In this thread, I have also seen people writing that Meenal got praise from AR Rahman, but in this case there all kinds of bias can occur, for example rahman ji only watch her performance and not watched sumedha's performance, there are other bias out there that can occur too but I dont wont to say it. Secondly, Sumedha's voice was given so much credit by the Saregamapa mentors, Himesh, Vishal-Shekhar, Bhabhi, Ismal and these for big mentors giving credit to sumedha is very common sense to understand that Sumedha's voice has better quality. But once again there is bias in here, people would question if meenal has gone to saregamapa she would have gain more popularity and conclude that meenal has much better. So my point is that judge on your individual thought, likeness and not on Rahman's choice or HImesh, Vishal, Shekhar, etc. And according to me I like Sumedha's voice quality much better, I am sure other people would disagree because it's very personal choice, but thats my thought. Now on SUR, there are some songs that Meenal can sing better and there are some songs that Sumedha can sing better and if I am wrong check all the videos out there for of the singers u'll see that so I wouldnt say who has better SUR. However, as I claimed before Sumedha is a very good singer because to me her voice is unique with good quality and her SUR for her genre of songs is good.
