Some words do have that almost musical quality to them...which even without knowing the language it belongs to makes you feel the emotion attached to it. "Saudade" would be one of those. I love the word Saudade too...it was lovely at first read, when I first read that word in a Readers Digest list of beautiful foreign words. 😊 "A pleasure you suffer, an ailment you enjoy". 😳 Such a profound meaning, conveying so much bittersweet melancholy and nostalgia.
I love the words "Toska", "Meraki" and "Kairos" too, but I have a special fondness for "Saudade". 😊 It was my dream to write OS'S on SwaSan on the theme of each of these words, and I am so glad that I could do that.
