I've read many wonderful one shots and FFs in various forums. 😊 This one shot is such an inspiration. 😳 I had already posted this on another Forum and just wanted to apply it on TaAnu. 😳 So, don't say that you have read it somewhere. 😆 Hope you'll like it...
"Students, follow me to the lab!" Prof. James announced as he walked towards the laboratory.
I woke up from my seat and followed our professor along with the other students. "He always makes us stand in the library", my friend, Saji, whispered to my ears exasperated.
We always hate laboratory because whenever we fail to get good grades in exams, our professor brings us to the laboratory as a punishment. So that, we have to stand there doing experiments whole day without a break.
We entered into the lab and started to do experiments according to the directions of Prof. James. I happened to hear many students muttering curses under their breath. I and Saji smiled at those, wishing the same and giggling.
The place allotted to me was near the window. Saji was doing her experiments behind me and the place next to me was empty. I saw the place next to me. It belongs to someone whom I hate outside and admire inside. It belongs to my classmate who is next to me according to the attendance order. I always felt lonely whenever his place is empty in classes. I missed the annoyance created by that person. I smiled to myself.

"Hey, could you please lend me the pen?" he asked me.
"I have only one" I said and copied the notes without facing him.
"No problem, you give me that and later you copy from your friends" he told with a smirk which made me frown at him irritated.
"Hey its ok darling," he smiled, "I thought you'll do everything for me to impress me."
"Why should I impress you?"
"Simple. To make me love you!!!"
"Nonsense, why should I do that?" I asked still writing.
"Because, you love me!!!"
"Who said I love you?" I saw his face with a shock and irritation.
"Your eyes told me that!" he whispered to my ears.
Things started to roll in my mind. How did he find that? Was he noticing me when I stared at him during the art class? Or did he found the canvas in which I drew him?
Or did he saw my diary in which I had written my name along with his name?
Oh my god, he should not know that.
I was lost in thoughts while I gazed his eyes without my knowledge with confusions.
"Wondering how I know that?" he asked gazing mine in return with a smirk.
"Shut up!!!" I shouted as if I'm annoyed by his speech.
"Miss. Taani, try to understand where you are. You are not in your house and your disturbing my class!" professor shouted and the whole class laughed at me.
I stood up silently, "I'm sorry Mr. James". Prof. James shook his head and turned to face the board. He giggled keeping his hands in his mouth which made my face go red in anger.
I sat down keeping my hands on my head. The bell rang and the lunch time came. He touched my hands gently. "Hey, I'm sorry!" he said with a guilt look on his face.
I ignored him and walked towards the parking lot fast. He followed me calling out my name. But I rushed to my car when he pulled me by holding my arm tightly.
"Leave me alone!" I said as the tears streamed down my cheeks.
"Hey I'm sorry!" he was really worried.
But I ignored him again and drove my car fast.
May be he was kidding me, but I couldn't digest the fact that he found out my feelings for him. I was always fighting with him and insulting him eventually. He might ignore my love and revenge me for my behavior towards him. I had no hope that he would love me back if he knows that I'm in love with him. I was upset with that truth.
I spent the whole day crying and the night came. I couldn't able to sleep, so, I stared at the window of my room. Within some time, I saw someone climbing into the window and coming towards the bed in which I was lying. I opened my mouth to shout and that's when he jumped on me and closed my mouth with his palm. He was lying on me and I was struggling in his arms. He saw intensely into my widened eyes. It was him.
"I followed you the whole day but all the time you were ignoring me. But that's okay you please forgive me for what I did in the class. I couldn't catch you anywhere except your room. I know you always stick with your room and your window!" he almost whispered all these.
I went weak. I stopped trying to get out of his arms. I looked into his eyes and took his hand from my mouth. "Why you should be sorry for this? I know I'm not so important to you."
"May be." He replied and got up.
I was disappointed with his answer. I thought he would say I'm more important than anything else.
He continued, "I just felt bad that the professor was mad with you because of me, and that made me feel too bad." He shoved his hands into his pockets and looked at my disappointed face.
"Good night", he said and walked towards the window. I wanted him to stay a while more. I raised my hand lightly and opened my mouth to call him. I felt it wrong, so, I shook my head and looked down.
"Did you call me?" he turned and asked smiling with a smirk. I shook my head silently meaning that I didn't. He again smiled that killer smile and climbed down.

I smiled at what happened last night. Though his replies were disappointing, he managed to climb the window to see me, that made me happy and that caused this smile.
I raised the beaker and watched the reaction that was happening into the beaker. I thought to myself, what if I and he dissolve in each other's hearts like this? A sudden grin occupied in my face.
"I know you were thinking about me and that happened last night" he gently said in my ears. I jerked a little in shock and the solution spilled on my lab coat.
"You scared me, idiot" I said in a fake anger but smiled inside on what he said.
"Why you are always frowning at me? May be I should make you smell the laughing gas before saying anything." He said with a sigh.
I took a tissue paper and wiped off the solution from my coat and wondered when he came in. I again took the beaker and a tube and examined it deeply.
"What's wrong with this? Why it takes time to react…" I muttered under my breath.
He moved a note to my side and gestured with his eyes to read it. I narrowed my eyes and read what was written on it.
"You and I are the perfect solutions that will soon react if mixed. That makes the perfect chemistry. What you say?"
My eyes widened as I read it and I saw him with surprise. He winked with a smirk that I would die for.
"I love you!" he said sincerely looking into me eyes. I dropped the beaker and the tube on the floor and hugged him tightly which made him loose his balance and fall on the floor. I was lying on him.
"I love you too! I thought you might ignore me if you find my feelings for you" tears filled my eyes.
"That means you liked me since a long time?" he asked with a surprise.
I nodded my head and hugged him so tight, so that, my face rested in his chest.
I could hear his heart beat along with my classmates' squeal and Prof. James' scolding.
I want to dedicate this to my most awaiting show, Tere Liye...
