Chapter 2:

Ontario, Canada

"Mumma!" yelled a little boy who came running towards Ragini

"hi baby!" Ragini picked him up "mama missed adi so much" she kissed him on the cheek

"adi missed you too mama!" said the cute little boy

"bua!" yelled two other kids who were also in the room

Ragini put down adi and went towards her niece and nephew "kaya, ansh. How are my babies?"

"we are good bua, just missing mumma" replied ansh.

"aww but you have both your buas here," Ragini said while she grabbed him and tickled him "also you will meet your mom next week" she reminded him

"bua can I sleep with you tonight?" asked kaya while walking towards Ragini "yes baby, you don't need to ask," Ragini told her.

"okay now let me get you kids ready for bed, you all have school tomorrow and I am sure you wouldn't want to be late"

Ragini took the kids to the washroom one by one to get them ready for bed.

Kolkata, India

"lucky bhai" laksh heard Yuvraj calling his name as Yuvraj entered into his room

"I'm out here" replied laksh who was sitting outside on the terrace of his room, working on a presentation. (business presentation for a deal)

"hey, what's up?" Yuvraj asked laksh as he walked outside to the terrace with Karthik beside him.

Laksh looked up "nothing just working on a project"

"by staring at Ragini's picture?" Karthik asked

Laksh looked at her picture and picked it up "no, I just like having her picture around me, so I can talk to her whenever I want, even tho I very well know she won't reply back" he sighed

Yuvraj looked at his upset brother and looked at Karthik who squeezed his shoulder while giving him a slight nod, indicating that everything will be okay soon.

Twinkle who heard the whole conversation angrily walked in and said: "if you loved her that much why did you betray her?"

Laksh looked up at a fuming twinkle while Karthik tried his best to calm her down "di, calm down. Not now" twinkle looked at him and gave him the shut up and let me talk look' and turned her face towards laksh again waiting for him to answer.

Laksh who was startled by her answered "honestly I don't know why I betrayed her. I wanted to be free from our marriage, I wanted to give her pain for hurting and torturing my family, for betraying me into marrying her. So I got married to kavya instead of Ragini. Then days passed without ragini which was weird but then kavya had me drugged me half the time so I couldn't think of anything. Slowly I realized how wrong I was for leaving the girl who always stood by me even when I was wrong, the girl who only knew how to love me. Instead of giving her the same love in return I gave her pain. I hate myself for doing all that to her. I wish I can go back and change everything. But right now all I know is I love her very much, I don't know how or when I fell in love with her but I love her very much, maybe it was when I was pretending to love her or when I was friends with her, all I know is that I always felt a pull towards her from the beginning and was stupid for not recognizing it. But I wish her to be happy where ever she is. Even if that means that I won't be in her life, I'll be fine living with only her memories. " he wiped away the tear that made its way out of his eyes.

"you really love her do her, don't you?" asked twinkle who noticed immense love in his eyes for Ragini.

He looked up at her "more than myself."

"well I hope she gives you a chance" whispered Karthik.

Days passed and Yuvraj, Karthik, and Twinkle bonded well with everyone especially laksh.

The day of arrival.

"mahi, for the last time, shut up!" Ragini whispered.

"sorry!" mahi whispered back.

"Ragu do you have the cake?" asked Kunj

"yea, I set it on the table..." she looked at Kunj and asked, "did you message Bhabhi?"

"yea she said they all will be down in a few minutes, but before coming she will give us a signal"

"okay," she nodded and turned towards mahi "you have those party poppers ready right?"

"yup! I got that already" she looked at Ragini "don't worry, I know they will be shocked to see you but it was supposed to happen one-day" Ragini looked at her and laughed "when did my baby sister grow up?"

"di!" she made an annoyed face "acha I am sorry!" Ragini surrendered. Mahi was about to say something when she heard a whistle

"I think that the signal, get ready," Kunj told them and duck down with Mahi and Ragini following him behind.

On the other side, the whole Maheshwari family were confused as to why they were being called in the living room at 12:00 Am. Twinkle, Yuvraj, Leela and Ashok only knew what was going on while the rest didn't have a clue including Karthik.

Laksh who was standing beside Karthik and was about to ask what's going on, when all of a sudden the lights came on and they heard

"SURPRISE!" the three siblings yelled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEETHU!" again yelled the three siblings.

The whole Maheshwari family went into shock , well except Leela, Ashok, Twinkle and Yuvraj while Karthik was just surprised.

Ragini ran towards Karthik and jumped on him while he picked her up and spun her around "happy birthday idiot!"

Karthik let her go but still held on to her waist "I thought you guys were coming tomorrow?" he asked confused

"And miss your birthday? Hell no" she laughed when her eyes fell on laksh who was seething seeing her in someone else's arms.

Ragini composed herself and thought it's okay Ragini you don't love him anymore, he will not affect you, you will not let him affect you. Just go and casually meet the rest of the family.' She took a deep breath in and let it out.

She walked over towards where Leela and Ashok were standing "Leela ma!" Ragini said while engulfing her into a big hug. She let go of her and told her "I missed you so much Leela ma!" Leela pat her face and said "arre mere puttar I missed you too" and they both laughed

"di move! I also want to meet Leela ma!" Mahi stomped her feet while Ragini just stuck out her tongue and let her meet Leela. Both the girls turned towards Ashok and put their palms out "our chocolate" they both said in union

Ashok laughed "I knew that would be the first thing you two will ask for" and he pulled out three chocolates. He gave one to mahi one to Ragini and the other to twinkle who was standing beside him.

The three girls hugged him and said "we love you Ashok papa/ papa"

The girls left Ashok and started screaming "BHABHI I MISSED YOU SOO MUCH" Mahi screamed

"I KNOW RIGHT! WE FELT SO INCOMPLETE!" Ragini also yelled in excitement "TELL ME ABOUT IT I HAD TO ENDURE THESE TWO WITHOUT YOU TWO" twinkle also said wit the same excitement while pointing at Yuvraj and Karthik. And had a very long group hug.

"Kunj who had been quite the whole time spoke up "hey don't say anything to my lovely brothers"

"bhaiyya I thought you were on our side," asked Mahi

"hey, you guys are the ones on your bhabhi's side so I decided to be on my saale's side"

"yea now that's like jeeju!" Yuvraj exclaimed while the girls just rolled their eyes.

Twinkle grabbed raginis hand and took her towards Annapurna, Durga Prasad, Sujatha, and Ram Prasad.

Twinkle looked at Ragini who had her head down the whole time.

"bade papa, chote papa I'm sorry we hid the fact that we knew ragini, it was only for her best, but now I know Ragini wants to say something to all of you."

Ragini looked up at twinkle and also saw Kunj, Karthik, Yuvraj, and mahi who gave her a slight nod

Ragini folded her hands while her head was down and cried "papaji, ma, Chachi Ji, aur chacha Ji I am very sorry for whatever I have done to you, I don't know how to look you guys in the eyes. Especially ma I'm very sorry I was really horrible to you, to all of you" she looked up only to find all of them looking at her with tear filled eyes.

Annapurna came forward and cupped her face "beta we have forgiven you long back"

"haan chori, no need to say sorry anymore" Sujatha added

"Ragini beta we all know what you did was wrong but you also saved our family from being humiliated cause of kavya. So you don't need to say sorry." Durga Prasad patted Ragini's head.

"yes Ragini bhaisa is right we have forgiven you long back," said Ram Prasad.

Ragini looked up at Sankar and walked towards him "Sankar I know you probably hate me but I want to apologize for all the wrong accusations I put on you if you can please forgive me"

Sanskar looked at Ragini and smiled "it's glad to finally have you back" Ragini looked at him ans smiled in return, she was about to ask something but Sanskar cut her off "she is at baadi with ma" Ragini nodded and turned towards laksh "hi"

Laksh looked at Ragini with tears in his eyes, oh how much he wanted to just grab her and hug her, but he knew he had to wait.

"how are you?" he asked with a bittersweet smile

"I'm good... umm this is for you" she said handing him a letter, he looked at her confused "read it you'll find out what this is" she told him and turned around and walked towards twinkle and Kunj.

okay i know you guys are proabably upset as i didnt focus on RagLak but the next chapter is gonna be filled with RagLak, once laksh reads the letter he will go crazy😛😉
