All i can suggest u is to read newspapers. It will really help u to see the reality. U can't compare Maheshwaris with Malaya, and if they were that influential one phone call would have prevented swara's arrest. But they're struggling. And besides this is not the first time swara is in jail, lucky too was in jail and to take him out the Maheshwaris bowed down to ragini's demands if they were influential I don't think that was needed.
India is a society of extreme paradox, we have a society which is still evolving. There are people who protest and raise there voices against injustice and too without bothering about consequences but still there are also people who remain mum even when the crime happens right in front of their eyes. I didn't say public is blind but both kind of situation exists in india. If police officer is beaten for molestation in a public place and that is a reality but a complete opposite and negative reality also exists in india as we talk. Both kind of situation exists in india. Any one can rape, a rapist does not fear anything because when he rapes all he thinks about is his sickening Lust. Anyone can target anyone. For u it does not sounds real but it happens unfortunately, I really don't know should I be happy for u that u live in such a secured environment or should I be sad about u not knowing the reality. In 2015 a policeman in Delhi raped a woman on gunpoint inside the police station and that police station had cctv which was an evidence against him. Can u imagine that?
Where did i mentioned casting couch? I am saying people who look "normal" can rape a woman. Some Boss rapes employees in office and by rape I mean rape its not consensual. Director too can rape any actor without consensus. U gave one example of shiny ahuja, there several woman who gets raped and don't report it at all, and this reality still exists. Several cases of rapes still go unreported.
