Chapter 2

Sharmishta, Swara and Ragini were pacing in the house. They were eagerly waiting for the news.

Mr. Tarun, their savior, was fighting for his life. Sharmishta knew if it wasn't for Mr. Tarun she and her daughters would have lived a miserable life. She was grateful to him for everything.

Ragini was in shock. When all she wanted was to tell him the news of her admission she received this shocking news.

Mr. Tarun was the father figure in her life. Whenever she needed one he was there. Truly speaking he never let her miss Shekhar.

Swara was standing in front of God's idol praying for his life. He was one person who understood her. Her family was never a burden on him. Though she did not wanted to be selfish but she knew if anything happens to Mr. Tarun his wife won't take time to throw them out. It does not mean that she did not love Mr. Tarun.

Though he could never replace her father but he was a father figure. Yes that's what she considers him.

She wanted to see him again.

In the morning Swara woke up first. Her mother was sleeping on the couch. Ragini was lying with her head on the table.

Sharmishta and Ragini woke up too. Last night seemed too long.

'Tak tak'

Someone knocked the door. Swara opened it. A servant was standing there.

"Tarun Saab nahi rahe"

Swara was standing numb on the door. Her worst fear came true.

Basu Niwas::

A woman was sitting on the couch. A new widow. She should have shaken the whole world with her cries. But she was busy calling people.

"Mere pati ab nahi rahe. Aapne hamare ghar aana hai iss dukh ko baatne"

Finally she remembered the most important people who were yet to receive this news.

Her Children...

She called her daughter.

"Hello sweety. I have a bad news. Your father is dead."

She cut the call and looked at the servants.

"Har cheez ko badal do. Mere bachhe aa rahe hai"
