Here I am again, with 3rd story based on Swasan, though you can think it as a normal fiction where the protagonists' name are Swara and Sanskar. You're not going to find any other connection or characters from SR. I'd love your feedback about the concept. Is it worth taking the risk?

INTRO:
Set in the rough terrains of Africa, this is a story of the two flyers of Indian Air Force, who were far from their country in war ridden Congo as a part of their mission. They were there to demolish the miscreants and spread a ray of hope among distressed.

Meet Wing Commander Sanskar Shergill and Flight lieutenant Swara Harold Raichand, two alpha personalities. They are headstrong, stubborn and ambitious. They have their ego, insecurities and inner battles to fight with.

This story has merciless rebellion groups, poachers, human traffickers, corrupted lawmen and politicians ...
This story has deep rain forests and barren deserts..
This story has a plane crash and two estranged people who discover themselves on the course of the adventure...

This is a story of falling in love... a love story of two FALLEN PHOENIX...

And the story begins...

PROLOGUE

Tumbled...
Stumbled...
Her feet trembled...
And she crashed... Her face kissed the mother earth, well, the rough and rude avatar of it. Someone jeered, no, actually gloated from behind.

"Huh! That serves you right. Self proclaimed oh-so-mighty supergirl has fallen weak before a man! Admit it, you are nothing but a dainty little flower, Raichand ."

"You know... there's something called dehydration...SIR!" she pronounced the last word as if she were chewing some bitter medicine. " It's a scientific fact that men have 5% more body water than women. I admit, you win, when the matter comes to thirst."

" I always win ... my so called LOSER WIFEY! "

"Hey! That was NOT a marriage, okay? And don't be so happy! I haven't finished yet. We, the girls have more lipid storage than you guys, you know... Be ready to lose miserably in the upcoming hunger games...Mr Wing Commander! LOSER!" She sat on the sand leaning back on one hand, laughing, her other hand guarded her eyes, her skin glazed in the desert sun , where golden rose and milky white shade had melted together...

"Arghh! You and your dorky lectures! I pity your future husband." he sounded irked while he laid his hand before her. "Get up, Raichand. "

" Water! I can see water over there!" Her lips broke into beautiful smile. She got up from the golden bed of sands and sprinted. Her loosely tied bun got undone. Slashes of wind made her long silky tresses fly.

Just like she used to fly her fighter aircrafts.

Her amethyst eyes were shining too brightly , an unusual dark purple shade that set her apart amidst the crowd . At last those eyes found a source of water, that too a huge lake . The water was so clear... so blue... so tempting to resist. And why should she resist? Her throat was drying out of thirst for so long, her lips are no longer supple as they used to be. Desserts might be rewarding experience for the palate, but an African desert was not, at all.

He followed her in a hurry, the girl who had been with her in every earthly realm.

They had walked together, they had drowned together.

They had flown together in the sky, they had fallen hard on the earth.

He was not her knight in shining armour. She was not some fragile princess. She was an avian warrior, just like him.

" Swara! That not a lake, I'm afraid." He despised the almost vacant look in her eyes. " That's mirage, all you're seeing is nothing but a mere optical illusion."

The Hindustan Times, New Delhi

An Il-76 cargo and a Mirage of IAF 2000 crashed in Congo: 1 killed, 2 missing

AFP , Bunia

An IAF Ilyushin Il-76 cargo aircraft and a Dassault Mirage 2000 fighter jet crashed near Congo- Central African Republic border while delivering relief goods for a refugee camp . Flight lieutenant Arvind Rao(25) had died in the spot . There is still no update about Wing Commander Sanskar Shergill(31) and Flight lieutenant Swara Harold Raichand(24), who were flying the aircrafts . They had been deployed to Congo as a part of the UN peacekeeping contingent. Wing Cdr. Shergill displayed stunning performance over last few years as a Garud Commando in Jammu and Kashmir insurgency and various peacekeeping missions. Recently he had been deployed for the second time on United Nations Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo(MONUC), where as Flight Lieutenant Rao and Raichand were also a part of Garud Commando Force lead by Wing Cdr. Shergill.

President has expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and assurance that immediate measures would be taken to find the missing pilots.

Here to be mentioned, MONUC is a United Nations peacekeeping force in the Democratic Republic of Congo, established by UN security council in resolutions 1279 (1999) and 1291 (2000) to monitor the peace progress of Second Congo war. More than thirty nations have contributed military and police personnel for UN peacekeeping effort, with India being the single largest contributor.

Dear Dyuti,

That was simply brilliant - both the title and the start - though I am worried, two Alpha personalities - chance are they will burn each other before they burn for each other. Already a rough start, with crashes and mirages😉
How many more conflicts would they face, both within and without till they find each other? Guess I have to wait for your updates.

love,
Nyna

Dearest Lucky,

This is undoubtedly the most ambitious project I've taken till date... Chances are I'll falter miserably just like the title! 😆 😉 Only thing is there'll be no rising again ... There's no antidote for shitty writing unfortunately. 😕 I'm happy this one caught your attention... And thanks a lot for being the great support as you've always been... I really need all the good wishes now..

Love,
Dyuti

Harshu dear,

It's good to see you again. Hope you're doing well. Thanks a lot for your wonderful response. Don't be so formal, take all your time to read. I know we writers are too caught up with own writing to be a regular reader sometimes. And believe me, me too have a series of res yet to updates. I still have to catch up the last few chapters of Baarish. 😳

Title... Yeah I think it goes well with the plot and characters... and you guys gave thumbs up... So can't be more glad...
Wish you a happy vacation.
Love,
Dyuti
