Chapter 26
Sanskaar stops his car in front of baadi: kia zarorat thi ragini tumhay aisi kisi jaga pai janay ki? Wo bhi iss state mai? Kisi ko bhi gusa aye ga laksh toh phir bhi tumsay be-inteha pyar karta hai.
Ragini looked at him and burst out sobbing. With both her hands she covered her face: ap bhi humay daant rahay hain? (She paused) hum hi buray hain sari galti humari hai. Hum apkay aur swara kai beech mai sab kuch theek karna chahtay thy hum laksh ko khush karna chahta thay. Jab bhi hum kuch acha karnay jatay hain toh sab ulta hojata hai.
Ragini cried more. And sanskaar sighed thinking "swara ko jab sab yad ajaye ga aur usko pata chalay ga kai uski choti behan itna roi aur usko danta toh madam sherni ki tran mujhpai hi hamla kardai gi"
Sanskaar: acha bass.. Itna ro mat please. Itna rona acha ni hai for you aur meri bhateeji keliye bhi .
Ragini made a face: ap laksh jaisi batein mat keejay apko kia pata larka hai ya larki.
Sanskaar took out his hankie and forward it to ragini
Ragini: ap har kisi ko apna rumaal ku daitay rehtay hain?
Sanskaar laughed: yeh adat swara sai aai hai. Usko ronay keliye mera hi kandha aur mera hi rumal chai hota hai
He looked down, ragini stopped crying and put her hand on his shoulder: ap chinta mat keejay kabhi kabhi toh sab theek hoga hi.
Sanskaar smiled and ragini smiled too

Laksh in anger stormed into his room and stood in the middle of it while remembering how ragini was singing on the stage and dancing and a guy who mis behaved with her . Laksh gritted his teeth
Laksh: sab kuch bikhar raha hai.
Laksh went near the dressing table and angrily wiped the things from it throwing them on floor. He looked at his reflection in the mirror as ragini's laughter echoed in his ears.
Laksh: ku ragini ku...
He punched the mirror which showed him ragini's memories running in front of him.
Swara entered the room and saw the mess: laksh? Yeh sab kia hai?
She asked with concern
Laksh tightly closed his eyes.
Swara came near laksh and put her head on his shoulders back. Laksh turned abruptly and showed his hands to swara signalling her to move away.
Laksh: swara please. Office ki koi tension hai please mujhay akela chordo.
Swara angrily: what is wrong with you laksh? Mai jab bhi tumharay kareeb ati hoon toh tum mujhy aisay rudely peechay kardaity ho? Problem kia hai? Meri sahi batein bhi ab tumhay galt lagti hain? Aek wakt tha jab meri galt baton mai bhi tum mera sath daitay thay . Ab aisa kia hogya hai laksh aisa kia hogya jo tum badal gaye ho? Tum meray lucky ni ho tum toh laksh maheshwari bangaye ho .
Laksh who already was angry looked up at swara and was about to say her something when he imagined ragini standing behind swara who shook her head signalling him not to say anything.
Swara saw him looking at back she turned around and saw nothing. Swara made a disgusted face and held lakshs collar: tum meray sath aisa sab nahi karsaktay laksh . Bohat howa
Swara moved to the cupboard and took out her bag: mai ja rai hoon apni maa baba kai ghar.
Laksh: par waha toh ragini hai .
Swara looked at him
Laksh: i mean bhai aur wo hai
Swara: toh kia ab un dhokay baaz logo ki waja sai mai apny maa baba kai paas bhi ni reh sakti? And seriously laksh mai iss roz roz ki larai sai tung agai hoon.
She packed her stuff and went out while laksh stood there.
Baadi
Shomi had her hands on ragini's eyes covering it
Ragini: maa yeh ap kia kar rai hn humay kaha laiky ja rai hn?
Shomi: shhh ragu tu chal toh sahi
Shekhar dadi, dada and sanskaar stood in the hall.
Ragini: maa ab bas kholiye na ankhein
Shomi took her hand off her eyes and ragini opened her eyes to see the same doll house she liked in the shop in front of her. Sanskaar stood beside the doll house. Ragini smiled fully
Ragini: yeh toh
Sanskaar: wohi ghar hai jo tumhay pasand aya tha. Ab maheshaari family ka pehla grand child hai uski toh har farmaish puri hogi.,
Ragini had tears in her eyes, sanskaar came and put his arm around ragini's shoulder reassuring her
Sanskaar: smile karo achi dikhti ho.
Ragini put her hand on sanskaar's hand which was on her shoulder when swara who stood at the door saw it. She felt angry and she didn't know why. Ragini's hand on sanskaar's hand wasn't something she liked
Swara thought "inko kareeb dekh kai mujhay itna bura ku lagta hai"
Swara: Bohat pyar hai pati patni mai?
Sanskaar ragini and everyone looked at the door and at swara standing there.
Shekhar: swara beta tum yahan?
Shomi: shona tu iss wakt yahan?
Swara coming inside while her eyes never left sanskaar
Swara: ku? Aek dhokay baaz beti yahan reh sakti hai uska master planner pati yahan reh sakta hai. Toh kia apnay maa baba sai milnay bhi ni asakti.
Shekhar eyes shomi: ni beta tum zaror asakti ho. Beeti baton ko bhula doo
Swara: isliye shaid yahan aai hoon. Socha kuch din ap dono kai sath reh loon.
Swara passed sanskaar and ragini and deliberately nudged her shoulder with ragini's as she faltered and sanskaar held ragini's hand
Sanskaar: sambhal kai ragini
Ragini looked at swara with tears in her house.
Swara: bohat thak gai hoon mai. Ragini toh apnay kamray mai hi reh rai hogi toh mai guest room mai chali jati hoon.
Sanskaar looked at ragini tensed and before he could say anything
Laksh: tum dadi maa kai sath room share karsakti ho if you want it swara.
Ragini looked at laksh while he looked away still being angry.
Swara: laksh tum yahan?
Laksh came towards swara: i am sorry for the way i spoke with you.
Swara was shocked: its okay magar tum idhr?
Laksh: maine socha mai bhi tumharay sath thoray din yahan reh lo. Shaid mind devert hojaye.
She nodded.
Ragini smiled a bit "ab hum laksh ko mana saktay hain"
Dadi: to ab tum sab jao apny apny kamray mai ja kai aram karo.
Ragini got uneasy and sanskaar signalled her to calm
Sanskaar: chalo ragini
He held ragini's hand while laksh looked at sanskaars hand holding ragini's hand in his . He felt shattered and sealed his lips not to react
Sanskaar and ragini turned to go
While laksh looked at their backs with tears in his eyes.
"Paas ayeee
Duriyan phir bhi kum na howi"
Swara held laksh's wrist: chalo laksh.
Laksh still looked at the way ragini was going but not with him.
"Ik adhuriii si humari kahani rahiii"
Ragini turned to look at him and a tear skipped through laksh's eyes
"Asamaan ko zameen
Yeh zarori nahi
Jaan lai"
Once inside the room. Sanskaar was about to close the door when he saw swara taking laksh in the opposite room
"Ishq sacha wohi
Jisko milti nahi
Manzalein
Manzalein"
Swara looked at sanskaar but as the anger took over her she closed the room door, sanskaar did the same.
Ragini opened the window and laksh did the same. Both looked straight into each other's eyes. Ragini raised her hand up and acted to wipe laksh tears. Laksh wiped his tears and then by finger signalled her not to cry and joined his hands to show her to sleep.
Ragini let out a sob as she tried to smile
"Humari adhuri kahaniii
Hunari adhuri kahanii"
In room
Sanskaar stood near the door and ragini stood opposite to the bed.
Sanskaar looked at ragini while she fidgeted with her sari's pallu in nervousness while lookind down and remembered
(Sanskaar to swara: tum bed pai sojana and mai yahan sofay pai sojaon ga
Swara: par kamra toh tumhara hai
Sanskaar: par larki toh tum ho
Swara smiled: haan wo toh mai hoon. Thank you sanskaar meri madad karnay keliye tum yeh sab kar rahay ho)
Sanskaar coming back to reality he cleared his throat : tension lainay ki itni koi baat ni hai. Mai yahan zameen pai sojaon ga tum bed pai sojao
He smiled
Ragini: humay yeh sab bilkul pasand ni araha. Aur ap zameen pai aur hum bed pai kaisay? Ap swara kai pati hn ap zameen pai kaisay soein gai
Sanskaar: tum bed pai isliye so gi because you are expecting iss halat mai how can you lay down on the floor. You have to sleep on bed
Ragini: nahi hum bed is traf soein gai ap bed kai uss traf sojai jaga
Sanskaar: ragini meri baat mano zid mat karo.
Ragini: sanskaar hum zid ni kar rahay ap kar rahay hain.
Before sanskaar could sai anything. Ragini put her hand on her stomach as she felt pain

His face colours went away

Sanskaar came towards ragini and make her sit on bed: omg omg mai kia karo? Ambulance bulao? Ni ni ... Phir? Gari nikalo? Lucky ko haan lucky ko bulata ho . Hospital jana hoga na
Sanskaar in panicked was about to go when ragini held his arm.
Ragini: hum theek hain

Sanskaar shook his head and then looked at ragini as he understood what she meant. He wiped the sweat off his forehead

Sanskaar hugged her from back and put his arms around her waist while his hands rested on her bloated stomach

Suddenly swara shouted a bit
Sanskaar: kia howa? Are you fine? Kuch pain horaha hai? Chal sakti ho ya uthao? Doctor kai paas chalein ya unko yahan bulaein
Swara turned around placing her hand on his mouth: shhh bohat boltay ho tum. Tumhara beta football khel raha hai
She smiled excitingly . And sanskaar couldn't believe it he kissed swara on her cheek.
Present
Sanskaar: you know ragini it was a boy
Ragini smiled : hum jantay hain humay swara nai btaya tha . Wo bohat khush thi . Akhir usko aek beta hi chai tha bilkul apki tran.
Sanskaar nodded: baby ko toh hum kabhi dekh hi ni paye aur uskai sath sath sabki khushian bhi chali hai
Ragini held sanskaar's hand: meri laksh ki beti bhi toh apki aur swara ki hi hogi. Aphi log sambhalein gai usay.
Sanskaar nodded and looked at her: lucky ko bulao?
Ragini: iss wakt jaein gai toh humari behan ap pai baras paray gi.
Sanskaar: its terrible meri aur swara ki waja sai lucky aur tum iss khushi ko inn moments ko sahi sai celebrate bhi ni karpatay.
Ragini: koi baat ni shaid yahi humari kismat hai ... Ouchhh

Swara got up to drink water. She went to the kitchen and took a bottle, as she was coming back to her room. Ragini's room window was opened, swara moved ahead to get shocked as she saw sanskaar sleeping on floor and ragini sleeping on the other side of bed.
Swara: toh yeh natak chal raha hai?
The history was repeating itself. Swara webt to her room and waked laksh up: laksh uthooo
Laksh opened his eyes: whats wrong swara?
Swara: utho mujhy kuch dekhana hai chalo meray sath.
Swara held laksh's hand and took him to ragini's room and opened her door. Laksh saw sanskaar and ragini sleeping on opposite side of floor.
Swara: dekha tumnay? Yeh log shadi shuda hai par aek sath ni sotay? Ku?
Laksh: aek sath toh hum bhi ni sotay
Swara was hurt: shut up laksh. Par humari shadi ka poray parivaar ko pata hai. Inki tran ni inki shadi ka toh kisi ko ni pata kab hui kaha hui. Aur tum inn jhotay logo keliye humaray rishty ki bexati kar rahay ho
Swara went in and threw the water on sanskaars face. Sanskaar jerked up
Sanskaar: what daaa...
Ragini opened her eyes to see laksh and swara standing she got up.
Ragini: laksh ap? Swara yahan??
Swara: tum chup karo . Aek aur jhoot ni suno gi mai
Sanskaar got up and he was angry: what non sense? Swara yeh kia batameezi hai?
Swara: batameezi? Tum dono ki toh shadi hochuki hai na toh bs itna bta doo shadi kai bawajod bhi alag so rahay ho zameen pai sorahay ho? Ku?
Sanskaar: apni hadh mai raho
Ragini came towards sanskaar: sanskaar janay deejay gusa mat keejay
Sanskaar: ragini tum shaant raho
Ragini looked at laksh with pleading eyes.
Swara: mujhy koi matlb ni hai apni hadein cross karnay ka. Bs yeh btao ky shadi hui bhi thi ya shadi kai begair hi sath reh rahay ho.
Laksh: enough swara behuda batein band rakho
Sanskaar: hum kaisay bhi rahein tumhay kia? Kahin tum jealous toh ni horai?
Swara: apni aukat mai raho sanskaar mai tumsay ku jealous hongi? Aur agr shadi hui hai toh saboot kahan hai? Koi photo koi marriage certificate kuch toh hoga. Yeh mangalsutra galay mai latka lainay sai shadian ni hoti madam ragini. Aur ab mai tum dono ko poray parivaar ko aur dhoka dainay ni du gi.
Sanskaar: swara mai tumhay warn kar raha ho
Swara went to dressing table and took the sindoor box: theek hai picture khichwai ni hogi marriage certificate bna ni hoga. Meri tasali keliye sanskaar abhi isi wakt ragini maang bhar doo mai aek lafz ni bolo gi. Shadi ki hai toh mang bharnay mai kia hai
Ragini got scared and started to sweat a lot. Laksh looked tensed
Swara: mai keh rai thi na laksh yeh jhoot bol rahay hn. Koi shadi ni hoi hai. Abhi sabko btati hoon.
Sanskaar: rukoo
Ragini looked at sanskaar shocked
Sanskaar took a pinch of sindoor and turned around ragini. Laksh couldn't believe as his eyes got bigger. Ragini moved back
Ragini: sanskaar yeh? Ap?
Sanskaar stopped and turned around too: aek minute swara. Mai sindoor daal du ga par aek shart hai lucky ki bhi sindoor dalna hoga .
Swara: humari shadi tumhari shadi ki tran mazak ni hai.
Sanskaar: par maine shadi hotay howay dekhi toh ni thi na. So ask lucky to do it now
Swara got confused and turned towards laksh . Laksh looked at sanskaar as he understood why he did it
Laksh: mujhay kisi ko kuch bhi prove karnay ki zarorat ni hai swara. Stop these childish games.
Suddenly ragini felt as if her world was tilting . She faltered and laksh ran to support her.
Laksh: ragini???
Sanskaar held ragini, and ragini as she saw swara looking at them pushed laksh away. Laksh hot hurt, sanskaar took ragini to bed
Ragini: hum theek hain.
Sanskaar turned to look around at swara: Get out...
Swara stood there
Sanskaar: nowww
Swara stomped her foot and went out taking laksh with her.
Later
Laksh sat on the window while he saw his wallet and ragini and his picture in it. They were so happy, he smiled a bit
"Dard mai bhi yeh lab

Laksh kissed the picture and hugged his wallet reminiscing his and ragini's time period from starting to beginning

Laksh opened his eyes as he remembered

Ragini: LAKSH APKO HUMARI KASAM . Apko swara ka sath daina hoga. Wo jaan hai humari agr usay kuch bhi hogya toh hum jee ni paein gai mar jaein gai" )
Laksh opened his eyes as ragini's voice echoed : mai tumhari kasam toh ni tor sakta . MAGAR MAI JANTA HOON AB MUJHAY KIA KARNA HAI
He took out his phone: hello mr bakshi?
Later
The lights were gone . Sanskaar went out and saw swara standing in front if the window in her room. While laksh wasnt there.
Sanskaar went inside it was too dark to recognise anyone.
Swara still looking out: laksh tumnay undono kai samny meri insult karkai acha ni kia
Sanskaar went more closer to her
Swara: mai koi jan bojh kai yeh ni karti pata ni mujhy itna gusa ku ajara hai
Sanskaar was just an inch apart from swara. He put his hands around her waist. And swara closed her eyes, his touch felt so right
Swara: tum yeh kia kar rahay ho?
Sanskaar put his finger on her lips as he planted a kiss on her neck. Tears skipped through his eyes and fell on her shoulder
Swara: i am sorry laksh wo
Sanskaar opened his eyes and sighed . He turned her around
Sanskaar: i miss you
Swara got startled, she ran towards the side table to take the candle as she turned the light came back and no one was there.
She touched her neck as she remembered the kiss . She was confused
At terrace
Laksh stood near the edge . Sanskaar and ragini came
Sanskaar: lucky tunay iss wakt yahan ku bulaya?
Laksh turned around and came towards them.

Ragini cried and moved towards laksh holding his both hands: hum jantay hain ap humsay gusa hain naraz hain. Chahein toh ap humsay naraz hi rahiye bilkul baat keejay. Chila leejay kuch bhi karleejay magar humay khud sai dur mat keejay please laksh
Sanskaar turned around feeling helpless. So many people have to suffer. Why was destiny doing this
Laksh held ragini by her arms: shhh mera bachaaa aisay rotay ni hain. Yeh meray liye bhi asan ni hai .. Magar sanskaar bhai tumhara bohat achay sai khyal rakhein gai. Aur teen mahinay ki toh baat hai ..
Ragini cried and shook her head: nahin laksh humay ni jeena... Please humay dur mat keejay khud sai
Laksh cupped her face and planted a kiss on her forehead and inhaled the scent of hers: tum toh dil mai rehti ho, dharkan mai rehti ho. Tumsay dur kahan honga. Tumharay paas raho ga
Both of them cried as ragini hugged him tightly and he hugged her back
