Dear Saku,

I am finally unres - a little early by my standard for tardiness.😃

Where do I begin? Each time I read a chapter of yours, I sit down and try to summon adequate words to write hoping that maybe the next chapter would be a little easy for me. But you never give us any respite - each chapter seamlessly fits into the earlier ones and at the same time, you bring in another nuance, yet another hint of a further story to be told, a tantalising glimpse of more to come, leaving us poor mortals absolutely breathless and desperate for more. 👏👏

I seriously think your tale should come with a statutory warning "Capable of making you forgetting reality, read at your own risk" Fine by me, who gives a damn about reality when the elven magic beckons you?

Sanskaar slowly realising that maybe, he should not be casting the spell on Swara - the entrapment kind - I do not mind the enchantment one where they steal each other's hearts . Dida is feeling a little sorry for the role she played, guess this would set the way for a far more significant role that she would play in future. And then her words about Sanskaar's father - another tale in the offing.

Ragini - she is quite lost - agreed Lakshya was being ambivalent and ambiguous and vague and highly uncertain but still Ragini presumes he is talking about her??? That bubble will burst quite soon and will hurt.

So Lakshya has had two "rites" (for want of a better word, and I am sure that these two ''rites'' will lead to a 'wrong') performed on him - Sanskaar erases Lakshya's memory, which I think is a mistake for if Lakshya does not remember that he has a brother whom he loves more than the throne, how would he stop himself from killing Sanskaar? The second is by Annapurna - I presume that is to make him immune to any elven power so that she could use him to kill Sanskaar and claim Vajra and is also the cause of his memory loss? And as Lakshya would be the master of Aithne, this severing of his soul with his mind would somehow help him gain mastery over Aithne, I guess.

Finally, Pari is Agni's daughter - see one piece of the puzzle falls in place and you create two more. Does she even remember anything of her elven existence and is she aware of who Sanskaar is?

Sanskaar stating that loyalty must be earned and not forced is so true. And it is this act of Sanskaar that binds Agni so absolutely to him, so is it that having the Skia watch Annapurna is more of Agni's acting on his own suspicions.

And then the dream / vision - that could be what would happen to her when she is handed over to Annapurna. And the voice she hears asking her to let go, what does she hold (her ''eye'' is not a power that she can give up or give over, right?) and it happens after she falls for Sanskaar. And though I did not understand completely (a couple of readings should help me out) I loved Swara and Sanskaar here - it has something to do with him being an Oneiro, was he casting a ''cancellation dream'' to counter her vision? And he means it when he says that no one will hurt her. And the song he hums, is it the same one that his mother sang to him so many moons ago, when life had hope and he had his innocence?

I am now desperate for more!

Love,
Nyna

Res for 13
Unres 😃

Hi Saku dearest,

I just read your lovely update and if i didnt unres now, i might actually find myself unable to do so when i get caught up in my real world. So sorry for the brief comment in advance.

Oh how much i loved this update , words cant express. It was too good. Each character in your story make me feel either love or hate for them and i never thought the girl that died would be daughter of Agni. That was a shocker and pari was her sister and Sanskar is on the mission to save Pari as promised. Wow so much new information in one update, i can hardly process but loved it . I need to read Viji comments and your reply to unrerstand Lakshya character arc, so no one can predict what goes on his mind and Sanskar is still trusting him way too much. That going to become his biggest threat.

I loved the last scene way too much, Swara and Sanskar in one scene can make me feel so good, her indirectly accusing him of killing her and he assuring that he wont do so was too good. Will wait to read Sanskar POV. Loved Dida and her constant attempts to keep this two together.

Should i feel bad for Ragini or stay angry at Lakshya i dont know yet. Let see what Ragini does in the upcoming chapter and i will decide about that. I totally loved this update Saku dearest and love all the things you revealed in each part. Lakshya was innocent when he was young now he will be the villian due to AP. I so hate her. What is the key she is looking for i hope it never gets to her hand. Thanks for the PM dear and sorry for the breif comment. Hope my admiration for this update comes through inspite of me being short at words.

Love

Res😊 for 13
Unres😊
Hey Saku!!!🤗
Everytime i read a new chapter of Vajra I can't help but think- Gosh! What an imagination!!!⭐️⭐️ It's brilliant.. vivid, super creative, and simply out of this world (😛)!!
Dida is so mischievous😆 Smoothly she made Swara n Sanskar agree to her so that they spend some more time together.. She seems convinced Swara is Sanskar's lumiere (and vice-versa), and that Annapurna is more black than grey, and wants Sanskar to realise this as well... The spell is the one which prevents Swara from identifying Sanskar? Or is it something else n i missed it?
Ragini.. poor thing.. we know her dreams are going to be shattered soon enough... Btw, what is Suvanna trying to do exactly? Turn Rags against Swara/Laksh? Does she know their real identites?
Lil Laksh was so innocent, noble and valiant too, at peace knowing that his pain was worth it coz it would aid the kingdom.. Believing the lie... And his mother and uncle😡 The explanation of what that procedure would do to him, the immense pain and its effects were so alarming... How this affects the plot, combined with other actions, is gonna be very interesting.. Very well written dear..😊
I loved how you have sketched Sanskar's character.. and present tiny slices to us through snippets like these... The makings of a true king, sharp, benevolent, determined, skilled..
So Swara had a vision, rather unyielding and horrifying.. what triggered it? And why do i think that it was some female who was torturing her??😲 Also I have a slight doubt that maybe the 'prince of vajra' is not the prince that we think it is😉 Was Sanskar actually sharing her pain? Still, loved their whole sequence...😃😃 Especially the last part, where he calms (and charms) her, and reassured that he is with her, she does fall into peaceful sleep... Dard bhi tum aur Dawa bhi tum
Great chapter!👏 I know I sound very confused, what with all the questions that i have barsaoed in each para... but I'm loving it!!!😃😃 The thrill, the puzzles, every facet⭐️⭐️
Much love to you,
Akku🤗

Saku my dear 🤗

With each update, you bring in more intriguing angles, a further layer of nuance. 😊 How do you think of so many threads to your plot, tying each of them in neatly as you go. 👏 Really amazing.

Here we had Dida trying to bring together Swara and Sanskaar---she does realize, that Swara is definitely Sanskaar's lumiere, and that Annapurna is perhaps conniving to cause her beloved grandson some real harm.
Shobha seems to have also become genuinely fond of Swara, a feeling that is reciprocated in full measure.

Shobha has already started trying to make Sanskaar see how he was manipulated into giving his word to his step mother. Eager to see where this goes, when would Sanskaar realize the full extent of Annapurna's perfidy.

The scene with Ragini and Lakshya---God, I felt quite a bit of exasperated sympathy for Ragini/ Janki. Lakshya's words were kind of ambiguous, yes, but Ragini convinced herself that Lakshya meant her, since she was so starved for approval and fueled by a desire to be loved. The signs were always there that Lakshya did not mean her.

And Lakshya...dazzling his smile may be, a nice glowing aura he might have (in Ragini's eyes at least 😛), but he is rather clueless in deciphering signals of what Ragini feels for him. It isn't as if she is making any special effort to hide her dependence on him, her fascination with him. And yet he makes such an ambiguous statement about his affections for somebody...well, to be fair, it wasn't exactly too ambiguous, but perhaps for Ragini, subtlety is not the way to go! 😆 😉

I'm just curious as to why Lakshya loves Swara here, and not Ragini. Swara has always held him at arm's length, treated him with a certain amount of disdain and quite a bit of wariness. It's been Ragini, who has been showing so much interest and fascination in him. Is it just a case of desiring what one cannot have? The fruit lying out of reach? Or is there a more sinister plan to all this? Has someone manipulated his mind to covet and strive to possess the Eye, the Lumiere of his far more illustrious brother? Curious...😊

From there you took us to a fascinating detour into the past, showing a glimpse of the genuinely nice kid the young Lakshya seems to have been. The idea of being a traitor to his brother, of being a person fated to kill him, horrifies Lakshya then. He loves Sanskaar, and I do feel that emotion was genuine. He would have been willing to do anything to prevent himself from becoming that traitor...but his mother and uncle had other, devious plans.

So Annapurna and Aryaman seem to have taken Lakshya to the Sambhava clan of witches to have some occult rite performed. And Annapurna definitely lied as to what that rite was meant for. 😡 She says it is to prevent anyone from using an Elven power against him, to turn him into a traitor. And poor Lakshya, was eager to go through with it, to ensure no one made a traitor out of him. But I guess the purpose of that rite was something more sinister.

The effect seems very painful and dark---one that forced Lakshya to shut down his conscious mind, and severed forever the link between his mind and his soul. 😕 You know I'm not a big fan of L^3, but I do see how whatever this rite was performed for, did in a way, shape his ultimate destiny and the steps he will now probably take.

The snapshot of the past continues with your detailing of the relationship between Agni and slain Skia--and what a masterstroke there, Pari is the missing sister of that poor Skia, and in fact, Agni's daughter. That conversation between Agni and Sanskaar was so poignant, so meaningful. Indeed, true loyalty cannot be forced, it can only be earned. Sanskaar's desire to restore Agni's missing daughter to him is the link to his interaction witn Pari in the present. I was wondering in the earlier chapters, how and why Sanskaar met Pari "Agrawal". 😆

Does Pari know who Sanskaar really is? Does she know he is the Yuvraj who has come to restore her to her father? Or has Sanskaar kept that a secret from her for now? Based on their dialogue in the earlier chapter, I somehow felt Pari doesn't know the full truth...

So Sanskaar removed Lakshya's memories in the past, before he was sent to exile? Hmmm...like Agni, I'm not sure if that was a good move or not. Lakshya as a kid, loved his brother. He would do anything not to become a traitor to Sanskaar, a traitor to the throne of Vajrateertha. But those memories have now been removed. Add to that, the rather questionable rite his mother made him undergo, forcing him to shut down his conscious mind.

If I've got it right, Lakshya therefore underwent two "modifications" of his memory. The first, which Annapurna and Aryaman arranged for, under the guidance of the Elven Sambhava withches. Followed by Sanskaar's removal of his memories. How each of these acts would act and react upon the other, is really a question which is intriguing me. 😊

The ending of the chapter, that wonderfully evocative stretch where Sanskaar comforts Swara, soothes her and prevents her from falling in the grip of her nightmares, was so beautiful. So she had a vision of herself being tortured at some time in the future. Wonder by whom---Suvanna? Annapurna?

The pain she felt, the sheer terror, was so frightening to read about. And instinctively, her call for succor is to Sanskaar 😊 Even though, at this stage, her conscious mind still thinks the Vajra prince is out to destroy her. Well, her heart and her subconscious know better, don't they? 😳

The whole para was wonderful...about how Sanskaar shared her pain, calmed her mind and encouraged her to think of happy memories of her childhood. Dispelled the cold, dark dread of her nightmares, with sunny, pleasant memories, the lilting sound of his voice, and the serene comfort of his gaze. 😊 Wonderful.

Waiting eagerly for more!

Saku🤗🤗

Wow ..one more intriguing chapter where some secrets are revealed ..more mysteries yet to be revealed
😊
It was a very quick read yaar , I didn't even realize when it ended

Shobha is going to be very instrumental in bringing sanskaar and his close I guess so,and how sanskaar is sharing the pain of swara yet he is bound by his word to take her back to annapurna. Very shortly he would be struggling between his feelings for her and duty?? and I cant wait to read sanskaars pov on the vision swara has .. swasan part obv my fav of all😳😳 I am loving this dreams and visions😉

That dead lady is agni's daugter😲, well that was shocking revelation and pari is agni's daughter as well, and sanskaar knows this, but does pari know who sanksaar is and does adarsh know who pari is ?

Lakshya - Ragini ; Laksh loves swara and ragini misinterpreted it was her, ignoring the voices, suvanna was trying to make her see truth??..bad move by her

Lakshya- I felt sorry for him in this chapter yaar. My heart went out for him when he asked his mom if she is going to torture him. His falling seriously ill immediately which led to Nanda being charged for trying to kill laksh.. It was all planned isnt it ??😲 I wonder what serious implications it may have in future , One doubt saku, so no elvn power can have effect on him, so Is laksh immune to charms of sanskaar ?? does sanskaar know this ??

Questions and more questions again😆

When I read vajra it feels like scenes are unfolding before my eyes, and thats one thing I absolutely adore about your writing⭐️👏👏 and always a fan of your scripting ⭐️

Cant wait to read next part

Love
Lucky
