It was a shoddily executed program and very badly edited. Instead of focussing on all their popular actors the whole focus was on Bollywood invitees, Bharti and her stupid humorless show, and Nagin and its leads. The channel obviously does not respect its audience/fans otherwise the complete lack of focus on the best actor/actress and jodi winners would not be so glaring. They know how much audience loves them at least focus a little on them while declaring them winners instead of acting like you just want to get those awards over and done with. The royal ignore given to SR cast was too hard to ignore. And I watched Nagin a couple of times out of curiosity just to see what its all about. Its a crappy show and both the lead actors are absolutely wooden...no acting skills. They both look good...that's about it.
I personally think SR has some fantastic star cast acting wise...Varun and Tejaswi are excellent actors given the right script and roles. Helly Is pretty good too, all the senior actors are very good. I only find Namish as the weakest link here but he has improved of late. The problem is the script, story and editing is pathetic and it seems to be heading nowhere. I would love to see Varun, Tejaswi, Helly in a good, well directed serial. Someone here compared Arjun Bijlani and Varun...Varun is by far a much better and more nuanced actor than AB. I was a big fan of AB during MJHT days but his acting skills are fairly limited. I think people are confusing Varun's natural shyness and a non-gung-ho persona with his acting skills. A person can be a fantastic actor but not be a natural in front of crowds. He is more of a natural actor than a bollywood type of performer who can do song dance etc. and an overall entertainer. AB comes across more as an entertainer. The two are different things and require different skills.
Anyway, coming back to Colors, the way they treated the cast of SR are they planning to can the show or something?? If they do, I really hope all these wonderful actors find a good show to entertain us
further.
