Round: Mix and Match / Group Round
PD's anchoring is way better this week. Her and Deepak looked so nice in black and grey and together they both did a wonderful job.
Both Radhika and Gautami looked gorgeous in their outfits. Along with them all the participants had very good costumes today.
Today is a must watch round!! Most of the dances were great. Everyone is doing great. The only thing that I didn't really like was the endings of some of the dances. When ending a performance there should be a pose and energy. Some of the dances never builded up towards the end giving it a flat ending.
I like these judges. They are doing a great job. Their comments are good and they help the participants.
Dances:
1) North Indian Folk -> DD/Sunita/Priya
- beautiful but ending could have been better
- Priya is loosing control of her dance at times
- Sunita has great energy but her position was a little bit off
- DD has cute expressions and good control
2) Hip Hop -> Divya/Wong/Prem/Karthick
- nice idea
- Karthick was a surprise today
- Divya was off at times
- choreo could have been a bit better
- Wong and Prem were very good
3) Filmy Folk -> Luxmi/Priya/Sai/Arun/Wong
- Wong was nice to watch
- Lumxi had controlled expressions
- Arun needs to improve his steps
- Priya and Sai were good
- I liked it when they all danced together
4) Broadway (Jazz) -> Rajini/Geethan/Sherrif/Arun
- Rajini was awesome
- Arun needs to avoid slouching and dance taller
- Sherrif has great expressions
- Geethan is so cute to watch
5) Filmy Western -> Sherrif/Rajini/Sunita
- nice smile from Sunita
- Rajini was off since she looked lost
- Sherrif did good
- choreo could have been better though
6) Duets -> Priya/Karthick and DD/Geethan
- DD and Geethan were so cute together
- they both gave wonderful expressions and good sync
- Karthick is taller than Arun therefore this pairing looked better
- Priya had good energy
- Priya moves her upper body too much, this causes her to block Karthick and make her look bigger
- at some parts the sync was off
- the ending to the dance could have been better with a pose
7) Classical -> Suresh/Premini/Divya
- Suresh was expressionless
- Divya did not suit the look or the dance
- Premini tried her best and had some nice moments
- the dance was boring to watch
8) Contemporary -> Sai/Suresh/Prem/Mani
- Prem is a hard worker and a unique dancer
- Sai had good expressions and body language
- Mani could have been a bit more light footed since its contemporary
- Suresh was better than before bit still something was missing
- the overall dance with the music was eye grabbing
9) Salsa -> Mani/Premini/Luxmi/Priya
- Mani did a wonderful job with the 3 ladies
- Premini was cute
- Priya covered Mani
- Luxmi had a settled face
- When all of them danced together Priya moved her elbows too much and too high compared to the others
- Luxi's split at the end was unexpected
Top Jodis:
- Sheriff/Sai
- Suresh/Jeyaluxmi (Instead of them Wong and Sunita deserve this place)
Top Females:
- DD & Sai
Top Males:
- Mani & Geethan
Lowest Jodis:
- Priya and Arun & DD and Satish
I loved the atmosphere today. All the jodis were encouraging each other and I saw a strong friendship and positive feel. They also helped with the choreography. It was nice to see Radhika go and visit Satish but now I think the scoring is messed a little and she never saw the other dances.
Since Satish was very sick there were no eliminations. However these scores will carry with them until the end. I hope he gets better soon since DD needs him.
Overall a good week and I love this idea of group round. I hope they do it again to for a non competetive week.
