Saloni is Daddy's little princess and a spoilt young brat. Being Daddy's only girl she would get everything without any delay. And one day, Papa gets a groom for her as well. Niyanand Chaturvedi grew up in an orphanage and is a fairly conservative type of a guy. While our princess, Saloni, spends money wildly, Nityanand believed in saving it for future.

According to our source in Teri Meri Love Stories, "Saloni is a spoilt brat who has been living her life like a princess. But all her fairy tale dreams come crumbling down when her father gets her married to an orphan and poor yet a sincere guy, Nityanand Chaturvedi. Nitya hopelessly fall in love with Saloni the first time he sets his eyes on her. On their honeymoon, Nitya realizes that Saloni didn't want to marry a simple guy like him. So he decides to win her love."

Further the source adds, "So before they can live happily ever after, their adventure starts with their honeymoon in Venetian, Macau. In order to win Saloni's love, Nitya dances for her that ends up as a flash mob. Though Saloni gets impressed still she doesn't fall for him as she still dreams of getting back with her ex-boyfriend."

Nitya does everything he could to win over Saloni's heart. Will he make her realize his love for her? Or will he let her go? To find out, watch Teri Meri Love Stories tonight at 9 PM only on STAR Plus.

Articles ~ Not unhappy with show going off- air: Shaheer - TOI

image

Ano Patel, TNN | Sep 11, 2012, 12.00AM IST

Shaheer SheikhCharming and cheerful Shaheer Sheikh comes across as an affable guy, much like the screen character he played recently. When Shaheer played Anant in the daily soap 'Navya', he didn't realise that he'd get such tremendous fan following and become a teen heartthrob of sorts almost overnight.
Shaheer returns to telly as a geek in an upcoming episode of Teri Meri Love Stories. Armed with a law degree, Shaheer has dabbled in modeling, event management and is now focussed on a career in acting. He says, "I'm content in the space I am right now. I like to keep experimenting as an actor. I want to lead a happy life and not be crazy about making money. I might move to something else if I get bored of acting."

Navya, a show that had him playing a romantic lead, ended abruptly but this does not disappoint Shaheer. "It was a popular show. We had a good stance with the youth as it was a college love story. The show started losing interest when it steered towards getting the lead characters married. It got into the process of being another family drama. But it was a first-of-its-kind show on the channel, the show maintained good
TRPs and it achieved what the makers and all of us wanted. And nothing is permanent, so I'm not unhappy or upset that the show went off air," he says.

As a newcomer in tellybiz, Shaheer admits that he knew nothing about acting when he started and is, "still learning. Till now, I have played myself on screen. I want to do something different. Like the character I play in TMLS is different from that of Anant in
Navya." Shaheer is also happy about his chocolate boy tag; but would love to enact a negative character some day.

Shaheer seems serious about acquiring a fit body if the role demands it. "People have started taking fitness differently now. But I strongly feel that bulging biceps and muscles do not really define fitness. There is more to fitness than having six packs abs. A lot of newbie actors are joining the entertainment industry with great muscles and think that's the only prerequisite to being a star. I might build six pack abs for a character too, but it's not top of my priority list. Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan are doing well without six packs, so there's a lesson out there for aspiring actors who want to do romantic roles in films/on TV."

Shaheer loves to swim and finds it to be the best form of exercise. He also enjoys wildlife and potrait photography. He also has a small studio at home. Shaheer also plans to launch his music album soon. He laughs and says, "I'm a bad singer, in fact a bathroom singer! But I am writing a few songs and also composing them. It's a dream to come out with an album."

Shaheer who was in Macau to shoot for his telefilm is happy that the telly industry has shown tremendous growth in the past few years. He says, "This is one of the biggest industries of our country and it's good that people are ready to experiment with different concepts. Telefilms are turning out to be an interesting format. All entertainment channels should experiment and try new formats and offer viewers more choice. Hopefully, if the experimentation in programming continues, one day we'll have a variety of shows with diverse and interesting content like English GECs do in India."http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/tv/Not-unhappy-with-show-going-off-air-Shaheer/articleshow/16336066.cms?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=tweets
