Hola everyone. Wish u and ur family a happy, prosperous and a safe Diwali. I'm currently very angry with the seg. And to calm down myself I'm giving this update. I had to do some research work for this chappy. Because being a south Indian, I know nothing about the sindoor khela which is grandly celebrated in bengal. I jotted down the points and added a bit of spices.
Note- I have no intention of hurting anybody's feelings. If I have hurt u in any way, it is purely unintentional. And pls drop down in ur comments if u have been hurt.

Chapter 16
They both reach to the shop which was mentioned by swara.
Shop
Swa- namaste kaka. Kaise ho aap. ( hello uncle. How r u)
Kaka- main acha hoon, beta. Tum kaisi ho. Aur ye ladka kon hai ( I'm fine. How r u. And who is this boy)
Swa- kaka ye mere pati hain, sanskar. ( uncle he is my husband, sanskar)
Kaka- acha. Waise beta tum yaha pe (ok. But u here)
Swa- kaka mujhe laal chudiyan chahiye. Kal mata ke upar chadhana hain naa. ( uncle I need some red bangles. Tomorrow we have to adorn the Goddess)
Kaka- haan beta. Ruko abhi deta hoon. ( yes. Wait I will bring them)
He goes to bring the bangles from inside.
San- ye uncle tumhare jaan- pehchan ke lagte hain ( is this uncle known to u)
Swa- haan sanskar. Mujhe Jo bhi accessories ki zarurat hoti hai to main yahi se khareedti hoon. ( yes sanskar. Whatever accessories I need, I come here and buy them)
The shopkeeper comes back with two boxes.
Kaka- ye lo beta ( take this, my child)
Swa- Lekin kaka ye dusra dabba. ( but this second box)
Kaka- ye meri taraf se ek chota saa uphaar ( a small gift from my side)
Swa- par iski kya zarurat hai kaka ( but what is the need of this)
Kaka- mera aashirwaad samajh ke rakh lo ( keep it with u as my blessings)
Swara agrees. She pays for the bangles and return back home where a storm is awaiting for them.
Mm
Rag- maa dekha aapne abhi raat ke 8 baj raha hai aur ye swara aur sanskar abhi tak nahi aaye. ( maa r u seeing. It is going to be 8 and still swara and sanskar have not come)
Ap- unhe aane do main Baat karti hoon swara se ( let them come. I will talk with swara)
Sujata who heard their talks immediately called to sanskar who has almost reached to home with swara.
Suj- tum dono kaha ho ( where r u both)
San- mom hum ghar pohochne wale hain. Par baat kya hai ( mom we r almost gonna reach home. But what is the matter)
Suj- ghar pe bohot bada tamasha hone wala hai sanskar. Ragini jiji ko tum dono ke khilaf bhadkane ki koshish kar rahi hai aur tumhare aate sath jiji tum dono par toot padne wali hai.
Main to kehti hoon tum dono aaj ghar aao hi mat. ( big hungama is going to happen. Ragini is turning jiji against u both. When u both r going to come naa she is going to burst on u. I am saying u both don't come to home tonight)
San- par mom ( but mom)
Suj- naa par- war kuch nahi sunna hai mujhe. Maine jaise kaha waise chup chap karo ( no ifs and buts. Do what I said)
Since phone was on speaker, even swara was listening.
Swa- par mom hum koi kayar Thodi na hain ( no we are not any cowards)
Suj- main apne bacho ko bhukha- pyasa nahi sone de sakti. Swara agar tu mujhe apni mom samajhti hai to meri baat maan le( I can't see my children sleeping with hunger. Swara if u ever considered me as ur mom then pls accept what I said)
San- ok fine mom. But hum reason kya denge. Bina reason ke hum nahi keh sakte ki hum aaj ghar nahi aa rahe.( ok fine mom. But reason will we give. Without any reason we just can't say we r not coming home)
Suj- Bol de ki car breakdown ho gaya hai. ( say that car broke down)
San- bade papa ek aur car bhej denge ( bade papa will send another car)
Swa- we can say bohot raat ho gayi hai. Is liye hum logo ne hotel mein booking karwa liya. Then they can't question us, right. Kyun mom kaisa laga mera idea. ( we can it is already late. So we have booked a room. Then they can't questin us, right. How is my idea mom)
San- tum dono ko hi aisa ajeeb ideas aate hain ( only u both get such weird ideas)
Swasuj- sanskaaar
San- fine. Mom kal milte hain ( mom we shall meet tomorrow) Good night. Time pe medicines le lijiye ( take ur medicines on time)
Swa- Gud nit mom.
Suj- good night beta.
Sujata cuts the call.
Sanskar calls Dp and tells him that their car broke down and they are in a hotel. So they will coming tomorrow directly to the puja. Dp says it is alright. He informs others thus making ragini's plan a big flop.
Swasan check in in a hotel.They both have their dinner which is available in the hotel and go to their room and sleep.
Morning
Swara woke up with the ringing sound of alarm from her phone. It showed 4:30 am. She woke sanskar up.
Swa- sanskar utho. It's 4:30. We need to leave for home. Get up.
San- swara pls sone do naa ( swara pls let me sleep)
Swa- sanskar utho warna. (sanskar get up otherwise)
San- tumhe Jo karna hai karo but let me sleep( do whatever u want but let me sleep)
Swara slowly got down from the bed and took a few drops of water from the jug which was kept on the stand beside the bed and poured them into sanskar's ear which jolted him out from his sleep.
San- ye kya tha swara( what was this swara)
Swa- kya kya ( what what)
San- why did u pour water in my ear.
Swa- tumne hi to kaha Jo karna hai karo. So that is what I did. Samjhe.
San- acha ( really)
Swa- haan ( yes)
He advaces towards her and she runs from there. Both of the run in the whole room. After some time both of them were tired. They both started laughing.
San- swara go get ready. Mera dress to ghar pe hai. I will get ready there( swara go get ready. My dress is in home. So I will get ready there)
( guys don't get confused. Actually, sanskar has a sherwani at home. Swara wanted to match her lehenga with his sherwani so she selected the first lehenga. She always wants them to wear co- ordinate colors)
Swa- ok.
Swara goes to freshen up.
( there will be everything in most of the hotels to freshen up. Eg, toothbrush, soap, etc. I have visited such type of hotels only)
She comes out in her lehenga and the choli without any dupatta. She was looking absolutely divine with wet hair and without any makeup. Just like an angel. She wore her mangalsutra. She adorned her maang with sindoor. She had few bangles made of glass in hands. She pins up her dupatta. She called sanskar through phone asking him to come back.
When he entered the room he was fully mesmerized. He felt as if an apsara has landed on the earth. Swara's scarlet cheeks made him come in his senses.
San- chalo.
Swa- hmm
Sanskar starts the car. By that time it was 5. He speeds up the car as it was early in the morning. They reach mm in 20 mins.
Shyam bhaiya opens the door for them. And they immediately go to their room to get ready.
Swara takes out the necklace given by that shop owner and wears it.
She goes down to lend a helping hand. Everyone wake up. They all get ready. By that time it was 6:30. One by one all the guests start coming. The gadodia family also came to the puja. Even pandit ji arrived. Puja started. ( I do not want to give an elaborate description about the puja- vidhi) the puja ended by 30-45 mins. ev
All the guests were praising swara for being so beautiful and an obedient daughter-in-law.
This was not being acceptable to some people( I guess u know who they are)
Lady 1- sach mein Sujata ji aapki bahu to ek dum chokhi hai. Itni aagyakari aur susheel bahu aaj kal kaha milti hai. ( really Sujata ji ur daughter-in-law is so good. Otherwise where do we get such obedient and good daughter-in-law these days)
Suj- apni apni kismat hai swapna ji ( it is all our fate swapna ji)
Dadi ( not parva gadodia the punya aatma) felt very happy listening to this. When she saw swara for the first time, she felt swara would be the correct choice for sanskar. And was happy for him to have got such a wife.
Soon everyone started to go. And even the maheshwari khandan thought to leave to Baadi.
The gadodia family was the first one to go. They couldn't bear the fact that swara was being more praised than their laado.
When mm wasis reached there the festivities was about to begin. Shomi who saw them went till the gate to welcome them.
Shomi- Arre aap log. Aayiye aayiye ( u all. Pls come)
Shomi- main bohot khush hoon ki aap log aaye. Sindoor khela abhi shuru hone wala hai. ( I'm very happy that u came here. Sindoor khela is just about to start)
Swasan changed their clothes. Swara was wearing the lehenga given by sanskar and sanskar was in the sherwani chosen by swara. Both of them come out.
All were very excited for it. Everywhere happiness was limitless. All the women were dancing in circles to the loud beats which was being played.
Swara again goes inside the house and signs shomi to come. Shomi goes inside where swara was already waiting for her.
Swa- maa mujhe permission letter mil gaya hai ( maa I have got the permission letter)
Shomi- ye to bohot achi khabar hai shona ( this is a very good news Shona)
Swa- par
Shomi- par kya ( but what)
Swa- maa I don't want to hide this from sanskar. Akhir mumma sanskar ki bhi kuch lagti hai( maa I don't want to hide this from sanskar. Because even sanskar is related to mumma)
Shomi- haan beta. Par agar use pata chalega to kya hoga tumhe pata hai. Sanskar Poora toot jayega ( yes. But if he comes to know u know what will happen. He will totally break)
Swa- maa mere paas aur koi option nahi hai. ( but i dont have any option) If I didnt say to him, then one or the other day he will surely come to know about the truth from somebody else. Main nahi chahti ki aisa kuch bhi ho jisse humare rishte par aanch aa sakta hai ( I don't want something like that to happen which will affect our relationship)
Shomi- tumne sanskar ko apna pati maan liya ( so u have accepted and kar as ur husband)
Swa- maa sanskar mera pati tabse hai jab se hum dono ki shadi hui hai. U know as the days are passing, I have begin to like him a lot maa. Maybe, mine and laksh's was not at all love but maa with sanskar I feel as if I don't need anything else in this world if I have him. I don't want my truth to affect our relationship in any way. Main aaj raat usse iske baare mein baat karne wali hoon ( I am going to talk with him tonight itself)
All this was heard by sanskar who was having a myriad of emotions. He just couldn't describe the emotions which he was feeling right then. He left from there before swara and shomi come out.
After a few mins swara and shomi also came out with a big thali full of red bangles and sindoor. They kept the plates near the Goddess' feet. And soon, started the ritual. All the women came forward and applied some sindoor to the Goddess and then started applying to others. All the maheshwari women were also taking part in all this very enthusiastically. Even ragini was also taking part as she did not want to let her in- laws down.
With beats of nagadas, everyone were dancing to their fullest.
In the last all the women, one by one, came near the Goddess and started wiping her eyes with betel leaves as if they are wiping her tears. And then the Goddess was taken out for visarjan in a grand procession.
