Ragini touched her stomach and smiled. She was in a white churidaar, her hair open flowing with the wind. An 8 months pregnant ragini opened the windows of her room. She was away from her family , her maa baba, her sister swara and then Laksh

She swayed with laksh's picture in her left hand while her one hand rested on her stomach protecting her baby.

Ragini hugged the picture, today she was happy . A lot more than happy, ragini revolved and tripped
"LAKSH" she called out
Two pairs of arms supported her, she opened her eyes just to see sanskaar with his sweet smile on his face.

Ragini smiled as sanskaar turned around to hide his tears. Ragini walk towards the table and hold another frame and bring it in front of sanskaar as he was looking down ragini showed it from beneath . And sanskaar's tear fell on swara's photo frame .

Swara who was sitting in front of her dressing table felt her cheek wet. She touched it and there was nothing, she look up at her reflection and saw sanskaar behind doing a thumbs up sign. She got up and saw that there was no one

Swara made an angry face
Swara: yeh sab uss laksh ki waja sai howa hai. Teen mahinay mai usnay sabit kardia hai kai hum dono ki shadi aek galti thi. Apny apko har wakt office mai busy rakhta hai. I try but koi response ni daita. Mai toh uski life mai decoration piece ki tran reh gai hoon huh
Her eyes welled up : meri bhi koi feelings hain, mujhay support chai
Swara opened her eyes to see a hankie in front of her, she saw side ways to see sanskaar giving it to her. She kept looking at him and suddenly he faded away
'Dil mai ho tum fikar bankai'

Laksh typed on his laptop non-stop. He looked at his phone ringing showing
"Swara calling"
Laksh paid no heeds and resumed working.
His word document showed an image of ragini on it.
Laksh: i know you are not real, just my imagination.
He smiled
Laksh: par agar imagination tum ho toh ni chahta kai yeh imagination khatam ho.
His phone ringed again and this time it flashed
"Sanskaar bhai"
Laksh smiled and took the call
Laksh: bhai kaisa hai tu?
Sanskaar: lucky good news hai
Laksh stood up as his heart beat raised from its level
Sanskaar: lucky hum wapis arahay hain
Laksh couldn't believe
Sanskaar: dupehar tak phonch jaein gai. And trust me ragini ko dekh kai tu khush honay wala hai itna khyal rakha hai kai kha kha kai mota kardia hai
Laksh smiled he couldn't form words
Laksh cut the call and went to his table and opened the drawer to see ragini and his picture. He took it touched ragini's face
'Aj unsay milna hai humay

He danced around his office room with the frame
Laksh: i cant believe ragini tum wapis arai ho

Laksh put the frame back locked the drawer and hummed 'aj unsay milna hai' and went out just to face swara
Swara eyed him: bohat khush lag rahay ho? Waja jaan sakti hoon?
Laksh grabbed swara by her shoulders and revolved around
Laksh: i am so damn happy. Swara tum suno gi toh tum bhi khush hojao gi
Swara stopped him: not interested! Mera phone ku ni utha rahay thy? Maa ny kaha hai humay kisi relative kai ghar kuch saman drop karna hai kindly dont waste my time and chalo
Laksh calmed himself down: sorry mai ni asakta mujhy thora kaam hai. Tum chali jao na please
Swara: tum toh meri understanding sai bahar hochukay ho .
Swara went.
Laksh: chal laksh baadi chaltay hn...
Air port
Sanskaar got down from the stairs and held out his hand to ragini. Ragini took it for support she was equally happy. Both sanskaar and ragini stepped down.
Swara stopped when she felt the wind touched her face and lipped 'sanskaar'
Laksh was about to go inside baadi when he stopped and smiled realising 'ragini tum agai'
Sanskaar put his arm around ragini's shoulder and made her walk
'Murli ki taano si
Vaidon purano si
Mohan ki geeta kai jaisay tum'
Ragini looked around and smiled. She looked up in the sky
Laksh did the same and smiled
'Tumsay hai sachai
Tumsay hai achai
Tulsi ki seeta kai jaisi tum'
Swara shove off the thought and went ahead when she heard sujata talking
Sujata on phone: sach sharmishta ji mara chora sanskaar wapas araha hai. Aur ragini bhi? Aj hi .. Maari khushi ka toh thikana na sai. Mai bas baadi phonchti hoon.
Swara hided behind the wall as sujata ran out
Swara: matlab sanskaar ayr ragini wapis agaye hn
A part of her smiled and a part of her didnt wanted to be bothered.
Sanskaar helped ragini sit inside the taxi but suddenly they heard a gun shot. Ragini came out scared and held sanskaar's arm
Ragini: sanskaar yeh kia awaz thi
Sanskaar: calm down ragini kuch howa hoga tum chalo na betho
Ragini: sanskaar pata ni ku humay laksh ko dekhna hai
Sanskaar: ragini toh baadi hi toh ja rahay hn
Ragini shook her head
Ragini: ni sanskaar abhi isi wakt
Ragini said stubbornly and sanskaar patted her back
Sanskaar: acha acha relax ruko baat karata hoon
Sanskaar dialled laksh's cell but it couldn't reach
Ragini was getting impatient she breathe in and breathe out when suddenly she felt excruciating pain in her stomach
Ragini took the taxi's support: ahhh
Sanskaar look at her at the same time laksh picked it up
Sanskaar: ragini kia howa
Ragini tried to control: hos... (She tried to form words but couldn't as the pain was a lot)
Laksh who heard it got panicked: bhai kia howa ragini ko? Bhai?? Bhai kuch bol naaa?
Laksh ran out of the baadi
Sanskaar on phone: laksh jaldi hospital aja mai ragini ko airport kai paas walay nursing home lai ja raha hoon .
Laksh so scared that he didnt hear what shekhar or shomi said and ran towards his car.
2 hours later
Hospital
Ragini laid on the stretcher outside the operation theatre.
Sanskaar: ragini zid mat karo . Baby keliye dangerous hai . Go get the treatment
Ragini in pain: ni...
She cried
Ragini: laksh ko bulaiyee
She held sanskaar's hand and crushed it as the pain imcreased
Ragini: unsai baat karni hai phir aur kuch
Ragini shouted
Later
Sanskaar: doctor iski injection dai deejay.. Please just take her
Ragini cried: nahinnn
The doctor and nurse started to take her inside and ragini tried to grab sanskaars hand when another hand grabbed her hand. Ragini knew the touch she smiled even in her pain
Ragini: laksh
Laksh look at her: pagal ho? Treatment ku ni kara rai?
Ragini: laksh agr humay
Laksh: shhh
He planted a kiss on her forehead
Ragini: ap bohat achy (she paused as she was tired)
She whispered but it could be heard by laksh and sanskaar's both
Ragini: papa bnay gai
And the door closed . Laksh looked at sanskaar and both brothers hugged each other
Sanskaar: lucky tension mat lai, teray baby bilkul theek hoga
Laksh sat on the chair: ragini theek honi chai bas. Jaan hai meri.
5 hours later
Laksh and sanskaar kept walking . Laksh was in tension
Laksh: bhai bohat dair horai hai. Itna wakt ku lag raha hai
Sanskaar: bhai itna wakt toh lagta hi hoga na
Sanskaar was himself tensed. Both stopped as the doctor came out.
Laksh was scared Sanskaar put his hand on his shoulder
Doctor: calm down mr maheshwari ap itna darr ku rahay hn
Laksh: wo its 8 months. Woh the baby didnt harmed my ragini na? Ragini theek hai na
Sanskaar: laksh kia bol raha hai
Laksh: ragini kai sath hi har khushi hai uskai bina kuch bhi ni
Doctor smiled: mr laksh apki wife bilkul theek hain. She is conscious and resting. Congratulation you are blessed with a baby girl . Apko beti hui hai
Laksh couldn't believe , sanskaar who got so happy hugged laksh
Sanskaar: congrats lucky . Teri beti hui hai.
Laksh stayed stunned
Sanskaar: doctor kia hum mil saktay hn
Dr nodded and sanskaar held laksh's hand and moved inside.
Laksh entered and ragini looked up with a smile on her face

(Ragini came in her pink engagement dress with her dadi and for the first time saw laksh , he was in his cream colour marwari sherwani. Ragini looked at him and then looked down)
Laksh saw the baby wrapped in a pink towel. If something like first sight love excited then this was it. A father and daughter love so pure. The nurse was holding his and ragini's daughter in her arms. As the baby girl moved her eyelid, laksh felt as a butterfly touched his heart. 'His daughter' he was a father now. He saw ragini with tears in his eyes and ragini cried as she knew how happy laksh was
Yeh moh moh ke dhagay
Teri ungliyo sai ja uljhay
(Laksh came out from gadodia house and saw ragini hiding behind the window. She peeked and saw him and then hided again)
Tu hoga zara pagal

Sanskaar made laksh move ahead towards the left side of ragini's bed

Ragini saw laksh as he was quite, she held his hand
Nurse: ma'am yeh leejay apki baby
Ragini in a tired tone: baby sabsay pehlay apnay papa kai paas jana chahti hai.
Nurse nodded and forwarded the baby. Laksh covered his mouth with both of his hands, ragini signalled him to pick her
Laksh: yeh bohat choti hai
Ragini: hum madad karein gai
Laksh forwarded his hand which were trembling but as he was about to pick his baby. The front door opened and swara stood their with whole maheshwari and gadodia family. Ragini looked at swara and held sanskaar's hand
Sanskaar saw swara and then looked at ragini.
Nurse: leejay na sir
As sanskaar raised his hands, laksh took his hands back.
Sanskaar took the doll in his arms and look at her. She was an angel
Swara moved towards the left
Sujata pushed laksh a bit back as she saw the baby . Shomi and shekhar were beside sanskaar.
Laksh moved to the opposite side and stood beside ap dp parineeta and adarsh .
Sujata: jiji dekha apnay? Bhaisa dekho toh yeh kitni pyari hai.
Annapurna had tears of happiness in her eyes. She was dying to take her grand daughter in her arms
Dp smiled looking at the first hire of maheshwari's. Laksh who was heart broken look at sujata playing with his baby.
Ragini had tears and thought 'humay maaf kardeejay laksh ap aek baar apni beti ko pakar bhi na paye'
Sujata: maari poti ...
Shomi looked with guilty eyes towards laksh.
Sujata gave the baby back to sanskaar: mai thari aur ragini ki tum dono ki beti kai sath aek tasveer khechti hoon
Swara looked at ragini and then moved towards the other side standing beside sanskaar. Sanskaar tried to adjust the baby . Laksh stepped ahead as his heart pinched his blood was so away from him
Swara put her arms under sanskaars and both looked at each other in each other eyes
Swara thought "aisa ku lagta hai kai kuch hai jo mujhy samjh ni araha jab bhi mai tumharay kareeb hoti hoon toh acha ku lagta hai"
The baby started to cry
Swara: sanskaar usko aisay ni pakro idhar lao
She took the baby
Everyone was shocked swara looked at them
Swara: kia howa? Ap sab yun ku dekh rahy hn? Narazgi ragini aur sanskaar sai hai. Iss choti si angel sai ni
She smiled and the baby held swara's index finger . Swara kissed the baby's little hands
Swara: bohat pyar hai yeh..
Ragini genuinely smiled
Swara: bas harakato pai apni maa baap pai na jaye toh theek rahay ga
Ragini looked down she was hurt while laksh made a fist of his hand in anger
Swara handed the baby to ragini and walked towards laksh
Swara: chalo laksh. Iss ka yeh matlb ni hai kai yeh dono ghar asakty hn.
With that swara took laksh: maa papa aplog bhi chaliye
Ap and dp nodded and went
Ragini kissed the baby's cheek: humari angel
2 weeks later
Laksh didn't get a single opportunity to hold his daughter. Not even once every time swara was around or it was too late or something with swara comes up. Not only him but not even his maa or papa got a chance to play with their grand daughter.
Soon was her naam karan .

Ragini and sanskaar sat on the sofa playing with angel.
Sanskaar: she looks exactly like both of you par ismay thori swara ki bhi resemblance hai.
Ragini smiled: iski naak bilkul laksh jaisi hai.
Sanskaar: aur ankhein tumharay jaisi so adorable. Baray papa ki jaan
Sanskaar took angel and played with her
Sujata who was watching it from the chair thought 'kash kai uss bengali swara kai bajaye sanskaar ko ragini pasand ajati, ya phir jiji sai pehlay mai ragini ka rishta maang laiti kaaki sa sai toh aj cheezein kuch aur hi hoti. Par koi na jo tab na howa wo ab howay hai'
Sujata to dadi: kaaki sa ap dekh rai hain apki laado marat choray kai sath kitni khush lagay hai
Shomi who came from kitchen
Shomi: sujata ji yeh ap kia keh rai hn. Ap janti hai na meri ragini laksh ki patni hai aur apka beta meri shona ka pati
Sujata: kaaki sa . Sharmishta ji swara ki yadasht kab wapis avay hai kisko pata? Avay hai bhi kai ma avay hai? Toh kia sanskaar ragini aur laksh yuhi jeetay rahein gai? Aur uss choti si bachi uska kia? Maari mano toh jo joray bangaye hai na wohi pakay kara lo. Laksh aur swara ki shadi karado aur maara chora toh ragini ka khyal rakhta hi hai
Dadi and shomi exchanged looks. Shomi looked at sanskaar and ragini.
3 hours later
Laksh and swara were going to MM. Laksh continuously thought about ragini and his baby and how they all were apart.
Swara: laksh ahista chalao kia hogya hai tumhay
Laksh remembered how once he tried to kill ragini and that was his biggest mistake.
No one was happy .
Laksh stopped the car
Swara: kia howa?
Laksh with a straight face : gaari mai kuch kharabi hogai hai. Aur agay pathar bhi hn. Can you just help me out pathro ko side pai hata doo gi
Swara nodded getting out and went ahead removing stones.
Laksh remembered how swara always hurted ragini and even sanskaar. How time changed after her memory loss. How rudely she behaves with everybody.
Laksh closed his eyes and reversed the car: aj yeh kissa hamesha hamesha keliye khatam kar hi daita hoon
Laksh applied gear 2 and started to come in full speed . As he sped ragini's voice echoed "wo jaan hai humari uskai bina hum marjaein gai"
Laksh gritted his teeth, laksh tried to apply brakes to stop but it didn't . swara looked back and saw lakshs car coming towards her she got scared and fell down.
Suddenly ragini with the baby in her hands come in between signalling with her hand to stop the car. She stood between swara and the car.
Ragini: swara uthooo
Laksh looked at her and their baby. He turned the car towards left and suddenly applied brakes and the car stopped
While ragini and swara both covered the faces with their hands thinking the car might crash into them. Ragini held the baby tightly.
Laksh came out of the car and saw ragini and the baby crying. He stepped towards them and swara stood up and ran towards laksh hugging him.
Swara: laksh gaari out of control kaisay chali gai?
Laksh who was still looking at ragini as she was looking at him back
Laksh: sorry
Swara turned around to see ragini she went towards her and hugged her and the baby
Swara: pagal ho? Agar tumhay aur baby ko kuch hojata toh?
Ragini couldnt believe neither did laksh
Swara: aek baar tumnay mujhy marnay ki koshish ki thi aur bachaya bhi hai. Tum badal gai ho ragini
Ragini had tears she hugged swara back while the baby stayed between them . Laksh looked at the trio
