Part Five

He didn't remember how he got to Delhi, in fact he didn't remember his wedding either, but he knew Twinkle was his wife. He couldn't let her remarry to someone else if he was alive and well. Ok yes he wasn't hundred well. He didn't have any memories of their life together but he felt an emotional tug towards her.

She was his and he was hers.

Meanwhile in Amritsar..

The girls arrived back to their homes and wedding preparations began immediately in full swing.

Twinkle wondered if Krish would get his memory back. Would he return home to her?

In a trance, she carried the tray of haldi for the ceremony the morning before the wedding.

She had to climb the stairs to reach the room for where they ceremony was being held. Suddenly she lost her balance and almost fell backwards but strong arms caught her by the waist.

Kunj had arrived at the hotel where the wedding was to be held the next day. He saw Twinkle heading up the stairs with a tray. He rushed to catch up to her. Suddenly she tripped and he reached forward to catch her.

He felt the haldi land on his face.

Twinkle tried to balance the remaining haldi. The tray dropped and suddenly she fell forward knocking Kunj down with her.

"Arre phirse se siyappa !," he yelled at her.

The ladies upstairs heard the commotion and arrived to see what the matter was.

They were stunned to see Kunj covered in haldi and Twinkle on top of him at the bottom of the stairs.

" Kunj tum vapas agaye!," Twinkle squealed.

Leela, Bubbly and Chinki rushed over to them.

" Babaji ki kripa hai hum par. Mera damad vapas agaya!," Leela exclaimed.

" Kunj tumhe sab yaad agaya?," Twinkle asked as they got up.

" Nahin lekin mujhe pata hai ki tu meri patni hai. Phir yeh shaadi kyun kari ho?," he inquired.

" Kunj yeh meri shaadi thori na hai," his wife replied.

"Phir kiski?"

"Meri hai Jiju," Chinki quipped.

"Kunj tuhme lagta hai ki tum se zyada acha jeevan sathi , Twinkle ko mil sakta hai? These past three months all she is done is pine for your return. Jeena bol he gayi meri baachi," Leela declared.

Kunj looked solemnly at Twinkle. They must have looked a mess right now but he could see the look in her eyes. She had been through a lot these past few months.

" Twinkle toh yeh teri shaadi nahin hai," he said inching closer to her.

" I have missed you a lot Kunj," she whispered.

Suddenly, Kunj held his head in hands and the world felt like it was spinning.

The last thing he recalled before he went blank is Twinkle's screaming his name.

A few hours later,

Bebe had arrived to wait for Kunj to wake up. The doctor said there was no gurantee Kunj would recall everything.

" Lekin mera Kunj laut aya hai. This is what matters most," Bebe declared as she hugged Twinkle.

Twinkle smiled slightly but she was concerned as to why he had fainted.

Finally Kunj regained consciousness as Bebe caressed his head.

He smiled slightly at Bebe. Then realization dawned on him.

" Bebe , Twinkle kahan hai? Who Yuvraj ne muhje marne ki koshish ki phir Twinkle toh theek hai hai na? Main yahaan kaise?," he exclaimed.

" Relax Kunj. Uss baat ko teen mahine ko chuke hain," Bebe said calmly.

Twinkle arrived in the room and Kunj rushed over to her and took the tray from her.

" Tu theek haina? I was so worried you were unconscious and then Yuvraj tried to drown me again," Kunj stated.

Twinkle's eyes filled with tears and she hugged him close.

He wrapped his arms around her petite figure.

Finally Twinkle felt like she was home. Bebe looked on with glee.

"Phirse koi nazar na lage mere bachein par!"

Kunj met the rest of his family at Chinki's wedding the next day. He pledged he would not return to live with them unless Twinkle was accepted honorably as their bahu again.

Usha begrundingly agreed.

After the reception, Twinkle would have her ghar parvesh back into Sarna Manison.

Twinkle and Kunj stood together throwing flowers at Chinki and Aditya as they made their seven rounds around the scared fire. Twinkle recalled how drama filled her own wedding was but was glad Kunj was back and standing besides her today.

Kunj was elated that he was back where he belonged.

There was something he wished he told Twinkle months ago. Tonight he would tell her and show her how much he loved her.

He was back and he wasn't going to let her go ever again.

It was just awesome.
