The Necessary and the Unnecessary Negative Characters

Hello everyone!!As we all know that TSM has become a Villainon Ka Mela now. There is no dearth of negative characters in the show. So,now let's figure out which negative characters are necessary and which are not.According to me:

Necessary
Dev Agnihotri- Even though he is only grey shaded at the moment and not completely negative,I would say that he is necessary. His scenes are interesting and the character is portrayed by a powerful actor as well. Therefore,I feel that he should get proper screenspace.

Gajanan Chaubey-We cannot call Chaubeyji completely positive as he still retains his grey shades.I believe that Dev and GC are the two most important grey shaded characters in the show.

KauDra-These two are necessary as they provide comic relief to the show.

Unnecessary

Uma-Yes,I will call her unnecessary and I don't want her to get more screenspace.Uma was okay earlier as she did not know about Mantu's true feelings. But now she is completely black and gives the vibes of an Ekta vamp. With the presence of powerful grey shaded characters like Dev and GC,a vamp is not needed.

Rama's mom-Again she is another unnecessary negative character.I don't see the point in turning her into a vamp.TSM does not require saas-bahu sagas.

This is my point of view.Everyone is free to share their's.😊

Agree with what u have written for all the above characters...

Bhupinder Singh as Dev is making that grey shaded character worth watching i wud say...his strong personality and acting is making that track worth watching...👍🏼

Whereas GC is not a complete grey shaded character i wud say...bcoz his ego, strictness, beliefs, his views, lack of understanding people...is what make us dislike him...but he is not negative in any way like he doesnt plans or plots so as to harm anyone purposely🤔...but he is necessary...and also i wud say S.M Zaheerji portray the scenes powerfully...👍🏼

Rudra was evil as always..🤢.though his negativity is not justified yet...he was unbearable earlier...i hated him the most in this show...😡...his comic things toned down the negativity...but still i hate him the most...Hats off to Aarya for making Rudra so hateworthy...😆

Kaushalya is an Unnecessary negative character i feel...there was no reason to join him in the bandwagon of negativity...😕

Uma...i never ever wanted her character to take a drastic turn like this......her character is completely ruined...and that was completely unnecessary...CVs have turned her negative just to accomodate the unnecessary love triangle...😡

Rama's mom...she is another unnecessary negative character...her negativity will go to what extent...that is yet to see...the articles are making me worried...😕

I dont know if the producers of the show are trying to provide everyone with their own personal villains to overcome:-

Amaya/Uma
Sneha/Dev (but he essentially wants to ruin everyone)
Rachita/Rama's mother
Mantu/GC (potentially an overarching problem for the Mathurs too)

Although Jasmine doesn't have a villain assigned to her as of yet, she seems to have hostile feelings towards Rudra's mother - I dont know if you guys remember Jazz's dig at her during that pooja they had, where her name wasn't picked out from the lucky draw - i found that scene hilarious!

In regards to Rudra, at the moment he just looks like a joker, who initially wanted to avenge the ladies for being deprived of a father in his early years, but that seems to have been overshadowed by the evilness of the other characters.

If we spilt KauDra into two, then Rudra is necessary while Kaushalya is not.Rudra is funny and negative as well.Kaushalya gives it a more vampish feeling. But as we all know,KauDra can never be separated

GC is not a completely negative character but he manages to make us dislike him.He is realistic as people like him exist. He may have given up his grudge with the Mathurs but we can't expect him to give up his orthodoxity and belief system as well.I can connect with GC as my own Grandpa is an orthodox man too though not as much as GC.Yes,people like GC exist and that adds to the realism of the show.

About Dev,well I can't say whether people like him exist or not but as a grey shaded character,he is awesome. He is not one of those kitchen politics type of villains. You can't call him a villain as of now.But he is an interesting and complicated character which is an asset to the show.

Every show needs both positive and negative characters. And if the negative characters are good then they are a treat to see as well.

GC and Dev are powerful characters and that is what I love about them. They have an aura.A style.Rudra is fine for his comic timing. That is why they deserve more screenspace.

Uma,Kaushalya and Rama's mom were ,are and will always be unnecessary for me.

Well,I agree with you about Rudra.Still,he is far better as a negative character than annoying Uma

I agree with u

Dev played by bhupinder Singh is a very powerful actor who is grey waiting to watch what wud be his next plan to destroy mathurs after shaking hands with rudra.I just hope it is just grey.

Chaubey is also needed for the story to move forward.
He is not bad but due to his traditional beliefs and orthodox mentality he has become bit annoying.I want him to be like amrish puri in DDLJ who melts after seeing the love of Manya & RaRa.He just needs to be taught a lesson.

Rudra is also necessary coz at times he needs to be puppet in the hands of dev and chaubey & other times he can also act as cupid to love stories

All other villains r just there to increase the drama factor and to satisfy saas bahu type content watching audience though hari is positive till now.Fingers crossed

cmpltly agree... it also depends on the actors playing the roles... bupinder is dng an awesome job...evn rudra has improved alot... but uma is not required... actually even whn she was positive her chracter ws not needed at all... a friend who is 24/7 annoying ,loud... and rude... i din like her chracter frm begining itself... very badly picturized...
