Hahaha...I realized when you said it, that Toska rhymes somewhat with your name. But the meaning is not cheerful, you're right. Full of anguish and yearning and nostalgia.

Done! I will try to find another lovely word which rhymes with your name and is full of bliss and love. 😉 😛 Will let you know as soon as I find it!

I will do my best to frame an OS on one of Rabindranath Ji's poems...am working on an OS again based on a foreign word, at the moment. After that, will take up the poem based one.

The nights are always the worst, a time when everything is quite & the turmoil in your heart & mind is too loud to let you rest😭 And that painful feeling in your chest can almost choke you. Self respect, it can make life unbearable but without it life is terrible too. Phew!

In their usual hurry to rush from one track to the next the show completely forgot to show us this "tadap" on Swara's part for Sunny where she would think of him every minute of the day. So much of wasted potential...the heart bleeds

So she is going home?! Finally akal aayi iss ladki ko😳 After all as they say home is where the heart is & she left hers behind in Kolkatta😳

Isn't Uttara the sweetest! So damn cute😳

Sunny lost weight & keeps a beard now Poora devdas bana diya bechare ko. Swara!!!😡

Them on that recliner brings to mind Suman & Prem's poster pose from Maine Pyaar Kiya😆 though of course this one was a lot more intimate☺️

The journey from Toska to Ekstaz was superbly written Viji👏 Shomi deserves a special mention here especially for those thoughts on Kavi & her importance in Sunny's life.

So happy to know you loved this journey from Toska to Ekstaz. 😊

Real life does get in the way of important things nai? 😆 I was telling a few guys the other day, I've been having a couple of horrendous customers breathing down my neck this past week...I think they are Norwegian Ridegbacks from the Harry Potter books, the amount of fire they're breathing!! Ugh! I wanted to have 3 OS's up for Valentine's Week...had to put so much fight to get this one out. Literally up until 3 am on 2 successive nights. The second one is in the works now...but today looks tight, and have some commitments tomorrow as well.

Anyway forget all that, back to this OS. 😉 Toska is such a lovely word, na? There was actually this issue of Readers Digest some years back which had this article on most lovely foreign words (think it was a list of 20 words). Saudade was my absolute favorite, followed by Toska. There were a few more, and in fact, the other 2 OS's I'd planned were also based on those other words. 😉

Some of the P & P quotes go so well for Sunny boy na? And some for the Golden girl too, in fact! 😆 Oh, the serial Sanskaar ought to have said "You have said enough Madam" to the serial Swara , ages ago!! He is so patient, so unconditionally in love, is Sanskaar...

Haan yaar, Swara certainly has self esteem issues, the way I see it. Not that one can blame her, given that she has never had a stable father figure in her life, and even after Shekar accepted her and acknowledged his paternity, he's hardly been a model father. She's had to face hostility and mistrust from her Father, ex fiance, Grandad...not at all surprising if she wonders whether she's cut out for love at all, whether she's even worth the intense adoration Sunny boy feels for her. Somewhere, she probably feels she has so many doubts about love, she might not even be able to reciprocate his emotions to the extent he deserves. She might not want to risk their friendship in pursuit of that elusive, beautifully fragile emotion she fears she can't do justice to.

At least, that's my interpretation. 😊 We never got to see this much of detail in the serial na...they just jumped tracks like crazy. But I would like to believe that was the essence of the character they created with such love, earlier.

Sanskaar seriously has nerves of steel and a will of iron. But as we know, those sleepless hours of night are always tough na? When your mental and emotional defenses are down, and your subconscious can literally torture you with hopes and dreams. Poor dude must have felt so much torment, all the more so since he'd lost all hope of ever having that beautiful future with the one he loved.

That SwaSan conversation on Diwali day, with Sanskaar wanting to go along with her to Benares...that pushed up Sunnu Boy's "Awww, so cute" reading up by several notches! 😆 😉 Seriously, I felt like banging my head on the wall when Swara said it was a sisters only outing!

Shruti...😆 🤣 When you said Sanskaar's tousled look is "jaan lewa", I was remembering a song with those lyrics. (With Arjun Rampal and ugh! Manisha Koirala 🤢). Ok, let's forget Manisha, please. 😉

I could just picture SwaSan in that song, since you mentioned those words...with Swara going all cavewoman on Sunny boy...😳 ☺️ My, My, what a nice image to have for the SwaSan Valentine's weekend. 😉

So glad you liked Swara's tadap for Sanskaar...she is also experiencing Toska to its fullest! And then of course, Shomi gives her some very pertinent counsel on how the past stays in the past. Its the present and future that matters, and when they love each other so much, why be insecure?

And how could I resist that epic SwaSan moment on the recliner from the serial. 😉 So the "Tum mere upar ho", in the interest of fairness, now becomes "Tum mere neeche ho"...😳 After all, they both need to take turns with the upar/ neeche nahi? Ok--Sorry! Slight GM alert. Let's move on...😆

So glad you liked their romance in the end. Yes, after all that anguish and yearning filled Toska, the poor dears certainly needed some Ekstaz with some very intense, soulful kisses. ☺️

So happy that you loved the process of Swara's complete acknowledgement of her love for Sanskaar, and then her confession of her feelings to him. Yes, poor Sanskaar had kind of given up hope that he would ever have his beautiful dreams fulfilled. He had probably resigned himself to being Swara's friend, even though it was practically eating him from inside, to not have her return his love. So his intense feelings gushing forth when she does confess her adoration for him, would be a very poignant time for both of them.

Swara's realisation and the confession was so wonderful. Sanskaar just could not beleive it that what he had been yearning from such a long time is finally with him , in his arms.

Pride and Prejudice and Persuasion are both my favorites from Jane Austen. Both are awesome novels. And yes, Sanskaar certainly has some attributes of Mr Darcy, and also of Captain Wentworth from Persuasion. I guess, he is probably slightly more like Captain Wentworth rather than Mr Darcy. 😉

I was so very happy to hear that you loved the portrayal of Sanskaar's anguish and yearning, as well as Swara's realization and her confession of her love to Sanskaar.

I wanted to show Sanskaar and Swara's intense yearning, their anguish at being separated and their nostalgia for their times together. Very glad you liked that portrayal, as well as Shomi being a perceptive and wise mother, gently clearing Swara's doubts and deeply held insecurities.

I was in SwaSan dreamland when I wrote that reunion scene. 😊 I wanted to make it very tender, romantic and passionate. The journey from Toska to Ekstaz. 😉 I was literally over the moon when you said you'd read the reunion scene more than 10 times and still couldn't get over it. 😳 Thanks from the bottom of my heart, dear. What more could I ask for than for completely moving feedback like this.
