Talking about the drive, Dilip Joshi says aka Daya, "We went on a cleanliness drive after the day of immersion. The place gets soiled due to left overs as a result of immersion. We also wanted to create awareness for Eco-friendly Ganesha idols. We named the drive as Green Ganesha and had collaborated with a leading publication for it. The response from public around was overwhelming as they too joined us in cleaning the surroundings."
"My advise to people would be that they must use dustbin and throw the waste in it rather than loitering the place. It can save our environment from getting polluted", suggests Joshi.
Land pollution been taken care of but what about noise pollution? "Well, our government has laid down the fabulous rule of no loud noise post 10 in the night and I think cops are taking care of any violation."
Rightly said, charity begins at home.
