Swara's spiel on self respect was worthy of what they try to show of Swara- perfectly put and well said Swara, clearly a taunt to Lakshya BUT IMO cleverly done by the CVs to continue the current confusion being spread around about who will end up with whom.

I say this as on one hand you listen to what she says about self respect and can have no doubt that she will never go back to lax Luxji (which I personally don't think she will) but they cleverly feed in the lines about being given a second chance and then leaving the decision of whether or not to forgive on the all powerful Devis 😆. A hint that when Lakshya repents, Swara will feel obliged to offer him a second chance? I think mileage will be got out of this track in the future even if (and I'm pretty sure of this myself) in the end after much soul searching, she will then admit love for Sanskaar.

Coming to double standards, lots of instances:

1. Swara herself- she's still wilfully blind to the fact that her mother's relationship is a total sham on this very basis and each day her mum puts up with a thousand cuts to her self respect, it makes a mockery of singing about its importance (I'm not bashing Swara but am being fair in my assessment of her reasoning or lack of);

2. Sujata- you are at least honest enough to admit you have double standards so I let you off for that bit but seriously woman- get over your stupid prejudices. You have a bengali bahu in your kismet like it or not 😆;

3. Lux- seriously each time I want to try and find something positive in what has been made of this character- I fail miserably. How can he say about Swara that he can't watch her get married to someone else as due to that "woh meri nazaron mein girr jayegi"!! I mean- seriously?! Pot, kettle anyone? Swara should have a new theme song- "Main karoon toh saala character dheela hai"!!

4. Ragini- I don't want to enumerate here as double standards for her are only the tip of the iceberg so what's the point.

In addition, I know they need to create drama and pressure for the wedding but seriously, who plans a wedding in a day and when the bride's mother is so sick (which was good enough reason to postpone RagYa's engagement previously), the solution tomorrow will be that they bring Shomi to her daughter's would be sasural but at no cost can this wedding be postponed?!😕

I'm sure there's more spotted so do chip in!!

PS: Not discussing the yummylicious SwaSan scene as its off topic but if anyone has any doubt there's a major SwaSan track coming up, we probably weren't watching the same show! 😃

Second chance today I think was about giving second chance to the relationship they are in and that is marriage

She would advice the same to lakshay after truth revelation most probably

But you never know 😆

But i dont care anymore if swaragini is giving me swasan then its ok if not then tata bye bye

Its matter of few more weeks it would be clear wheyher its swasan or swalak

Vaise I started watching this show for varun only but I would leave it for sanskar 😆 ( if he does not get his love)

that sbs segment showing swara crying...and waiting for laksh to know the truth and stop the wedding...

for once i'm going to be happy if laksh displays his lack of brains and does not come to know the truth at all...maybe then well and truly swara will let go of his memories as well...and start appreciating sanskaar.

today's scene of her screaming at sanky for saving her was irritating...i mean thanks bol deti...she did not have to scream at him for helping her. i know she is scared to fall in love again and all that...but still...she is treating him very badly...all he did was say i love you...and he is the only one helping her...wo help nahi karta...toh were would u be swara?😕 granted he committed a crime against u...but he watched over u and fought for u much more than it was necessary...i think he is redeemed. be grateful for what u have...and please stop doing your mahanata. i mean all your greatness crap has got u nowhere at all...u have proved nothing in the two months that have come and gone...so maybe u should follow sanskaar's footsteps and fight fire with fire. wo koi vela guy nahi hai who will run around like lucky behind you.😡

and as for ur double standards wala points...everyone in the show has them...and mostly swara...and daadi.

dida and sanky are the only ones who don't have them...and dp is learning too.

@bold- fab point! And I think your totally right on that- I can see her saying that and I think it will be that she will forgive Lakshya but not accept him again as that ship has sunk a long time ago.

Sanskaar/ Varun- makes the show for me too, totally the best fleshed out and so far consistent character in this show.

I wanted to add that speaking of second chances, didn't Sanskaar ask for one this morning? He was giving her those looks throughout her speech at the dining table. Swara needs to consider:

That Sanskaar apologized and asked for another chance to be friends again, shouldn't she give him that?
That she advised Parineeta that staying apart is not the solution and problems must be tackled by coming together - why doesn't she do this with Sanksaar? Why doesn't she discuss their current issue/confession drama and find a solution for it? It is clear she is disturbed by it too

I felt she was also giving Sanskaar indirect hints that whether to forgive or not is her prerogative and that she needs time to consider things. Perhaps it was also an indication that he shouldn't push her or try to keep confronting her at the moment and give her space. I bet Sanskaar got this message loud and clear.

In this instance though she is wrongly labeling his love as betrayal and I totally agree with Sanskaar here that she's insulting his feelings, which is so unlike Swara. He is willing to put everything aside and try to be friends again! That scene was really cute, it's like when friends fight and one friend wants to make up and say let's be friends again. I hope Swara will soon play along!

Was it my imagination or did her words have an impact on Lakshya too? For once he was really into what she was explaining and I wonder if this is slowly setting the stage for him realizing once again why he loved her in the first place. You're right, this second chance vs. self-respect track would be quite interesting to watch. But second chance and forgiveness aren't necessarily the same. She may forgive Lakshya and give him a second chance, but as what? A friend or a lost love? I don't know if her self-respect will allow her to even consider him as a friend again, never mind love. He would have to perform a major miracle of sorts to deserve such consideration.

Speaking of Sujata, she justified her prejudices but by the end she still sounded like she was desperately trying to hold on to her stubborn stance of not having a Bengali bahu. 😆

I seriously have given up on Shomi and her "good for nothing", "deserves to be kicked" waste of space human being of a husband! Why Swara why? 😆 I don't get it at all! When it comes to this guy self respect word seems to just not exist in both mother and daughter's dictionary*Facepalm*

Lakshya and his dialogues just make me wanna dabaa his gala! The neverve of that guy I swear! What is wrong with that guy! Gone loona I'm telling you . Someone please isko pyaar ka matlab bataado yaar. A good 24 hours of Sahrukh/Salman movie dose should do him a lifetime's good.

And Sujata! 😆 Can never predict if she's gonna be on our side or not.Kabhi yahaan toh kabhi wahaan! Make up your mind lady!🤔

Swara and her mahaanta! Girl you need to behave like a normal human being. I mean come on! It's *cough* Sankaar *cough*HoTTT!*cough*😆

Hey Medha! @bold- OMG, that has been annoying me all day 😆. I totally want Lux to be brain starved and not "save" her- totally agree that she needs to cut those ties. I sort of hoped that they would show a sort of closure scene between SwaLak from that insta pic Helly posted? But me thinks I expect too much!

Oh I thought the SwaSan scene showed how much she's affected by him- each time they show a desi heroine get OTT (irritatingly) hyper to a guy in love with her, she's going to so fall madly deeply forever in love with the same guy- its the tried and tested formula. Sanskaar as ever didn't let me down- he was so steadfast when he said stop insulting my love 👏 and I loved his maturity of inviting her to forget it all. I so want them to end this pointless angry/ fighting track- serves no purpose!

Well everyone is expecting to see SwaSan as the final couple after Swara said that the most important thing in a girl's life is self respect. But as you said on the other side she also said that everyone deserves a second chance in his/her life.
Well i'm just keeping my fingers crossed and waiting for the marriage's day to see what cvs has in store for is 😆

@medha, that scene was symbolic in that even if she were falling in love with Sanksaar, or falling anywhere else for that matter, he would always be there to catch her. 😃
