Chapter 30

She returned home late in the evening. Everyone were sitting in the living room chatting and Twinkle joined them too. Meanwhile Manohar recieved a call.
Ma: arre this is call from Kunj's office.
Twinkle was now already tensed. She was feeling restless. She so badly needed to talk to Kunj.
Manohar picked up the call. It was Jai, Kunj's PA.
Twinkle listened carefully and tensed. All she could hear was Manohar's side of conversation.
Manohar was visibly shocked at one point of time. And she could make out something was not good.
Manohar: what are u saying Jai? How can this happen? This is a huge loss for our company. And where's Kunj ? Connect me to him. I need to talk to him.
Manohar cut the call disappointed and sat down on the sofa.
Bebe asked about the matter. He started speaking.
Manohar: I dont know but due to some reasons, one of our major contract has been lost. It was really important. And the same company influenced other dealers to not invest in our company. And most of the projects Kunj was dealing has been taken back. Oh my god ! How can this happen. Kunj's PA told me all this.
Twinkle was shocked. She instantly knew Kunj needed her the most at this moment.
Bebe: hayye babaji.. Kunj puttar ke saath aisa kyun kiya. Kinna pareshan hoga vo iss waqt.. Aur toh aur twinkle bhi yahan hai. Usse kon sambhalega abh.
Usha: par Jai ne kya btaya ? Yeh sabh kyun hua ?
Manohar: yeh hi toh nahi pata.. Only Kunj knows what happened and Kunj is very angry at this time and he is not ready to talk to anyone.
Bebe: Bas kunj puttar thik ho iss waqt. Manohar tu usse call krke dekh.
Manohar called Kunj and he picked up the 3rd time.
Manohar: kunj ! Kya hua ? How did all this happen?
Twinkle was tensed and closed her eyes. She was sure Kunj is gonna tell them what all happened, how she slapped the lady and her revenge now but to her surprise no one even looked at her or scolded her. Manohar cut the call and told them everything.
Manohar: kunj said he talked rudely to the business associate and it was his fault. Morever the lady asked him for a deal to which he refused. So they have to suffer the loss but Kunj is assuring he wud overcome all the losses. But I could feel he is depressed at the moment.
Twinkle was relieved. She was surprised as Kunj took the whole blame on himself. She knew their relation was fine till now. No matter how much they fight, Kunj would never let her embarrased and never make her head bend down infront of the family. Her thoughts were broken when bebe spoke up.
Bebe: Mujhe lagta hai hame kuch din ke liye Kunj ko yahan bula lena chahiye. Usko is sab tension se break mil jayega. Uska aise waqt pr akela rehna thik nahi hai. Twinkle puttar usse baat kr tu. Teri baat vo sunega aur thoda shaant hoga.
Tw: vo bebe mera fone room mein hai.. Main upar jaakr kunj ko call kr loongi.
Bebe: jaa puttar usse baat krle. Usko acha lagega aur support milegi.
Twinkle sadly nodded and walked to her room.
Bebe had noticed the sadness on her face from the time she had arrived and instantly knew that things between the couple were not right. But she wanted Twinkle to herself solve the matter. Or approach for help herself without any forcing.
Twinkle locked the door behind her and was roaming in the room tensed.
Twinkle was talking to herself: I have to talk to him. He needs me now. Twinkle leave ur childishness now. Par main baat kaise karoon. Maine hi toh divorce ki baat start kri thi.. Ohh god.. How will I talk to him. No !! Whatever happened, now is not the time to regret. I am going to call him.
Twinkle dialed his no. The first two times he ignored the call and the next time he picked up. He was sitting at home drinking. He was very depressed and frustated.
Tw: hello.. Kunj !
Kunj just listened to her voice and did not reply.
Tw: kunj I know u are listening. Plzz kuch toh bolo.
Ku: Kuch choda hi kahan hai tumne bolne ke liye. Plzz leave me alone.
Tw: Kunj are u drunk ?
Ku: yes I am. When I needed u the most, u left me and this was the best way to lessen my pain.
Tw: kunj aisa mat kaho plzz.. I.. I want.. Want to talk to u.
Ku: I dont want any sympathy from u.. Saara din toh tum aaram se Mahi and Inaya ke saath shopping kr rhi thi aur abh dont sympathise with me.
Tw: kunj nahi.. Plzz I love u.. Aisa mat bolo.. She was sobbing now..
Tw: kunj plzzz Amritsar aa jao.. Please !
Ku: nahi.. I have to save the left contracts.. I cannot come. Leave me alone for sometime. I am not in a mood to fight with u again.
And he cut the call. Twinkle sat down against the bed support and cried the whole night.
Tw: I think I need to talk to bebe about this.. Kunj is so much depressed.. Plzzz babaji help me.. Maine yeh kya kar diya.. I will talk to maa and bebe first in the morning. Vo hi Kunj ko samjhayeinge.. Kunj is not listening to me.
Kunj too cried whole night.. The separation from Twinkle and the business losses were making him more sad and depressed.
He shouted and screamed to vent out his pain.

Next morning---
Twinkle woke up.. Her eyes were very heavy from crying all night and her body was aching.
She quickly had a hot water bath to calm herself down, got ready and straight away went to bebe's room. She called up Leela and told her to come in bebe's room without disturbing or telling anybody about it. Leela was getting restless. She too could feel something was not right.
Twinkle knocked on bebe's door.
Tw: bebe plzz kya main andar aa skti hoon ?
Bebe: puttar isme puchna kaisa.. Aaja mere paas.
Twinkle went and sat opposite to her on bed.
Meanwhile Leela also rushed in the room and Twinkle got up and locked the door. She settled herself down infront of the ladies.
Tw: bebe maa.. Mujhe aap dono ko kuch batana hai.. Plzz mujhe aapki help chahiye.
Leela: Twinkle sabh thik toh hai na.. Tu aisi baatein krke dara rhi hai..
Twinkle started speaking evrything. She told the ladies everything that happened in the office.. Their fight. Everything !
By the end she was sobbing and crying.
Leela was a bit angry on her childish behaviour.
Leela: Haye babaji.. Kab yeh ladki apna bachpana chodegi.. Twinkle tune Kunj puttar ko kitna hurt kiya hai.. Tujhe koi idea bhi hai.. Aur tune aise kaise sidha divorce ki baat krdi.. Tu pagal ho gyi hai kya ?
Twinkle: maa I noe mujhse galti ho gyi..
Bebe: koi nahi leelaji.. Gusse mein insaan kuch bhi bol deta hai.. Mujhe pata hai meri Twinkle bahut bholi hai.. Gusse mein bol diya usne yeh sabh..
Tw: bebe kunj toh merese baat krne ke liye bhi tayaar nahi hai.. Plzz aap usse baat kro na aur usse bol yahan aane ko.. Plzz bebe.
Her head was bent low and she folded her hands infront of bebe and leela..
Bebe: arre nahi puttarji.. Pareshan mat ho.. Hum dono baat krenge na usse.. Tu chinta mat kar.. Main usse aaj hi vaapis bula leti hoon.. Abh khush hai na tu ?
Tw: bebe plzz abhi mere saamne baat kro usse plzz.. Mujhe bahut restlessness ho rhi hai..
Bebe: acha thik hai.. Ruk main usse call krti hoon.
Bebe called Kunj from her phone.
Kunj picked up instantly. He was in office at that time thinking what to do next both in his personal and professional life. Bebe put the call on speaker.
Ku: hello bebe.. Kaise ho aap ?
Bebe: puttar tu bata.. Tu thik hai na ? Tune khana khaya na thik se ?
Ku: Twinkle ko bolo sidha baat krle mujhse.. Saath mein baith kr sun rhi hai na aur aapko ussi ne bola hai na mujhe call krne ke liye. Bahut ache se jaanta hoon main usse.
Twinkle was in tears listening to this.
Bebe: haan puttar.. Vo bahut pareshan hai tere liye.. Plzzz Amritsar aaja.. Apne liye nahi toh kam se kam apne pyaar ki khaatir ! Yaan mere liye.. Plzz puttar.
Aur aakr kl ki pooja bhi kar liyo.. Sabh thik ho jayega.. Sukh shaanti aayegi ghar mein.
Ku: theek hai bebe.. Main shaam tk aa jaonga.. Bye !
Kunj cut the call and Twinkle immediately hugged bebe.
Tw: thank u so much bebe.. Ek baar vo aa jaye.. Main sabh thik kr doongi.. I will apologise.
Leela: twinkle.. Husband wife ke beech fights hoti rehti hain.. Jahan pyaar hota hai vahan ladayi bhi hoti hai.. Pr fir bhi tumhe samajhna chahiye.. Dont stretch ur fight to such an extent ki tum dono mein dooriyan aane lage..
Bebe: haan puttar.. Leelaji bilkul theek keh rhi hain.. Kahin baar kisi ek ko compromise krna chahiye.. Main yeh nahi keh rhi ki hamesha tu hi kre compromise par situation dekh kr one should do it..
Leela: aur tune dekha Kunj abhi bhi tere baare mein kitna sochta hai.. Usne saara blame apne upar le liye taaki tujh par koi finger point na kre.. So stop acting immature Twinkle.. Tum dono samjhdaar ho.. I hope aisa fir kabhi nahi hoga..
Twinkle: yes maa and bebe.. I promise aisa dobara nahi hoga..
She hugged the ladies and whispered a thank u !
Leela: and Twinkle tune toh mere saath business run kiya hai.. U noe it is important to impress the clients aur Kunj ne bhi yahi kiya.. Kitni baar toh tujhe bhi aise hug kiya hai na business associates ne.. Then why did u react that way ?
Twinkle: vo.. Vo maa.. Mujhe gussa aa gya tha jaise vo lady baat kr rhi thi.. Maaf krdo na.. Fir kabhi nahi hoga aisa..
Leela: puttar humse nahi Kunj se maafi maang..
Bebe: Nahi.. Kunj se maafi maangne ki koi zarurat nahi hai.. Uske saath baith kr aaram se baat kr jabh vo aayega.. U both are equally at fault. So u dont have to apologize. Just sort out the matter.
Tw: Ji bebe.. Main gurudwara jaana chahti hoon.. I feel restless at home and I want to pray for our relation to be fine soon.
Bebe: jaa puttar.

Otherside--- Kunj was going back home to leave for Amritsar.. His anger had cooled down a little and he was happy that atleast Twinkle was worried about him. Atleast they had hope in their relationship. Everything was not over yet. It could still be mended. But he needs to talk over her childish and immature behaviour he thought. He packed some stuff and booked his flight.

Twinkle went to her room to get ready when she recieved a call from Jai (Kunj's PA).
Jai: Hello Mam.. Hope I am not disturbing u.. I need to talk urgently about sir.
Tw: Jai is everything okay ? Is kunj fine ?
Jai: mam calm down.. Everything's under control.. Sorry mujhe aapki personal life mein interfere nahi krna chahiye but Sir ..
Tw: but what Jai ? Speak up without hesitation.
Jai: mam sir is really depressed and stressed. From the time all this mess has started he is turning up almost drunk in the morning to office.. He is always shouting and scolding employees and the atmosphere of office is not keeping well.. Now also he went away hurriedly. Mam plzz look into the matter.
Twinkle was shocked and tears started flowing from her eyes.
But she composed herself.
Twinkle sighed and spoke: Dont worry Jai.. He went away hurriedly to come back to Amritsar.. We have talked to him and everything will be ok.. U plzz handle office in his absence.
Twinkle cut the call and sat down on the bed. She was crying. Inaya had heard all this and seen her crying. She walked in the room and sat beside Twinkle.
In: Bhabhi is everything okay ? Y are u crying ?
Now this was enough for Twinkle. She pulled in Inaya for hug and started crying. She could not control herself further.
Tw: sabh meri vajah se ho rha hai Inaya.. Kunj thik kehta hai main hoon hi siyappa queen.
Inaya rubbed her back to calm her down..
In: bas bhabhi.. Calm down.. Tell me kya hua ?
Twinkle told her everything. She could easily trust Inaya.
In: bhabhi aap itna pareshan thi aur aapne yeh baat merese share bhi nahi ki.. Main abhi baat krti hoon bhai se.. Abh plzz sambhalo khud ko..
Tw: No Inaya.. Dont talk to him.. We dont want the family to involve in this. I will sort it out myself. Tum bas mere saath dete rehna..
In: hamesha bhabhi.. U can freely tell me wen u need any help.
Tw: wud u like to come to Gurudwara with me ?
In: yes bhabhi.. Lets go ! Now plzz stop crying ! Bhai aa rhe hain na shaam ko.. Sabh thik ho jaayega.. Vo aapse kabhi naraaz nahi reh Skte.
And they went to gurudwara !
