Chapter 18
At night -
The taneja's and Karan had arrived for Dinner.
They all sat at their respective places as Twinkle and Mahi began serving food to everyone
Manvi - "So Mr.Karan,do you have a girlfriend?"
As Manvi asked this question,Mahi dropped the spoon she was holding.She looked at Karan with Hopeful and curious eyes which again went noticed by Kunj.
Karan - "Nahi Nahi,I don't have a girlfriend."
Twinkle and Mahi finished serving food to everyone and took their seats
Mahi sat opposite Karan while Twinkle took her seat next to Kunj.
Manohar - "So Karan,tum Kya kaam karte ho?"
Karan - "Ji uncle woh mein London mein Dad Ka business sambhalta Hun."
Usha - "Oh toh tum London mein rehte ho?"
Karan - "Ji Aunty"
Manvi - "Oh wow Mr.karan! Pata hai Mahi di bhi pehle London mein hi rehti thi"
Karan looked up to Mahi and their eyes Met. They got lost in each other's eyes.
At that moment,Kunj signaled Leela who looked at the new couple sharing a moment together.
Leela then giggled and winked at Kunj who returned back the gesture
Twinkle who witnessed this gesture between the two was confused
"What's cooking between these two",thought twinkle.
Soon everybody finished their food and excused themselves with only twinkle,Kunj,Mahi and Karan remaining at the table.
Twinkle bend over towards Kunj and whispered in his ear
Twinkle - "Kunj tumhare aur maa ke beech mein Kya Khichdi paak rahi hai?"
Kunj whispering back - "Khichdi? Kasi Khichdi twinkle? Dinner mein toh aaj aloo ki sabzi thi na?"
Twinkle - "Dekho Kunj ghande jokes marna band Karo aur sach sach Batao,yeh Kya chal raha hai?"
Kunj - "Haw twinkle tu mujhpe shak kar rahi hai?Yeh sunne se pehle dharti kyun Nahi phat gayi aur mein usme sama kyun Nahi Gaya."
Twinkle - "Kunj,nautanki karna band Karo aur..."
Before Twinkle could continue Karan intervened
Karan - "Arre Kunj chal na Zara bahar walk karke aate hai"
Kunj - "Haan bhai chal na.Twinkle mein bas thodi der mein aata Hun."
Before twinkle could say anything,he ran out taking Karan along
Twinkle in her mind,
"Isse toh mein baadme Dekh lungi"

Bebe's room
Bebe - "Leelaji mere maan mein na ek khayal aaya hai"
Leela - "Kaisa khayal Bebe?"
Bebe - "Mein soch rahi thi ki Mahi ke liye Karan kaisa hai? Dekhiye mere kehne Ka matlab yeh hai ki Mahi ne Bohot dard saha hai aur waqt aagaya hai ki woh bhi Apni zindagni mein aage bade.Kab tak akeli rahegi woh.Ab toh yuvi bhi jaa chuka hai"
Leela - "Bebe saach kahu toh mein bhi yahi soch rahi thi. Aaj Karan aur Mahi ko ek saath Dekh kar Bohot Accha laga. Lekin mere maan mein ek dar aur sawaal hai,Kya Mahi ready hai?"
Bebe - "kyun na hum Kunj aur twinkle se kahe Mahi se baat karne ke liye?"
Leela - "Haan yeh theekh rahega"
Manvi - "Wow yani ki Mahi di and Mr.Karan aww how cute.Matlab Mahi di ki shaadi hogi yayyy"
With that Leela and Bebe laughed at Manvi's words

Kunj and Karan were strolling outside.
Karan in his mind "yaar Kunj se kaise iss bare mein baat karu"
Kunj knew what Karan wanted to talk about so he just waited for him to get comfortable enough and start talking
Karan - "So!"
Kunj - "So?"
Karan - "Kya chal raha hai yaar?"
Karan gave Kunj a cheeky smile while Kunj raised his ever so famous eye brow up.
Kunj - "Bas Sab theekh. Tu bata.."
Karan was getting frustrated,he needed to speak to Kunj fast
Karan stopped in his tracks making Kunj stop too
Karan - "Dekh mein jaanta Hun Jo mein kehne Wala Hun uske bad tu mujhe Bohot marega Lekin Dekh pls meri puri baat sun aur Haan pls face pe maat Mara.Okay?"
Kunj nodded.
Karan - "Haan so mein na Teri saali ko Bohot Pasand karta Hun. Jab se usse Dekha hai ussi ke bare mein soch raha Hun. Humesha chahata tha ki Mahi jaisi koi meri zindagi mein aai"
Karan closed his eyes waiting for Kunj's punch
But to his surprise,he never got the punch.He saw Kunj standing there looking straight at him with a genuine smile on his face.
Kunj - "Mein jaanta Hun."
Karan - "Tu jaanta hai? Lekin kaise?"
Kunj - "Saale tu mera best friend Hain. Lekin isse pehle tu kuch aur kahe mein kuch kehna chahata Hun. Dhyaan se sun."
With that Kunj narrated everything to Karan about Mahi's past,about yuvi,about how she was pushed off the cliff by him,how she survived,everything in detail.
At the end of his narration,he saw Karan standing at a corner frozen with a Tear stained face.
Kunj - "Karan,Mahi ne Bohot kuch sehan kiya hai yaar Apne past mein.Main ab bas sirf yeh chahata Hun ki woh Khush rahe"
Karan - "Mahi.Usne Bohot dard Saha hai na. Mein uss yuvi ko chodunga Nahi."
Karan looked at Kunj with teary eyes
Karan - "Kunj,mujhe saach mein Nahi pata tha ki Mahi ne itna kuch Saha hai. Lekin ab bas. Mein wada karta Hun ki mein uske zindagi mein khushiyaan bhar dunga. Uske past ko uske present pe affect karne Nahi dunga. I love her Kunj and I'll always be by her side."
Kunj listening to him just hugged him tight.
Kunj - "Jaanta Hun bhai jaanta Hun"
Kunj in his mind - "chalo ab yeh toh pata chal Gaya ki Karan Mahi se pyar karta hai Lekin asli challenge toh ab hai,siyaapaa queen se baat karne Ka."

Twinj room
Twinkle was pacing here and there nervously while bitting her finger nails.
Twinkle while looking up,
"Haye babaji,Kahan phasa diya aapne. Pata hai mujhe kitni tension ho rahi hai."
Twinkle then recalled how she was late for her monthly cycle,how she had puked once she came back up from dinner and how she was waiting for the result of the pregnancy test she had taken for the third time.
Twinkle was nervous,very nervous. She couldn't remember when was the last time she was that nervous. She wanted to have a baby but...
Before she could think further,her eyes fell on the clock.
Twinkle - "15 min ho Gaye hai,abhi tak results nikal Gaye honge"
Twinkle quickly went to the washroom to check.
She closed her eyes while taking the strip in her hand.
Twinkle - "Take a deep breath Twinkle. Open your eyes at the count of 3 okay? 1...2...3"
Twinkle opened her eyes and she read,
POSITIVE
This word flashed in her eyes again and again. This one word that was pleasantly going to change their lives.
Twinkle had started crying by now. She was so happy. Never had she imagined that she will be able to see so much happiness. First she got her Kunj back,her family was back together again and now the baby,life couldn't have gotten any better.
Twinkle while placing her hand on her stomach,
Twinkle - "Mera baby,Kunj Ka baby,humara baby"
Tears couldn't stop crying.
She quickly composed herself when she heard Kunj call out to her outside
She ran outside but to her surprise she saw both Kunj and Leela standing there.
Twinkle - "Maa,Kunj aap Dono yahan?"
Leela - "Haan putar Mujhe tujhse Bohot important baat karni hai."
Kunj - "Haan maa mujhe bhi aap logon se ek important baat karni hai"
Twinkle - "Mujhe bhi"
All three of them looked at each other in surprise.
Twinkle - "Pehle mein bolti Hun"
Kunj - "Nahi pehle mein"
Twinkle - "Kunj samjho na meri baat Bohot important hai"
Kunj - "Twinkle im sure meri baat se zyada Nahi hogi"
Twinkle - "Pls Kunj suno na"
Leela - "Arre bhai tum Dono chup Karo aur meri baat suno"
Twinkle - "Nahi maa meri"
And they stared arguing. Can something ever happen normally with them?
Finally with the level of frustration increasing,Kunj and Leela screamed together
Leela and Kunj - "KARAN AUR MAHI"
both Leela and Kunj looked at each other with surprise while twinkle stood there shocked.
Twinkle - "Karan aur Mahi?"
Leela - "Haan putar mein chahati thi ki kyun na hum Mahi aur Karan ki shaadi karwade"
Kunj - "Maa mein bhi yahi baat karna chahata tha. Karan bhi Mahi se Bohot pyar karta hai aur usse shaadi karna chahta hai"
Twinkle was Angry
Twinkle - "Aap Dono Ka Dimag kharab ho Gaya hai Kya? Kaisi baate kar rahe hai."
Kunj - "Twinkle meri baat toh..."
Twinkle - "Nahi Kunj,tum Aisa soch bhi kaise sakte ho"
Kunj - "Twinkle Mahi meri bhi saali hai,aur mein jaanta Hun ki uske liye Kya saahi hai aur Kya Nahi"
Kunj was hurt,didn't twinkle trust him?
Twinkle - "Kunj tum jaante ho ki Yuvi ne Mahi ke saath.."
Kunj - "Kab tak woh aapne past me rahegi twinkle.Kabhi na kabhi usse aage Badna Hoga"
Twinkle - "Lekin Kunj"
Twinkle turned around and stopped when she saw Mahi standing at the door
Leela and Kunj looked at the door to see what caught Twinkle's attention and were shocked
Mahi slowly entered.
Mahi - "Maa,Di jiju?"
Twinkle - "Mahi woh"
"Ek second"
They turned to see who it was when they saw Karan standing at the door.
Karan slowly came and stood in front of Mahi.
Mahi had started crying listening to Kunj and Twinkle's talks
Giving a look at all three of them,Karan bend down in front of Mahi,taking her hand in his
Karan - "Mahi mein jaanta Hun ki tumhare saath past mein Kya Kya hua hai. Mein jaanta Hun ki tumhe kitna dard sehna pada hai.Lekin you know what? I really don't care. Mujhe tumhare past se koi pharak Nahi padta hai Mahi. I love you. I wanna marry you Mahi. Dekho mein jaanta Hun ki tumhare past ki wajah se tum Bohot Dariwi ho Lekin mein aaj tumse ek wada karta Hun. Mahi mein tumhare liye chand taare toh Nahi la Sakta Lekin tumhare liye woh Sab karunga jisse tumhe khushi Mille. Mein kabhi tumhari aankhon mein aasu Nahi aane dunga. Kabhi bhi tumhe pareshaan Nahi karunga. Sirf tumse pyar karunga,humesha and forever. Tum humesha meri first priority rahogi I promise. Tumhe shikayat Ka ek bhi mauka Nahi dunga. Aur baat rahi ke dusre ke baare mein jaan ne aur pehchaane ki woh toh hum puri zindagi karte rahenge"
Mahi had started crying harder now with his talks. Leela and twinkle had started crying too while Kunj stood there in awe
"Will you marry me Mahi?" Asked Karan wth hopeful eyes
"Y..es",Mahi managed to say while crying
Karan happily stood up and hugged Mahi who hugged him back in return.
Wiping the tears of her face,Leela came forward and hugged Karan And Mahi
Seeing them,twinkle came and stood beside Kunj.She slowly entwined her fingers with Kunj while Kunj looked at her. They both shared a smile,a content smile.
