Its not about to be or not to be raina its about ur conscience. Believe me cherry would get his punishment one day. They say na "as u sow so shall u reap". A person can live a happy life if he is guilt free. Idk if cherry😡 is made of stone or what he doesn't realise his mistake. May be one day he will.

Burden of guilt is indeed a heavy one! But what about the fear of being humiliated and abandoned for something you're not anymore? What if you know your mistake isn't worthy of forgiveness- and when it comes out, your relationship with the person will be ruined forever. Should you then be the one to confess? (This again is assuming that the only harm your action caused was your guilt and nothing else)

I hear you though, confronting issues head on only leads to solutions not problems, at least in the longterm! and as for the show, Twinkle will definitely forgive Cherry. If the girl can forgive Yuvraj, she can forgive anyone.

...and Bruh that was deep 😆

But would I be able to live with the fear all my life of someone maybe finding out somehow one day? Living your life in fear is not living a life at all. So just to get myself out of that hell of thoughts, I would confess. It kind of depends on the severity of the intended action. There have been times when people have told me that I came across as a stuck up b*tch when they first met me. Sure it didn't effect me because I didn't know, but that's an image that they would've probably shared with other people. Mind you, they only confessed 'first impressions' once we hit it off and found a comfort zone so naturally I just laughed it off because they no longer think of me like that. It would have been AWKWARD if some next girl tried to stir up the friendship and I found out from other people. This is quite a minor example but you get the just. So I say its better to put it out there yourself than for them to find out from someone else. I dont think it would get to the stage of humiliation if the confrontation occurs between the two people involved unless the latter wants to be petty and make a public debacle about it but then again, I remove people who cause drama from my life anyway 😆

I genuinely dont believe in the word 'forever.' I think people grow up and learn different lessons of life in different ways. Years down the line, you think back on your actions and wonder why you were so stupid or if you overreacted. So back to TEI now, yes the initial backlash will cause rifts but down the time line, you'll get the whole mistakes forgiven and flaws accepted sort of reunion.

I love you for this post. It's so thought provoking. 😆

Holy moly, that was deep. It truly got me thinking what I would do if I was in some sort of situation to which this applies. The easy answer is, your relationship with them is going well so why ruin it? BUT that's not the correct answer. If you hurt someone and they don't even KNOW about it, that's horrible. That person has every right to know because even if you weren't successful, you had bad intentions. It's the person who was harmed then, that gets to make a choice about where the relationship you share heads. It's absolutely unfair for Twinkle to be unaware of what took place, especially since Kunj didn't even believe her then! It's not something that can get shoved under the rug, you must confess.

Thank you for getting the wheels in my head churning 😆

AWH, thank YOU Teddy, for writing such a thought provoking OS! The issue with Twinkle and Cherry is so sensitive that I didn't even want to include it in the post, stuff like that should not be mishandled. That said, I agree. If you're in a situation where a person was harmed, even if not physically, just mentally and they don't even know that you're the offender- you should definitely confess! No qualms about that. In Twinkle and Cherry's case-Twinkle was mentally disturbed by what Cherry did so she deserves an apology.

What about in a situation that involved no harm only ill-intentions?

You guys are quit deep today, I got all excited seeing Bae's Rainy post and then bae got into all these dark corridors that I don't even think Cherry even thinks about.
Then I read Nemo's post saw the word stimulating and was like yeah☺️ read over and realized I mis read it was in fact mentally stimulating.😆
Great post Raina although I don't think that we have folks who are honest enough to admit they are wrong or made a mistake, in fact I have dealt with people who always look for an excuse or blame others for their wrongdoings.
I think people needs to be honest with themselves first before we can be honest with others and how many of us are truly honest to ourselves.

I love you for this post. It's so thought provoking. 😆

I was running a thought experiment out loud and it worked I guess 😆

I think a major theme I see in the responses is it's better to come clean yourself and tell the person about it yourself then the said person finding out about your actions from someone else. Which I agree with 100% but let's take it a step further, shall we?
What if NO ONE knows! There's no way the person will find out other then if they find it out from YOU. Would you still do it? Or would you tell yourself "I am a better person now" and avoid the humiliation?

ALLAH KNOWS BRO. I couldn't live with that on my conscience. I know bringing religion into this makes it a little more messy but I dont want that held against me on judgement day so I'd come clean.

LOLL..Yes Karen, we used the word deep for it's actual meaning today! 🤣 no gutter. and Werd, had Cherry thought about this, we wouldn't be having this discussion in his stead! The cvs so conveniently brushed over this topic, it's an interesting debate nonetheless!

"people needs to be honest with themselves first before we can be honest with others" 👏 I agree!

I'm glad you brought religion into this because now I am thinking about the saying (I don't recall who said it, it was one of the Caliphs if I recall correctly) That Allah will keep your cover until you don't cross the line. Would you just try to make peace with yourself that your deed isn't out yet cause Allah is keeping your cover.
Wow..this just took another turn 😆
