Swara's spiel on self respect was worthy of what they try to show of Swara- perfectly put and well said Swara, clearly a taunt to Lakshya BUT IMO cleverly done by the CVs to continue the current confusion being spread around about who will end up with whom.
I say this as on one hand you listen to what she says about self respect and can have no doubt that she will never go back to lax Luxji (which I personally don't think she will) but they cleverly feed in the lines about being given a second chance and then leaving the decision of whether or not to forgive on the all powerful Devis 😆. A hint that when Lakshya repents, Swara will feel obliged to offer him a second chance? I think mileage will be got out of this track in the future even if (and I'm pretty sure of this myself) in the end after much soul searching, she will then admit love for Sanskaar.
Coming to double standards, lots of instances:
1. Swara herself- she's still wilfully blind to the fact that her mother's relationship is a total sham on this very basis and each day her mum puts up with a thousand cuts to her self respect, it makes a mockery of singing about its importance (I'm not bashing Swara but am being fair in my assessment of her reasoning or lack of);
2. Sujata- you are at least honest enough to admit you have double standards so I let you off for that bit but seriously woman- get over your stupid prejudices. You have a bengali bahu in your kismet like it or not 😆;
3. Lux- seriously each time I want to try and find something positive in what has been made of this character- I fail miserably. How can he say about Swara that he can't watch her get married to someone else as due to that "woh meri nazaron mein girr jayegi"!! I mean- seriously?! Pot, kettle anyone? Swara should have a new theme song- "Main karoon toh saala character dheela hai"!!
4. Ragini- I don't want to enumerate here as double standards for her are only the tip of the iceberg so what's the point.
In addition, I know they need to create drama and pressure for the wedding but seriously, who plans a wedding in a day and when the bride's mother is so sick (which was good enough reason to postpone RagYa's engagement previously), the solution tomorrow will be that they bring Shomi to her daughter's would be sasural but at no cost can this wedding be postponed?!😕
I'm sure there's more spotted so do chip in!!
PS: Not discussing the yummylicious SwaSan scene as its off topic but if anyone has any doubt there's a major SwaSan track coming up, we probably weren't watching the same show! 😃
