Hey Bubble...Sorry for my tardiness in making this comment. Have been caught up in some work, and was then lagging behind in replies to comments on my thread. So had a cascading effect. 😕

Bubble...hats off to you, for truly making Ragini and Lakshya come alive as characters in this Fic. I won't deny it, I am nowhere as invested in this pair as I am with SwaSan, but despite that, your updates concerning RagLak fascinate me. Show me what the serial could have made of these layered, complex characters. Kudos for that.

Chappie 56 and 57 dealt with a very interesting aspect: Lakshya's growing feelings for Ragini. Perhaps he hasn't yet identified it as "love"--preferring to cloak it in his mind as "like" or "desire" or "lust" or "companionship". I don't know yet. He seems a chilled out guy in your fic, not prone to over analysing himself too much. But he certainly made that effort to stop smoking for her...or perhaps it was to prevent her shying away from his advances when he stank of tobacco. 😆

But however pheromonally charged this "feeling" he has for her is right now, one can trust in good ol' oxytocin to make him "bond " with her after all. 😉 😳 Besides, Ragini is now keeping her end of the bargain isn't she? She is molding herself in his colors, seeing herself through his eyes.

That whole bawling out of that 90s wala song...gosh I'm so glad I found someone else who knew and liked that song too..😆 was so cute. Yaalgaar wasn't it? The film which had that song I mean. I liked it inspite of the actors, whom I didn't care for at all...😆

So Lakshya unwraps Ragini from the towel like a delectable gift. 😉 For some reason, I kept thinking of Julius Caesar and Cleplopatra coming before him wrapped in a carpet or something of the sort 😆.

BTW Bubble my dear...in the earlier chapter, when a still damp Lakshya comes out of the shower and nearly pounces of Ragini. ...saying she should dry him. ...so they can make a fair trade...she would make him dry and he would make her wet...I was like...did I read what I think I read? ?? 😳 Lucky is pretty outrageous, no? 😳

Chap 58 was very nice too, in showing that playful rapport and banter between the 2 couples. Lakshya's "Shona and Shona" joke was rib tickling. As was Sanskaar's growled threat of breaking Lakshya's jaw, nose, hands and feet, if HE was the person being referred to as "Shona". 😆 And errrmmm I had a lot of fun trying to picture Lakshya acting all effeminate for the occasion, cooing how Sanskaar's caveman tactics were so macho...Shona!! 😉 For some reason, I could totally picture NT doing this scene...which, to be frank, didn't enthuse me much. 😉 Kya kare...I like the Lakshya in your fic, but the remnants of old prejudices run deep. 😆

Yes, Lakshya isn't analysing too much at this stage... He offered her everything he was able to and he's still there... although very happy with the way she has stepped up to what he asked of her. He's sure of her intentions now... doesn't need to "manage" her like before and that makes him very relaxed.

That song from Yalgaar is a favourite... for its boldness and the unusual situation... I still laugh at the way Sanjay Dutt strips even on his way into the house. And oddly enough, for all its raunchiness, it's a ghazal in form!

Haha, that 'dry' and 'wet' reference was outrageous... but probably on my part more than Lakshya's... 😛😳

Basically that was intending to tell the reader that this intimacy and level of liberty wasn't new between these two... they had arrived at it somewhere along the way while we were looking elsewhere.

The difference between the two couples' trajectory comes up here... A natural deepening in intimacy in the case of Swasan but here with Ragya, where the fact of intimacy was announced on the opening page... strangely, there is an enriching of that intimacy.

I know what you mean about Namish. I somehow have always separated the character from the actor... although the character is now irredeemably rubbish.

I do have Namish in mind for this Lakshya but conveniently, a sort of a clone... better voice, better diction, more presence...
