Chapter 3:
Unknown to all Swara and Ragini was listening to all this. Ragini couldn't bear anymore. She ran to her room and closed the door. Swara who was watching everything smiled a crude smile.
Swara: Aab pata chala Ragini jab apno se jakhm milta hai to kitna dard hota hai? Laksh aab sirf aur sirf tumhara istemal kar raha hai. Yehi to main chahti thi. Aur tadpo Ragini. Par sochne wali baat yeh hai ki tum kuch ulta seedha na kar baitho. Kiyuki mere iss khel ke tum bhi ek mohra ho. Agar tumhe kuch ho gya to mera master plan ka kya hoga! Laksh Maheshwari.. jab tak main tumhara andh na dekh loom tabtak main chain se nehi baithungi.. Wada raha.
Few Days Later
Swara was getting ready when she heard a commotion at the hall. She got a very good contract. A company was ready to give her a chance and launch her music album. She was on her way to studio. Getting curious she went out and found the source. Laksh was shouting at Ragini for some reason and in process lost his temper. He hit Ragini hard and as a result she fell on the floor. She hit her head hard and now was bleeding. Swara's mouth filled up with a bitter bile. It's true that she wanted to take revenge but even that was cruel. Things were getting out of hand. She thought for a moment and went out using the kitchen door.
In the evening after recording when Swara came home she found a furious Laksh waiting for her.
Laksh: Swara aaj tumhara recoding thana? Tumne mujhe batya kity nehi?
Swara: Jaruri nehi samjhi.
Laksh shook his shoulder in exasperation. He had an ugly frown on his face.
Laksh: Dekho Swara aaj tumhara itna bada ek din tha. I don't want miss any important things of your life.
Swara smiled a bittersweet smile.
Swara: Thanks but no thanks. Mujhe apne kaam khud karna jyada pasand hai. Aur waise bhi studiowale kya kehte? Kehte ki Maheshwari naam ke bagye yeh ladki aur kuch nehi kar sakti hai.
Laksh stared at her for few seconds.
Laksh: Tumhe logo ki padi hai? Swara kya fadk padta hai ki log kya kahe ya na kahe? Kya meri emotions koi value nehi hai?
Swara: C'mon. Mujhe fadk padta hai. Yeh meri career ka sawal hai. Iss ke beech yeh behuda emotions ki batein kaha se aa gye? Main bohot thak gyi hoom. Please kuch der tak mujhe disturb mat karna.
Drawing an end to the conversation Swara went before the mirror to wipe her make-ups. For some reason this infuriate and baffled Laksh at the same time. Perhaps the ignorance was hurting his ego. But he was baffled by her behavior. He doesn't know this Swara. Swara had to work hard from keeping the smile out of her face.

That night when everybody was sleeping a figure silently went to the terrace. It was none other than Ragini. She had tolerated enough. She had done everything just for her love. Because she had loved Laksh from the bottom of her heart. She sacrificed every relation, every emotions just for Laksh and what she got in return. She was ready to bear every hatred just for Laksh. She was ready to cross every limits for Laksh. But perhaps she was wrong. Love castle made upon others curses never last long. Even today she had taken the decision to commit suicide just for Laksh. If her death gives solace to Laksh's heart then be it. Just when she brought the bottle poison towards her mouth a hand snatched the bottle from her hand. It was her sister whom she always given nothing but pain.
Ragini: Kiyu roka tumne hame? Mar jane do. Yehi sahi hai.
Instead of answering Swara placed a hard slap on Ragini's cheek.
Swara: Behen kehte ho na mujhe? Aajtak jitney bhi mushkile ayi hai wohsab isslye kiyu ki tum mujhse baat chupati thi. Aaj bhi wahi karne chali thi. Ek baa rake mujhse baat to karke dekhti. Dushman nehi hoom tumhari. Jiteji kabhi tumhara bura nehi chaha maine.
Ragini: Par kiyu Swara? Haam to iss lyek bhi nehi hai.
Swara: Behen ho tum meri. Bas yeh rishta kaafi hai mere lye. Haan naraj hoom tumse par kabhi nafrat nehi kar payi.
Ragini couldn't bear anymore. She just sat there with empty eyes.
Swara: Tum Laksh se pyar karti ho na? To phir aab jo main kehte javum woh dhyan se suno.
Before Swara could proceed Ragini caught her hands.
Ragini: Please Swara please Laksh ji koi ruksan mat pouchana. Main tumse hat jodti hoom.
Swara: Uss insan ne aaj tumpe hat bhi uthaya aur tum usski tarafdari kar rahi ho?
Ragini: Please Swara. Woh pati hai hamari. Pyar karte hai haam usse. Please Swara.
Swara shook Ragini's shoulder hard and set her eyes on hers'.
Swara: Ragini meri taraf dekho. Meri baat dhyan se suno. I promise ki main Laksh ko physically koi ruksan nehi pouchaunga. Par agar tum yeh chahti ho ki Laksh puri tarahse tumhara ban jaye to tumhe meri baat manni padegi.
Ragini stared at her for a moment then squared her shoulder.
Ragini: Kya karna hoga hame?

Next morning came with new promise and hope. Everybody was at breakfast table except Sanskar when Ragini came there with luggage in hand. Every looked at questioning eyes.
Ragini: Main jo kuch bhi kiya hai usske maafi mangungi to bhi bohot kaam hai. Yeh faisla hame bohot pehle le lena chahye tha. Par haam swati ho gye the. Par aab jab sab kuch theek ho gya hai to hame lagta hai ki aab hame yaha se chale jana chahye. Laksh ji ek bohot acche insaan hai jo ek bohot acche jeevan sathi deserve karte hai. Isslye mujhe lagta hai ki aab hame alag ho jana chahye. Haam badi wapas jaa rahe hai. Hame maaf kar dijye. Itna bada faisla hamne aap sabse puche bagay le lya... Par aab jab haam faisla kar chuke hai to ashervaad dijye.
Even with great effort Laksh couldn't hide the smile that spread out on his face. But others couldn't be that happy. Whatever she did, she never misbehaved with them. Always giving respect and love she tried to win their heart. Though she tricked and cleat a lot but all she did was past. She changed a lot in past few days. It was visible in her eyes. But they didn't try to stop because of Laksh. In past few days Laksh had been acting very harsh towards Ragini. May be they will be better once separated. After finishing breakfast she touched everybody's feet and step out of the house.
Once in car she placed her luggage on the backseat. Another person was waiting for her there. She had to work hard to not to scream.
Ragini: Tum yaha?
Person: Kiyu shock laga? Tension ki koi bat nehi hai. Main Swara ke sath hi hoom.
Ragini: Par...
Person: Par war kuch nehi. Aab main tumhe jaha le javunga tumhe wahi jana padega.
Ragini: Par haam to badi jaa rahe the.
Person: Badi nehi Ragini. Haam tumhe tumhari manjil pe le jaa rahe hai.
