Part Seven
At Night: Swara's Room
Swara didn't realise how long she had been sleeping on the floor resting her Head on the Bed. She awoke with a start when she heard a knock on the Door. She woke up, made herself presentable and opened the Door. Her Maa stood infront of her carrying a thaali with her. "Shonaa! Are u alright? U didn't come out since Morning." Her mother asked her. "Maa I'm fine. I was just tired." She replied. "Woh..Shonaa..Sujataji aur Annapurnaji ne tere liye Shagun bheja hai" she said and handed over the Thaali to her "Aur aaj Durga Prasad Ji ne Teri aur Sanskar ki Engagement Rakhi hai aur Kal Shaadi..." Swara could feel the pain her Mother was going through to tell her all this. Her life had been simple till Yesterday but now this Sanskar who was now going to be her Son-in-Law had spoiled everything. Swara nodded and took the Thaali from her and told her Mother that she would get ready and come in some time. Her Mother nodded and left. Swara closed the door slowly and went to the Washroom to get ready.
After sometime, Swara sat in front of the Mirror getting ready. Ragini came in and started helping her. "Swaraa! Tum kyu kar rahi ho yeh sab? Kyu uss Jaanvar se Shaadi kar rahi ho?"Asked Ragini unable to digest the fact that Swara had agreed to marry the person who was responsible for her present condition. "Ragini please.. Mujhe iss baare mein aur baat nahi karni. Mein aur kya karti? I didn't have any other option. I did a Mistake by Falling in Love with Him and I cannot let my mistake ruin your life." Tears fell from Swara eyes "Main ne Badi Mushkil se yeh Faaisla liya. Please mujhe aur kamzor mat karo." Swara pleaded to her sister. Seeing her sister in tears, Ragini too started crying. "Please Swara, Don't Cry. He is not worth your tears." Said Ragini. Both the sisters hugged each other tightly trying to forget their sorrows. Tomorrow they would be separated. They had always imagined their Weddings and had always dreamed of getting Married together on the same Mandap. But Karma striked, and now they only had a day left to be with each other. Breaking the Hug, both of them composed themselves and walked out of their Room to join their Family who were all waiting for them. As soon as Dadi's eyes fell on Swara she remarked "Kitta Sona( Gold) diya hai inn Maheshwariyon ne! Yeh toh Khaali Sagai ke liye diya hai. Pata nahi Shaadi ko kitta Denge. Main kah rahi hoon na Shekhar Mahri Swara Raaj Karegi wahan par." Her words didn't have much of an effect on the rest of the people. Truth be told the Maheshwaris had played a big game to save their son, forcing the Gadodias to accept Sanskar as their Son-in-law. Without speaking another word, the Gadodias walked out of the House to witness their Daughter's engagement with the Devil.
Same Night: Maheshwari Mansion
The Gadodias were welcomed warmly in the Maheshwari Mansion. The MM was decorated beautifully, no one could tell that this decoration was done all of a sudden. The guests though seemed to be surprised at Durga Prasad Maheshwari's quick decision to get his Brother's Son engaged to his Childhood friend Shekhar Gadodia's Daughter. They kept on gossiping about what could be the reason for such a sudden step. After a lot of persuasion, DP had finally claimed that it was due to his Friend's health conditions due to which he wanted his Daughter, Swara to get Married as soon as possible. Moreover, their Pandit had said that Tomorrow was the perfect Auspicious Day for their Marriage, the next one being a year later. This justification had made the Guests calm and they continued gossiping about Shekhar and DP's Friendship etc etc
Amidst the crowd that had gathered t meet Swara, Sanskar could see her. She looked Beautiful as always but her Face was dull clearly showing that she was not happy with the current situation, but Appearances can be Deceptive and he had to find out what was going in her mind. He called out to Laksh who wasn't too happy either. "Laksh..Please Mera ek Kaam Karde. Mujhe Swara se Baat Karna hai Akele Mein. Please Usse Mere Room Mein Bhej Koi bhi Bahane Se." He said. Laksh looked at him doubtful about his intentions. "Nahi Bhai, teri wajah se Maa aur Papa mujhse naaraaz hai. Main aur Madad nahi Karne wala teri." Laksh said angrily. "Laksh Please. Tu khaali Ragini aur Swara ko yeh keh ki woh log upar ke Room mein tayaar hojaye. Please aur uss Ragini ko kisi bahane se Swara se dur kar. Please meri madad kar" Sanskar begged. Laksh didn't want to risk anything but then something struck his mind. He agreed and went over to Swara and Ragini and told them that they could get ready in the upstairs room. They hastily agreed. As both of them were approaching towards the Room, Ragini received a Message and she told Swara that she will join her later and went. Swara entered the Room, proceeding towards the Dressing Mirror. A sudden click of the Door as though it had been shut brought her to her senses. She turned around only to find Sanskar locking the Door. He turned towards her, a Smirk on his Face.
Swara's POV
He stood in front of me with a smirk on his face. I swear to god, I will remove that smile on his face. His sight disgusted me. It brought back the Memories of his Deception. I hate him more than anyone or anything in this world. He is looking at me right now, judging my expressions. I now understand he wants to know whether I am a Harm to him or not. I kept my head down and try to hide my inner feelings of Revenge against him. I act as though I am scared by his presence. He is walking towards me. I start moving back. My eyes start searching for something dangerous in the Room. I can see a Knife kept in a fruit and basket and a glass of water kept on a table. I so want to take the Knife and stab him several times but I stop myself. Killing him will only give him Freedom from this World, I want him to suffer just like I suffered, the Pain that I went through and Death will never be his Punishment. He is still moving forward. My Body touches the wall, I'm blocked. He takes this an advantage and pins me to the wall with his hands. The way he stares at me, I so want to take that knife and plunder his eyes. I act scared. "Why are you so scared Swara?" He asks. I keep my head down and try to ignore his words. Sensing my silence he says "Baby, we are getting Married tomorrow and you are so scared of me." His hand snakes around my waist pulling me more closer to him. His touch disgusts me. " There is no need to be scared." He whispers in my ear. My eyes travel to the table where the glass of water is kept. The table is just beside us. My mind makes a plan to give him some pain. "I should go. Someone will come searching for me" I say slowly my voice filled with fear. "Not so early" He says "First I want to know why did you agree for this Marriage? I hope u have not made any plan against me Swara Gadodia?" He question slyly. I shrug. Oh God! He is doubtful about my intentions. I should be careful otherwise I will be caught. I make myself cry and reply " I did this for my Family, for Ragini" I say "I didn't have any other option. I couldn't let my mistakes effect my Family's Life. I just didn't want my Sister to suffer. So I agreed." He looks at me scornfully. "Is that it?" He asks. I nod my head, wiping my tears. "But since we are Marrying, Let me get this straight Swara. I will have a right on you from now on and you will have no right to stop me. I know whatever happened between us yesterday was wrong. But after this Marriage, u will have no right to stop me. U get it?" He says . I stop myself from taking the knife and killing him right now. How wrong I was in Falling in Love with this bas***d. He doesn't care about anything other than himself. What else can you expect from the Devil. I do not give a reaction to his words. Sensing my reluctance, he pulls me closer to him and cups my face, bringing his face close to mine. Tears flow from my eyes as I remember how yesterday night I Kissed him thinking that he loved me. But now his closeness provokes me to kill him right away. As he attempts to kiss me, I push him slightly and act to fall down near the table. He immediately bends down to see what happened. His hand holds the edge of the table. I distract his attention my saying that I fell due to the heels. He tries to help me. Taking advantage of the situation, I ask for water. His eyes fall on the glass of water. He gives it to me. I purposely leave the glass of water and it falls on his hand. "Aahhh" He screams in pain. I can see his hand bleeding. The glass pieces are piercing his skin and he is shouting in pain. I act concerned. "Sanskar, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." I say " Let me have a look." I pull him up gently and take him to the washroom. Keeping his hand under the tap of water, I purposely switch on the Hot Water tap. As the hot water falls on his already bleeding hand. He screams more in pain. His screams of pain are like pleasant music to my Ear. This is not even half the pain he gave me. "Sorry. Sorry" I say and off the hot water and on the cold water. He calms down. I found a first-aid box and cleaned his wound and bandaged it. "Thank You" was the only thing he said. I nodded and left the Room.
At the exit of the Room stood the person who had given me the actual reason for Marrying Sanskar. "Well Done. I must say Swara you are a very good Actress. Ab Sanskar ko tumme koi shaq nahi hoga" he said. I smiled a little and said "Shaq toh bilkul nahi hoga. Par mujhe ek baat abhi tak Samajh Nahi Aayi Hai...Aap Meri Madad Kyu Kar Rahe Hai? Sanskar toh Aapko Bade Papa maanta hai, Phir Bhi?" I asked. He smiled and replied "Haa Swara, Sanskar considers me his Bade Papa and Loves Me A Lot. But that doesn't mean that I don't Love him. I just want Sanskar to Realize his Mistakes which will not be possible without your Help. By punishing him for his Deeds u will remove the Devil that has made his way into him. I believe you are the only person who can do this." I was stunned that Durga Prasad Maheshwari still thinks that His Son has some Good in Him. "There is no good in him. He was a Devil and will always be one and my job is to DESTROY HIM. Thats it. Once my Revenge is done, I will have no links with your son and this Marriage means nothing to me." I said. "Very Well Swara. I know thar this Marriage for you just means Revenge and don't worry I will never force you to accept Sanskar. Whatever will be your Decision after your work is done will be Respected by Me." He said. "I hope so" I said. He smiled and left. My Mission is only Revenge that's it. Nothing else matters. Getting a grip on my thoughts, I went to find Ragini.
Sanskar's POV
A 'Thank You' was the only thing I could tell her. Looking at my Hand, which had been so calmly bandaged by her, my Heart ached. I had done so wrong to her yet she helped me. I was a fool to doubt her thinking that she has an ulterior motive to Marry me. No, she doesn't. I think she still Loves Me. I hurt her so much yet she Loves Me. This stupid Bet ruined everything. She agreed for this Marriage for her Family. I hurt her soo much. Oh God! Why did I do this to her? I cannot keep myself calm. The way she got concerned on seeing me Hurt makes me Hate Myself. But why am I caring so much for her? I don't Love Her, it was all just acting so that I could fulfill the Bet...Then Why? Why do I feel guilty? I should be happy that I won the Bet. Even though my Family is unhappy with me but still they will Forgive Me. Swara will become my Wife tomorrow. It isn't that bad either. Swara has all the qualities I wanted in my Wife and she is Beautiful as well. Marrying Her is not an issue. But will she accept me after our Marriage? She has to. She will have no other choice than to accept me. Besides, I feel that she still Loves Me so it wont be so tough to handle her. Whatever it is, one thing is sure that Swara has no other motive against me. So I can Marry Her without any complications. At first, I think Things will take time to get adjusted but They Will. Once Swara is Happy with this Marriage, Bade Papa will forgive me. Dont worry Sanskar, Everything will get Right. I just have to worry about Swara now. Hopefully Swara will accept me as her Husband. Lets go and get Engaged now. I smiled happily and left my Room.
