Hi Dyuti ,
I'm awfully sorry I couldn't reply to the previous comment. I wasn't avoiding you or something, I haven't got around replying to any of the recent comments other than the latest on 19 part II.
Sorry again if it made you feel bad. 😊
I'll try to update frequently these days. But delaying isn't intentional. I'm a university student with one or other exam always round the corner messing my schedule. I hope you can understand 😳
About calling me a great mind; gee! Thanks girl!*high five*

Saku my Dear 🤗🤗

Hi Viji dearest ,

First off, kudos for the sheer imaginative power, in fleshing out so many details of the world you have conceived for this Tale. The intricate way in which you have conceptualized the social strata of the Naga Elves for instance---karmakas, nandakas, jeevakas, gyanakas and mokshakas. Even the names chosen with such care, such symblosim attached. 👏 👏 You know how much I love symbolisms, allegories, parallels and metaphors----and this is something I adore in your writing. 😊
When I started upon this particular storyline, I had a faint idea on what each elven community would be like. While I wrote, also from the inspirations and encouragement you dears poured in everything solidified.

I like my fair share of symbolism in my works too. It was one of the things you and I bonded over in the initial IK/SQ days. I gladdens me very much when you say you find it lovely sis ❤️
So Yuvraj Sanskaar inherits his eyes---which change from hazel brown to a clear mountain-lake green, from his mother Aruna? Or should we call them viridian green? 😉 She seems to be a lady of very cogent and powerfully deep thought, I loved the way you made her reflect that perhaps, it might have been better to be totally wingless than to have been born with one's wings clipped. The there is the constant, chafing reminder that one has the potential to reach for more, to soar to heights uncharted and unexplored----but held back by chains which inextricably keep her bound. 😕 Not a pleasant feeling, and especially not when the intellect is powerful and profound, as I think would be in her case.
It is what I wanted to potray in Aruna. That's the eternal disadvantage of the cast system. People who deserve more gets trapped in less groundings, winged but in cages unfitted for them. Ah. ..Some philosophy amidst the fantasy.
So this is the background of the Lady Aruna----initially supposed to marry the Elder Prince of the Vajras, Ram's older brother. (You haven't disclosed his name yet, but I presume its Durga ? 😉) But the Prince revealed himself to be a rather cold, vile man; drunk on power and the exercise of it by crushing those less powerful than themselves. Courageous of Aruna to break off the intended match, preferring to enter the ranks of Priestesses instead, rather than tie herself to such a man.
He is not Durga. Even to my over imaginative mind what I have in store for the first prince seemed too much for the kind old fellow. But yes, I did not forsake the fact that Ram was the younger brother. He is a vile man no doubt, too drunk in the taste of power. And Aruna is his total opposite, and she does have that strength to stand upright too.
I loved the way you described the friendship between Arya, Mohan and Ram. Wonder how Rishi Agarwal enters the picture later to capture Arya's affections? But in the meantime, we get to see Pratula's intense wariness and jealousy about his sister; and Ram's own conscientious dismay and dislike of his elder brother's ill considered and cruel actions.
Arya and Ram went through similar tides. That might be the reason why they understood each other so well...remember when he was letting her escape the unwanted marriage to him? Their friendship is one of the keystones of the back story and as for Rishi Agrawal it was a witty game played against the naive girl.
The first meeting between Ram and Aruna was very nice indeed. 😉 Eyes of blue meeting lake green huh? 😳 Yuvraaj Sanskaar has some really wonderful genes in his DNA.
He is my hero, had to give him good parents 😉😆
Who was that girl who was accused of the crime, her family labeled as traitors? For a moment I thought it was Parineeta---but then I realized that her generation came much later, isn't it? That was when her elder sister made the attack on Sanskaar, years later. So who is this little girl, covered with tattoos? Have I missed something, or is it that this revelation is yet to come? Is this girl (I presume from the Bhavas), somehow linked to Suvanna in the future?
She's Sujata as you will see in chapter 19 also known as Kalindi.
So Ram's elder brother unleashed a battle against the Bhavas, leading to the new character you introduced here--Megha, and his cohorts, being quite hostile towards the Vajras. But still, Megha is a kindly man beneath those layers of pretended rough disdain, and I guess the way Swara appealed to him for help; trusting and guileless, reached out to his essential kindliness. Wonder who Kalindi is? And is Megha the same 'nomad of the Bhavas' whom Suvanna remembers looking at her with curiosity and perhaps a lot of wariness, in her tortuous 'initiation rites' by the Noir witches? So many possibilities, so many connections. 😊
Some people has that gift of appealing to the good side of most unseemly people. Swara does exactly that. And true. Beneath the rough layers Megha has his heart in the right place.
I liked the way Megha immediately registered the connection between the Prince and the Eye. 😉 "You are HIS woman" he says, with such calm certainty. 😆 Wish Swara would realize that soon, and Sanskaar too----though I guess they already realize that subconsciously. 😳 I am loving this bond between the Eye and the Oneiro. The one who can see all, sense all; with the one who can weave a spell of illusion, absorb the other's thoughts and emotions and pour his own into hers, in turn. Golden threads of magic, illusion and charms. 😉
That is what I planned in their dynamics she sees the realities he spins the illusions, she sees the action he sees the motive. Agreeing with Megha they have to belong to each other.
So Lakshya has broken out of the spell which Suvanna had cast on him? That look of cold greeting and icy disdain between Suvanna (in Ragini's body) and the reawakened Lucky, was so chilling. But I wonder if he is completely out of her spells as yet? He seems to be fighting against her, surely. But he seems rather colder and more machiavellian, more intent on betrayal, than the erstwhile skipping lamb, carefree and somewhat juvenile Lucky had been. Is this metamorphosis Suvanna's doing? Or has the venomous advice and influence of Annapurna and Aryaman finally borne fruit? This version of Lucky would have no qualms in betraying his Bhai, I fear...
Lakshya wasn't bespelled per say, he and Suvanna has an agreement going on. But yes, he is not quite the wooly lamb in reality right? I have plans for him, both good and bad. After all with people like Annapurna and Suvanna in his life what else but trouble one can promise a guy?
Waiting eagerly for Chap 19. 😊 This weekend, perhaps?

Loads of Love,

----Viji

I hope you enjoyed chapter 19 as well sis. Can't thank you enough for this wonderful insight and the pouring love. You made my day many times over and sweetened many weeks to come.

I am finally here for Chapte 17B Blue and Black - can you imagine how irrestible the title itself is, to a self confessed chromatic obsessed person like me? The title itself conjures images of darkness and light, hope and despair and of love and loss.

Blue - eyed Suvanna- she is the one who always manages the evoke the maximum of my admiration and makes me breathless as each layer of her complex self is revealed. (similar to the potential Ragini in the serial). The same Suvanna who more or less absorbs Ragini (or the other way round) never hesitated to save a innocent child, but she does not hesitate to prove how "loyal" the Vajra warrior would be to her, that he would price her wish over the bonds of blood, yet is desperate to prove her own blood bond. In the end, she is a daughter, thwarted by the only person whose love she ever wanted (a malignant twist on the ardent desire to be loved as a daughter, and it is she, right, in the prologue who realises that "he" was never hers to love? And is the prologue the challenges in the emulations?)

Black - Sanskaar bleeding to a possible death - in the dead dark lands of his nightmanres (I have to read it all over again as to why Asanikeshtra is now a dying land), Swara realising that her concern could be only account of spell that Sanskaar wove around her and her anger blinding her to logic even as her heart started questioning as to whom she should actually trust.

Blue - the light of the azure skies as Swara looks in the depths of Sanskaar's eyes and remembers all her dreams, though she much be now wondering if those were dreams or actually a pale vision of a possible future?

Black - the depth of deception and deceit of the veiled woman (Annapurna is the best bet, but in your hands it could be anyone else)

I really cannot find words to write more, am off to re read Chapter 18 and will be back.

love,
Nyna

Hi again Nyna,

I wanted titles that sums up the chapter but doesn't give away too much if you know what I mean? Curiously the colours seemed fitting here, after all the storyline has much chromatic detailing...the eyes, the royal colours etc.

Yeah, we on the same page for Suvanna, apart from Sanskar she is the most worked on entity in the Vajra lands. And the potential Ragini. I wanted to explore this gray areas for her, without completely blacking her out. Hope it comes through.

I did draft out Asanikshestra much earlier in the story. You have print outs no? Can you imagine how special it makes me feel when I think of someone rereading Vajra?
You're right about Swara, that was acute explanation of her confusion. Both blues and blacks.

Will see you again on the next comment. The winner one😉

Chapter 18 - "She who wears the crown", I am quite tempted to bestow the title to you for the wonderous tale you have managed to weave.
I'm not yet refined enough to be crowned dearest, but it's fabulous toimagine myself the queen of mystical realms...I might get myself a unicorn and a couple of dragons then...

The chapter was quite descritptive and as is typical with your updates give rise to three questions for every answer given. Admirable was the entire caste system of the nagas, it was almost poetic and wistful was the revelation - that though there was no king it did not mean that the system appreciated equity and equal oppurtunities - a very profound truth that reflects the state of very sentient being, human or elven. And here every outcast, by choice or chance had to join the nunnery of Kaaldwaras (I missed the name of this sect??).
I didn't name that sect. Calling them nuns seemed fitting at the moment. Glad you liked the cast system. It was indeed that shared disadvantage of both human and elven communitiesI planned to bring forth. Aruna could have been much more if born in a place that lets her, right?

And we have the encounter / confrontation between Aruna and the runaway child (is she by any chance - Sujata - I did recall you saying that you had a very nice role she would play and as I read, this child who would be saved by Aruna would definitely have a role to play?? or is it one of my wild, way of the mark, miss is good as a mile guess?) This meeting would certainly change the shape of things to come, right - Aruna ends up marrying Ram, Arya leaves for the human whom she loves, Mohan stays
behind for both his friends, Annapurna marries Ram as the "second spare" queen rather than the crown prince she was intended for (there was a scene to this effect in your earlier chapters, right - I really need to read all over again, I am simply rambing otherwise)
👏
You win!
Then another new entry - Megha (named after the clouds for their ability to travel unrestricted, visit lands even forbidden and able to bring storms?) Such a lovely interplay of his conclusions and the stormy cloudy climes - I loved the magic it foreshadows - he feels that the first woman he found was just the preclude to the storms which threaten to blow their lives apart and that Swara is the eye and the eye of the storm. And I am not even trying to guess about the dark eyed, pale faced and deep set eyes - maybe I will, in the end Suvanna recalls the Bhava stare with curiosity at her, so that is her discarded body?
I don't even try denying it. It is Suvanna's discarded body. And I did plan Megha as the cloud of this tale. He has so much potential in the end to come.
And he stumbles on our trio - he correctly gets that Swara is "his woman" though both Swara and Sanskaar will take time to accept and understand that they belong to each other. And even as the storms threaten to blow they would have to relearn everything that was taught to them, right? As Swara proved, sometimes innocence is enough, even if there is no trust, it makes the other person stop long enough to reconsider to the primary decision to kill.
Some people have that gift of compelling others to be good to them. 😳
Finally, Suvanna and Laksh - he is not as malleable as he made out to be, is it that he was not so much under her control when she asked him to slash his wrist and it was simply a small price to pay, in the large scheme of things? Could be, right. For Laksh appears to be in full control of his mind and senses and seems to be willing to take her help to get his way. But there is not much trust between them, for Suvanna appears to have anticipated this action.
The emulations will play a major part in the story and Lucky has and deal going on with our bad girl. You might have picked million more hints from the next chapter. So I won't say much here.

The last line - a new betrayal etched itself in the fabric of time - this would culminate in the brothers fighting against each other?
Could be...😉

I am now exhausted, cannot write anymore though I am not sure of what I have written either.

love,
Nyna

What ever you have written you managed to guess some of my darkest secrets in one go. I should start being very afraid if you in future. he he he! It meant a world to know I haven't written a load of rubbish. If one could make such acurate guesses it means the story makes sense!
I'm eternally grateful for the time you spent typing with out.

So the spring is coming...as I reached last bit of chapter 19 part 2..I just couldn't wait till I get my laptop to comment ...I am typing from my phone ..which I suck at ..so if you find some incoherent words pardon me

I took my time and went through all the chapters from 17 to 19 ..and I know now why I felt losing connection in between bcos vajra ..is something which deserves undivided attention ..and I get hang of things now ..

I am not going to analyse ..I would love being lost in land of vajra...and let you answer all questions .

One absolute outstanding aspect I would like to mention is the way you script vajra ...the screen play of taking readers to and fro unfolding events through different time lines and connecting threads ..you do it with such an ease ...👏⭐️

Laksh suvanna..a deal?? entry of megha ..kalindi being sujata ..we get a glimpse of nitya..the elder brother of ram and whom Annapurna was supposed to marry ,then we have aruna and ram and my fav of all .. 😉 yuvraaj and his eye ...I so so love this spring and it's blossom...and the part where swaras chooses to let her power reach Herz holding yuvraaj ...wat a moment yaar .⭐️ 👏 letting bro and sis duo of ap and aryamaan to step back ...

This is just getting more intriguing and more magical ..and this might be first time I guess...I am loving being lost ...in land of vajra.

Love
Lucky

Hey Veena,
Did I knock on your heart? I'm honoured to be able to. That's what Shobha says at the beginning, stories a alike, even in different generations. You're lucky to catch the entire update I uploaded in two parts originally. Thank you so much for the warm words dear!

I'm glad you're here girl(lost or not)😆It is awesome hearing from you.Vajra is one whirl.wind huh? Rolling you back and forth between three story lines...ir is it four or five? 😕 It's a luck that you like being lost, makes my job easier.
Yeah, Lakshya has struck a deal with the bad girl Suvanna. I like extra spice so added Megha and Sujata...they were supposed to appear though.
Then all the Ram ki Ram kahani. There's more to it you know. Over all I'm happy now that you're satisfied. Hope to see you soon with another chapter.

No baby you got it all wrong. 😊 I'm more happy if you spend the time in working on Vajra than replying. It seems I should use smileys more often! Lazy me! I daily checked the Forum for your update. I should be sorry instead as I could never gave a proper beautiful review this FF deserves!

I'm feeling bad as you got the misconceptions of hurting me. Aww... that should've dampened you... Are Chill!
