Chapter-8

IN THE CAF

Swara and Sanskar were staring at each other when the waiter came in and broke their trance.

Wa- Sir your order.

Sanskar and Swara felt embarrassed

Sa- O...Okay...thanks.

Swara and Sanskar started with their coffee session. They both were trying to ignore each other's mesmerizing eyes as they just ask them to confess their love again and again.

Swara had a bit of coffee, gulped it in and said- Sanskar, tumhe cheeni kam nahi lag rahi hai.

Sanskar had a sip again in order to confirm- Nahi toh Swara. Tum aaj kal zyada sugar lene lag gayi ho. (in a low voice) Isliye aaj kal moti bhi lag rahi ho thodi si.

Sw- Main koi moti voti nahi hui hoon. Voh toh bas... lagta hai inhone sirf meri hi coffee ke saath khunnas (anger) nikaali hai. Waiter!

Wa- yes ma'am?

Sw- Kya aap please thodi si cheeni laa sakte hain?

Wa- Sure ma'am.

She took a sip again and coughed. Suddenly she put her head up as if looking in the sky and tried to breathe (Sanskar's way)

Sa- Timhe aaj bhi yaad hai ye?

Swara got her head down and looked into his eyes- Sanskar main tumhari aur meri ek bhi baat nahi bhooli hoon. (they shared an eyelock)

Waiter- Ma'am aapki cheeni. (they both came out of their trance)

Sw- thank you.

Sanskar's monologue-Kya hai yaar, ghar pe Raksh aur yahan par ye waiter. Sab mujhe tang (irritate) karte hi rehte.

They both had their coffee.

IN AAKASH'S ROOM

Aa- Thanks Uttara. Tum mere saath hamesha hogi ye sunke acha laga.

Ut- Koi baat nahi Aakash.

Aa- Uttara mujhe tumpe sabse zyada bharosa hai isliye apne dil ki baat bol raha hoon. Mukhe asal mein Laksh pe bahut gussa aa raha hai.

Ut- Kyun? Kya kiya hai bhai ne?

Aakash narrated the whole matter to her - Please wada karo tum ye kisiko nahi bataogi. Tumhe meri kasam kyonki main jaan gaya hoon ki main tumhare liye kuch mayne toh rakhta hoon.

Uttar was in a great anger but hearing him say these words made her heart melt. She could not console him anymore as she herself needed consolation. She just nodded.

She was about to leave when Aakash said- Uttara main chahta tha ki aaj tum, Sanskar aur baaki sab humare school aaye. Agar tumhare paas time ho toh?

Ut- Tumhe sach mein acha lagega?

Aa- Haan. Aur tumhare saath wasie bhi I feel good.

Ut- Thanks Aakash. Hum zaroor aayenge.

Uttara left and all Aakash could do was think about Uttara's words again and again trying to find out its meaning and trying to feel the feelings.

IN THE EVENING

IN SARA MUSIC SCHOOL

Swara was having a look in all the classes (there were 10 classes and 2 floors)

Suddenly she heard noises from a class. She went in and said- Kya hua bachon aap itni aawaaz kyon kar rahe ho?

Boy 1- Ma'am humari teacher aaj absent hain. Hum class mein aaye aur ye dono ne ladna shuru kar diya.

Boy 2- Tu chup kar. Ma'am asal mein na ye ladki mujhe bolti hai ki ladkiyaan ladkon se zyada acha gaati hai.

Girl 1- Haan toh sahi hi toh keh rahi hoon. Tum jaise ladkon se toh ka zyada acha hum gaa sakte hain. Ma'am ko hi dekh le.

Boy 2- Tune ma'am ko gaate hue sunn liya?

Girl 1- Toh kya ma'am abhi gaa dengi.

Boy 2- Ma'am toh waise hi accha gayengi.

Girl 1- Tu darr gaya kya?

Boy 2- Acha theek hai agar ma'am Aakash bhaiya se zyada acha gayengi toh tum jeeti aur main ghar tak jaane ke poore raste mein yehi kehta firoonga ki ladkiyaan ladkon se kai zyada acchi hai lekin... lekin agar Aakash bhaiya ne zyada acha gaya toh vice versa.

Girl 1- Done.

All Swara could was to hear their conversation and smile at it but as soon as the conversation took its major turn onto Swara and Aakash then she got a bit nervous.

Sw- Par Aakash bhaiya toh hai hi nahi.

Boy 2- Toh kya aap gao toh sahi Aakash bhaiya apne app aa jayenge. Ma'am kya aap dance bhi karengi thoda sa please ma'am.

She tried to refuse but everybody started pleading her. She could not refuse them anymore and accepted the offer. They played a karaoke of the song Tere Bin (Wazir). At a point she heard someone on the door but ignored as she wanted to focus on her dance. She turned to see Sanskar, Raksh, Ragini, Uttara and Aakash and felt very embarrassed and everybody clapped for her. Aakash came near her and asked- Kya yeh kisi special ke liye tha? (Though he knew the answer i.e. Sanskar)

Swara nodded her head and went to the office- von a mujhe thoda sa kaam hai bachon main abhi aati hoon.

Sanskar's monologue- Isko kya chul (eagerness) padi hai. Usne kara hoga kisiko. Bewakoof (idiot).

Girl 1- iske baad toh Aakash bhaiya ka tikana na mumkin hai.

Boy 2-Voh toh dekhenge.

They told the whole matter to Aakash and Aakash agreed. He sang tu jo mila and all the time he was looking at Uttara.

Chapter-9

As soon as the song ended, the boy and the girl again started to fight.

Boy- Dekha Aakash bhaiya zyada accha gaate hain.

Girl- Haan woh toh hai, Lekin Swara ma'am zyada accha gaati hain.

Boy- Nahi sir.

Girl- Nahi ma'am

The boy and the girl continued to fighth when Uttara interrupted- Acha tumhe dono ka hi gaana acha laga na? (the children nodded) This means ki boys and girls dono accha gaa sakte hain.

They thought and agreed and shaked their hands. Aakash was completely mesmerized by Uttara's actions. Then he took them to the terrace. As the building was high and it was dawn time the view was real beautiful. Uttara and Aakash were staring at each other and were noticed by everyone present there. Sanskar was about to interrupt when Ragini stopped him and Laksh and Raksh dragged him down (though Raksh was not aware of the reason still he was enjoying it.

Aa- Uttara thanks. Aaj agar tum mera saath nahi deti aur mujhe console nahi karti then all this would be so tragic for me.

Ut- Aakash mujhe nahi maloom ki tum kya socho mera aisa bolne par...

Aa- Kya hua Uttara bolo?

Ut- Aakash mujhe lagta hai Swara bhabhi tumhara asli pyaar thi hi nahi.

Aa- Matlab kya hai tumhara Uttara?

Ut- Aakash mera matlab shayad Swara bhabhi tumhare liye sirf ek attraction thi. Look main nahi jaanti ki who tumhara pyaar thi ya nahi par maine unke liye tumhari aankhon mein kabhi who pyar nahi dekha unke liye.

Aakash kept staring Uttara and Uttara was trying to ignore his gaze and looking at the sun setting. They were called by Sanskar from downstairs. They were about to leave when Swara went to Uttara and said- Uttara mujhe tumse kuch baat karni hai akele mein.

Aakash understood the situation and left the place.

Ut- Haan bhabhi bolo.

Sw- Uttara tum use bata kyon nahi deti ho.

Ut- (acting as if not knowing anything) Kya bhabhi, kya batana hai aur kisko?

Sw- Tum jaanti ho main kiske bare mein baat kar rahi hoon! Tum Aakash se itna pyaar karti ho aur fir bhi.

Aakash was moving downstairs when he realized that he had left his phone upstairs and started climbing the stairs.

ON THE TERRACE

Sw- Uttara, this is not done. Tum apna dard kaise chuppa sakti ho.

Ut- Waise hi bhabhi jaise aapne chupaya tha.

Sw- (was speechless but gathered courage) Meri baat alag thi. Meri majboori thi par tumhari kya hai.

Ut- Kya bhabhi main ab use pyaar nahi karti hoon. That's it.

Sw- Tum mujhse chuppa rahi ho?

Ut- Bhabhi main nahi karti hoon use pyaar.

Sw- Tum mere saamne accept karlo aur ro lo please.

Ut- (now completely broken) Haan bhabhi karti hoon main use pyaar. Karti hoon main Aakash se pyaar. Lekin faayda kya? Vo to aapse pyaar karta hai aur vo mujhse kabhi pyaar nahi kar paayega.

Aakash was on the door and heard their conversation.

Aa- Uttara how could you think of me in such a way?

Uttara and Swara TOGETHER- AAKASH!!!!!!!

Aa-Haan main. Uttara tum... kaise? Tumhe maloom hai tum sabse badi fattu (coward) ho. Tum mujhe ek baar bol to sakti thi. Main bhi nahi jaanta tha ki Swara ka jawab kya hoga lekin boli na maine apne dil ki baat.

Ut- Aakash.. (crying badly)

Aa- Uttara rehne do. You don't deserve to speak. Swara tum chalo mere saath neeche sab jaa rahe hain. (indirectly speaking to Uttara) Jisko aana hai vo aa sakta hai.

Aakash ran downwards with tears in his eyes. Swara was about to console Uttara when she also left. Swara was now moving downstairs when laksh came and called her.

La- Problem kya hai tumhari Swara?

Sw- (not looking in his eyes) Matlab kya hai tumhara?

La- Tum mere saath aisa behavior rakho its ok cause I deserve it. Why bhai? I mean I know kit um unse bahut pyaar karti ho and I can see it in your eyes. Aur mujhe ye bhi maloom hai Aakash aur tum sirf dost ho then why? Why are you torturing yourself and him?

Sw- (with a shocked face and teary eyes) Ye tum pooch rahe ho? Jisne meri zindagi kharab kar di, Jisne mujhse mera pyaar chin liya. Aur tum kya baat karte ho pyaar ki main khud ye ailaan karti hoon that I LOVE SANSKAR, I LOVE HIM. (unable to stop herself) Lekin tumne meri zindagi barbaad kardi. Maana mujhe samay laga ye jaan ne mein ki main Sanskar se kitna pyaar karti hoon, ki main uske bina zindagi nahi jee sakti. Toh kya mujhe sapne dekhne ka haq hi nahi hai.tum ne meri zindagi to hell barbaad kardi hai. I HATE YOU.

La- Bhai bhi tumse pyaar karta hai then what's the matter?

Sw- Ab bahut der ho chuki hai Laksh, bahut der.

La- Nahi Swara abhi bhi der nahi hui hai. Bhai aaj bhi tumhari yaad mein rota hai. 5 saal ho gaye hain usko hasse ko aur tum bolti ho der ho gayi hai Swara. (grabs her by her shoulders) Swara bhai ne tumhare intezaar mein aaj tak kisi ko apna nahi banaya. AAJ TAK Swara AAJ TAK. (and left her with a jerk)

Swara was shocked, completely shocked. Why was she doing this drama when her Sanskar was only hers all this time? But what about Ragini? Whose son was with her all this time?

Sw- (in tears) Ragini?

La- She is my wife. Raksh is my son. Ragini and Laksh- Raksh! We are living happily in our small world. Sanskar is all alone. He needs someone. He needs you Swara. He needs you.

Swara left the place at that very instant and ran downstairs. Her eyes were finding Sanskar, HER SANSKAR. She saw him playing with Raksh. Swara went to him and hugged him from the back as tight as she could and started to weep. She didn't care of the surroundings and just got herself lost in that hug. Sanskar could not understand it and said-Swara?

Sw- Sanskar please abhi kuch mat bolna. Aaj sirf mujhe bolna hai please Sanskar please.

Sanskar kept quiet and let her hug him.

Sw- Sanskar main jaanti hoon kit um mujhe maaf nahi kar paaoge. Lekin please, please mujhe maaf kardo. Sanskar I can't mujhe maloom padh gaya hai kit um aur Ragini sirf dost ho. Sanskar please mujhe maaf kardo. I LOVE YOU SANSKAR, I LOVE YOU.

Sanskar could not control himself and made her face him and hugged her. Both of them poured all their love, their stress, their pain in that one hug. All the people including the Maheshwari's watched them. All of them clapped for OUR SWASAN. After what felt like years they parted away. Sanskar wiped her tears and said- Swara main tumhe ek hi shart par maaf karoonga. Tumhe mujhe batana padega ki aisi kya majboori thi jo tum mujhe chod ke hi challi gayi? Bolo Swara.

Swara kept mum. Sanskar- Theek hai toh phir main jaa raha hoon. Swara wanted t stop but answering that question could destroy some relations. Then Laksh came and said- Iska jawab main dunga bhai.

Sanskar, Swara and Ragini and all the Maheshwari's were shocked on hearing this. Swara gestured him to stop but he said- Nahi Swara, aaj bolne do. Aaj nahi bola to 5 saal pehle jaisa ho jayega. Main apna ghar banake tumhara nahi ujaad sakta hoon.

Then he started narrating the whole story and Swara was in tears as she knew Ragini won't be able to bear it. Sanskar was also in tears as for how much he misunderstood Swara and how much his love has felt the pain. Uttara, though was in a broken state, came in front and told the truth how Swara was all these years. Sanskar felt like he was the meanest person of all times to let his love take all the pain on herself. He wanted to hug her and take all her pain but seeing the family he stopped.

Ra- (to Swara) Swara tum humein toh ye baat bata sakti thi. Hum itne kamzor nahi hai Swara. Humare Laksh ji ab humse pyaar karte hain kyonki humne unka saath diya isliye nahi kyonki unhone humein apni zimmedari samjha par Swara tumne toh humein ek bojh samjha. Kyon Swara?

Sw- Ragini main Sanskar ko nahi kho sakti thi aur na hi tumhe. Bas isliye. I am sorry.

They both hugged each other. Sanskar wiped his tears.

Ragini goes to Laksh- Aapne galti ki hai toh saza to milegi. (everyone was shocked but laughed out loud on her very next line) Aapko 5 uthak baithak( sit ups ) aur who bhi kaan pakdhke.

La- main toh abhi shuru ho jaata hun.

Ra- nahi kamre mein.

Rak- Main bhi

They laughed and hugged him too.

Ragini and Laksh hugged each other. Annapurna came in front and said- Swara sabki taraf se hum maafi maangte. Hum mein se koi bhi tumhare dil ki baat samajh hi nahi paaya. Sorry.

Sw- Nahi maa. (wiping her tears) Aap mein se kisi ki koi galti nahi hai. Agar hai toh keval Sanskar ki. (Sanskar was shocked) Aur use uski saza bhi milegi. Usse kabhi meri...
