Call me skeptical, but why I feel Janki is not that great as she portrays herself... I think she played by that rule, "Keep your friends close, but enemies closer." in case of Sharmistha. And had a role in removing her out of her way, yet regained place in Shekhar's life..
I may be wrong, it may be anyone else... Janki can be really sweet... But I'm infamous for shooting wild theories! Ask Saku, she had to bear my brunt in her December project. 😊

You're getting more versatile with each passing days. Each installment of your F series bring different flavours. 😊

Lucky sweetheart 🤗🤗

Wonderful chapter and I am just loving the historical romance / medieval period drama setting of this Fic. So very different from the very contemporary settings in Fanaa, Fitoor and Fida.

Siliguri and Jalpaiguri---loved the way you sketched the background of the two kingdoms, very well researched there. And the rulers/ ruling families of the respective kingdoms too...Really pulled us readers in, enticing us into this tale.

So Shekar and Shomi were in love...and the way Janki reacted had shades of the Draupadi/ Arjuna/ Subadhra traingle of yore...as well as the Kashibai/Bajirao/Mastani triangle of more recent historical times. A very nice touch, with several intriguing possibilities.

Is Janki as accommodating and stateswoman like as she portrays? Did she genuinely come to accept Shomi as junior Queen (not an easy task for any woman, even in those times where polygamy was the norm in royal families rather than the exception...)

Or was she quietly and slyly conniving behind the scenes? Shomi apparently killed by bandits----but her body was mutilated beyond recognition---makes me wonder, if she is still alive? Was that a mere ploy to keep Shomi safe from someone who actually threatened her life?

The conversation between Janki and Swara was overheard by someone who was fuming in rage...wonder who this was. Ragini? Or is there someone else who wishes Swara harm, someone inside the palace?

Durga Prasad, the King of Jalpaiguri has his own wily and cunning designs on Siliguri...😡 So he has been advised to extend a hand of friendship/ alliance in order to take over the kingdom. What a Machiavellian plan! I am sure our heroic Rakshak, Sunny boy, isn't going to let that happen. 😉

So Kunwar Lakshya is being proposed as bridegroom to one of the Siliguri Princesses...sigh...I have a feeling the alliance will be fixed for him with Ragini, but he will then covet Swara. We can always trust Kunwar Lakshya to be like a wind vane, no? Fickle and indecisive to the core! 😆

So next stage is the fair, where Swara is going to go disguised. Sunny is also going with Yudh and I presume, with Kavya and Kavita, who will be making sheep's eyes at him 😡 🤢

I liked the calm way he answered Yudh about his not being in the elast bit interested in Kavita. 😆 Will she be a milder version of Ronnie Dah-ling in this one? You don't know, Lucky, how much I miss my beloved female Komodo Dragon, Yikes, Ronnie has become my most favorite supporting/ antagonist character on the forum. 😆 I just love to hate her...and I think Kavita is going to join her on that pedestal!

Childhood sweetheart tales are so dreamy and romantic---and the fact that Sunny has been so fida on Swara since they were kids...😳

By the way, Lucky, are you trying to get us all admitted for heatstroke? Sunny boy chopping timber, muscles gleaming in the sunbeams filtering through the forest canopy, his arms rippling out of his brown tunic...🤪

Ahem...During the course of his onerous duties, will there be a forest cottage where the Rakshak will have to guard the Princess? You know, just some basic amenities like a pile of hay as a bed, a stream of cool, pristine gushing water to bathe in and stuff like that? The mind boggles at the possibilities!! 😳 ☺️

Can't wait to see what happens in the fair! But before that...when is the next Fanaa update?

Ahem ..I already told you about my cottage plans deep in woods ...that's when this new FF discussion had come remember😉 Oh Yes ..I have so many plans for out Princess and her Rakshak.. many interesting ones😆 and oh yes .. I will be taking all your suggestions and plans into account😉 Keep them coming in

I and Saku were discussion when prologue was posted on all possibilities of sparks when Hot Dashing Sunny boy will teach Swara archery ..You know 😳

And Sunny ...How can I not make him yummy☺️

Now that's out of way...I got a strong vibe of Dark knight but thats probably me. I dont read historicals and hers was the only one I did. Oooh NE, I come from jalpaiguri myself but never knew the story as per wiki. I always thought it was a tree thing 😆 even the elders says the same. I liked the research, you guys are really meticulous writers. Kudos👏 The title made me read, I thought maybe it's like Arrow comic lolz, but it's better. DP is opportunistic bas***d cool, and both K&K are chudail sisters double great. So I am guessing Sanky's parents must have rescued Shomi? But if they did they left the body to rot in jungle so that king's men could find? And awww he remembers Swara, so cute. Maybe cause of DK i cant help but feel Janki arranged the murder by bandits thing. And that shadow outside when janki swara was talking probably Rags. So no Dadi and Uttara? I liked Yudh, I love the name actually. 😆

Update soon! Don't keep us waiting.

I really loved it how u researched and explained about two very beautiful and exotic places of West Bengal - Siliguri and Jalpaiguri, their histories and their ruling dynasties. 😃
Shekhar is the Maharaja of Siliguri, and Janki his Maharani with two princesses, Swara and Ragini. So Sekhar and Shomi loved each other and married each other despite the facts that Swkhar was already married to Janki and Shomi not being from any Royal family. Janki initially sad and reluctant to open up to Shomi, despite being warm to her, but gradually she opened up to Shomi and the two queens bonded very well like sisters by making the Maharaja happy. And then both gave birth to the princesses, Shomi to Swara and Janki to Ragini. 😃 Everything was going smoothly until Shomi was attacked by bandits and killed and her body was beyond recognition and from then Janki took care of Swara like her own daughter, infact more than Ragini, she loved Swara. But what I am thinking is that did Janki really had accepted Shomi from her heart and also is she genuinely concerned about Swara's well being and genuinely loves Swara as her own daughter, or its her faade behind her real face? 😕 And I also think that during Swara-Janki conversation, it was Ragini or someone else from the palace itself who is jealous of Swara and wants to hurt her, was hiding behind the chember! 😕 😡
DP is the Maharaj of Jalpaiguri and AP his Maharani with prince Lakshya. DP is really a very sly person who wants Shekhar's daughter's hand for Laksh so as to get hold of Siliguri under him. What I think will happen that both the kingdom will talk about Ragini and Lakshya's alliance and Laksh being Laksh, will fall for Swara, which will not go well with Ragini and try to harm her and at that time, she will be saved by our hero Sanskar. 😉 And I also think that its Shomi who made Sanskar Swara's 'Rakshak'.
Sanskar's friends Yug and Kavya (is she a boy or girl?? 😕 😆) r talking to him about him falling in love which is impossible and also about Kayva's sis Kavita being in love with him. 😕 But then Sanskar remembers his childhood crush on princess Swara and they tease him about it. 😳
Again my stupid assumptions! 😆 Better I will wait for u to update the chapter. So update soon. 😉 Thanks for the pm. 😃
