Yet surprisingly by some curious mix of irony one shade is never highlight only hinted upon.Every couple calls their love pure, innocent and true. But the real innocence is always marred with eyelocks and physical intimacy. With physical attraction dominating much of the screen space we often dont see another aspect of love at all- the real aspect of love- the part where our happiness is second to that of our loved one.
Tere Liye has done the impossible. It has created a beautiful bond between Taanu whose existence has not even once experienced physical attraction. Its strength lies in its innocence and its purity.
From day one we have seen Taanu fight - each other and for the other.Married at 15 with no notion of what love or marriage is they have actually managed to live upto it -something which many adult couples could not.Anu's concern for Tani, his insistence of taking up his responsibility and his hidden and unsure love for her -everything has been brilliantly shown.
While we see very less expressions of love from Tani we know she cares for him more than she cares for herself.
In a child-like way with two cute children finding their way about a unridden and unjourneyed path Tere Liye has cleverly and subtly showed a love which reflects upon the purity by itself.Like the title song which talks of unconditional love- the show has down justice to it- shown unconditional love in a simple way.
Hats off to ekta ( going to commit suicide the moment I stop typing:P),the screenplay writer, the actors and Taanu!
I bid you farewell with a hope that older TAANU can do justice to what you have build up.I will miss you
