PART 2
It had been two weeks since the first time they had met and ever since then they were in constant contact; be it late night calls, or random texts throughout the day. There wasn't a single day that went by without some kind of contact. But that's not all Twinkle wanted. She wanted more. She needed more. She literally craved for more.
Kunj was someone who, she knew was shy from the start. Giving flowers to a girl he didn't even know? Not every guy would do that but that was what she liked. He was different and more lovable that way. Every time Twinkle would even imagine his bright eyes or his adorable smile, she'd get a goofy grin on her face and sadly that also resulted in more pricks from the thorns.
She turned towards the tiny stereo she had brought in a few days after her first meeting with Kunj. She was getting more and more hooked to love songs and it was weird but she started imaging them with different scenarios all with the same person; Kunj.
She took out her phone for the 4 th time in 10 minutes and sighed. No Messages And no missed calls either.
This boy was driving her crazy, it was official. Sometimes she wondered why she had let herself get so carried away into her dreams with him. She had always idolized these types of spontaneous romances but that didn't mean that they would work in real life.
Here she was making dreams with Kunj and her and for all she knew, Kunj could have found someone else in his life.
She glared at the stereo. Here she was in a semi-depressed mood and the stereo was belting out such happy tunes.
Right then her cell phone chimed with a beep and her eyes widened as she took out her phone and saw the messages icon flashing. Finally
She selected it and read his message.
Hey, sorry for not texting or calling today, got held up with something,
"Something?" Twinkle muttered to herself. "This doesn't sound good,"
Something or someone? *Wink*
She couldn't believe she actually sent that. She had officially lost her mind. Stupid boys and their tricks. She tapped her nails restlessly against the table till her phone chimed again.
Maybe someone...
She was shocked. She knew it was too good to be true. Sure they were friends now but that didn't mean she should've been expecting anything else from him. She was just setting herself up for heartbreak.
*Shocked* You won't tell me who?
This was really the wrong time for a romantic song to be playing , but what could she do? She couldn't bring herself to change the track--there was something haunting about the way some parts of the song fit her situation so appropriately.
You'll have to wait a little longer. I haven't told her yet either.
Did that mean she still had a chance? She should just call Kunj right now and confess everything.
She decided against that and tucked her phone back in without even replying to Kunj. She was just confused over everything that she was feeling.
She didn't want to tell him her feelings and then lose him as a friend if he didn't feel the same way about her but she was risking heartbreak if she had to see him with someone else.

The door opened then but she wasn't in the mood to look up and so she just greeted the person from behind the counter. "Hi there. Welcome to Bluemoon Florist, how may I help you?"
"You can help me by telling me how to lock this god darn door," She looked up as she heard Kunj's frustrated voice from the front.
Sure enough there he stood 6 feet tall at the door giving her a tiny smile from the door. Her heart starting beating faster. After two weeks she had thought she had imagined him looking so good but boy was she wrong. He really was that amazing.
She sighed. "Why are you locking the door?"
He just smiled as he turned the 'Open' sign to 'Closed' on the front door. "I wanted to talk to you."
"About what?"
He smiled as he walked behind the counter.
"Kunj," Twinkle smiled as she rolled her eyes. "You know you're not allowed behind the counter,"
"I am for today,"
"Oh? And what's so special today?" Twinkle asked.
"I'm planning on telling the girl I like today,"
Twinkle tried smiling as she turned her back to work on a new arrangement. "So who is she? Anyone I know?"
Kunj shruged as he leaned towards her. "You might--or maybe she's only someone I've seen."
"Well I won't know till you tell me will I?" She cuts the stems slowly, focusing all her attention on ensuring not to cut herself.
He starts leaning closer and closer to her and finally seeing her body still, he raises his hand to brush a strand of her hair away from her face.
He lowers his face towards her cheek before whispering. "You"
"What?" she whispered back, turning to face him; leaving mere inches between their faces.
"It's you Twinkle, ever since that night. You made me realize in those few moments what love is." He smiled at her. "Why do you think I've been trying to stay away from you for so long. I wanted to see if what I was feeling was love or not? Just being in contact with you was enough for me. I just needed to reassure myself that you were there. There for me,"
"I...umm wow?" Twinkle mumbled as she tried to understand what he was trying to say. "You...you mean you are...you like?"
He grabbed her elbow and pulled her towards him, her hands leaned on his chest while he lowered his lips to her forehead. "Yes genius. I like YOU,"
"Twinkle, you're someone special to me and I'm so glad I found you.You make me happy every time my cell phone beeps or every time we talk. I just...I'm falling in love with you,"
"Just shut up and kiss me," She smiled as she saw the yearning in his eyes for her and she knew it was reflected back in her eyes as well.
Her eyes closed as she felt Kunj's breath near her face, making her cheeks grow warm and turn red just like they always did in situations like this. Shut up, she told her mind, You told him to shut up now it's your turn. Anticipate the kiss.
All her thoughts evaporated as Kunj's lips captured hers and she felt herself being lifted closer to him and at that moment she knew.
Friendship really did lead to love.
