Saku, I was lost in the sheer brilliance of SK's cross examination of an obviously coached Ragini, who must have been asked by Durga Prasad & Lakshya to learn her testimony by rote!
But before that, I was intrigued by the dynamic between Swara and Sanskaar before they enter the courtroom. Swara obviously has started depending on him, when she sees Vic first, she is disappointed and asks for Sanskaar! And the way Sanskaar and Vic had that bet---I think, at this point, Vic reads Swara's reaction to Sanskaar better than Sanskaar himself. Or is it just SK's attempt to close himself behind barricades, not wanting to see the cracks in the wall widening? Hmmm...I wonder! 😛
SK took some pleasure in Swara getting a tad worried at the trial didn't he--as a payback for her not being upfront and cooperative with him earlier. 😛 Man, these two sometimes give a tom & jerry vibe!
I also found very intriguing, Swara's awareness of the way SK looks, dresses, his hairstyle. The way she deduces that the outer aura he portrays is inspired by Vic, but there is an inner pain, an inner darkness, which is what really draws her in, tantalizes her. Is SK also similarly getting drawn to her as yet? I guess he is, but he's trying to keep himself away, isn't he?
Coming back to the courtroom drama---amazingly well written. The scene practically jumped off my lappie screen! I could have been right in the courtroom. I love these courtroom dramas, as I've told you, so I was hanging on to each line, each word. The way SK convincingly created sufficient doubt that Swara may not have been fully in possession of her faculties; and created a feeling, even in Ragini's mind, that Swara could well have been trying to pull the murder weapon out, not shove it in!
He made Ragini confess to her near perjury, very artfully, indeed! Exposed her carefully practised, venomous lies...ugh! What a sister she is!!
Loved this Saku. The pace was exciting. I have a niggling fear, though, that the next chapter will see Durga Prasad pulling a rabbit out of the hat, to get bail denied. I hope I'm wrong. 😕
Viji, this was the chapter I was nervous about, no idea how the court room drama will turn up when I post it. But after reading the response, especially yours, it seems I have managed my threads well...aren't I proud.
Coming to Swara...yes she is depending on him. I would later reveal her past experiences with her family and all...she has never met anyone like SK before, so the attraction is unavoidable. She notices and reads him well.
As for SK, he is emotionally disconnected as I said before. He does feel the pull, he does care a lot more than he should for his "client" but it would take him a lot more time to understand and accept this fact.
Ho! You felt it live? You just made my entire week by saying that! Off I go...to the ninth cloud!!!
SK knows the way Durga operates he knew Ragini would be coached and he was ready for it. We all know what a sister she is, only Swara doesn't realize that.
No, I would pull that rabbit a lot later. Bail is my need at the moment. I want her out, as SK said in the earlier update. So enjoy freely, no rabbits would come up now...but I can't make long promises though😊
Thanks again Viji, I adore your replies you know😳
