CHAPTER 13

Sanskaar and swara were heading back to Maheshwari mansion. Swara was lost in her thoughts she was remembering what sanskaar's friend said about planning their kids. She remembered how excitedly she planned the future with ragini and she was stunned with her long term planning. Swara never knew that ragini might never be here with them to see that life can be beautiful. A tear fell on her cheeks and sanskaar while driving noticed that, he put his hand on swara's squeezing it

Sanskaar: swara tum fikar mat karo mai har moment pai tumharay sath hoon

Swara look at sanskaar's face as he stopped the car

Swara : gaari ku roki?

Sanskaar took out the handkerchief and forwarded it to swara as she went in te flashes of how sanskaar use to wipe her tears every time she needed a shoulder to cry on. Swara's eyes met with his, as sanskaar wiped her tears from his own hands

Sanskaar: meri biwi ro rai hai aur mai drive kaisay kar sakta hoon?

Swara hugged sanskaar and he put his hand around her: its okay swara I am with you sab theek hoga. Tum jo keh rai ho sab theek hai

Swara sobbed and was about to say something when sanskaar pushed swara a little : lucky?

Sanskaar came out of the car and ran, swara look at where sanskaar is running just to see laksh near the edge of the hill and shouted : laksh

She ran behind sanskaar

Sanskaar shouted : no laksh

Laksh was about to move ahead when sanskaar held his arm and pulled him towards him.

Here ragini got up from her sleep with a jerk. She was badly sweating and feeling that something was not right. She was panting.. and remembered at farm house when she got scared from dark how laksh consoled her and how she hugged him to seek shade

"yeh moh moh ke dhagay

Teri ungliyon sai ja uljhay"

Ragini hugged her knees and sobbed as she can't do anything. And here she was away from her family her maa papa and sister , her laksh.. and everyone thought she was dead. She remembered how swara always helped her when she was in trouble .

"koi toh toh na lagay

Kis tran girha yeh suljhay"

Swara covered her mouth in shock

Sanskaar shook laksh: hosh mai aoo laksh. Yeh tum kia kar rahay thay? Pagal hogye ho

Laksh who was holding ragini's dupatta signaled sanskaar towards the hill

Sanskaar was angry : bas hogya .. kuch nahin hai wahan. Laksh ragini kabhi ni chahy gi kai tum apni zindagi kai sath yeh sab karo. Tumhay samjhna hoga kai wo ja chuki hai and she won't return

Swara was utterly hurt: enough sanskaar yeh sab tum kia bol rahay ho? Meri behan kai baray mai tum aisa sab nahi bol saktay ho samjhay

Sanskaar shouted : enough swara..

He held her arms

Sanskaar: tumharay inn sab cheezon sai laksh ki zindagi kitni affected ho rai hai can't you see?

Swara : abhi kuch dair pehlay tum keh rahay thay thay you support me no matter what aur ab yeh?

Sanskaar: swara you need to accept it

Sanskaar was holding laksh's hand and laksh was quite and was looking at her dupatta in his hand..

Swara : mai ku mano? Ku? Yeh sach ni hai aur tum yeh mano

Sanskaar: shut up swara just shut up

Swara was shocked with the way sanskaar talked to her. More tears came from her eyes . and she moved back

Swara : aj hadh hogai sanskaar. Aj sach hadh hogai..

Sanskaar realized what he did as ragini's words echoed in his head " kuch bhi hojaye ap humari behan ko khush rakhein gai"

Sanskaar: swara wo sorry

But she showed him hand to stop : mujhay kuch ni suna.. mai ja rai hoon

Sanskaar's heart ached

Swara : tumsay aur tumharay ghar say dur..

With that she ran back on the main road .

Laksh sat own near the hill as flashes of the accident starts running in his head while sanskaar ran behind swara

"teray bin dard saha

Har lamha kaisay kata "

He shouted : swara please baat toh suno

Swara stopped a rikshaw and sat in it while sanskaar tried to run after the rikshaw

"sath chalay

Par raah mai bichray"

Swara covered her face as she was crying . the hurt was too much.. she could hear sanskaar shouting her name.. she touched her head to the seat as she sat back helplessly . she was truly tired

"main kahan

Tu kahan"

Sanskaar sat on the road and passed his fingers through his hairs in frustration

Everything was falling apart.

Swara reached baadi and as she entered her home . dadi looked at her she seemed tired .. shekhar also came out of his room just to see swara standing at the door. Sharmishta looked at swara and came towards her

Sharmishta: kia howa shona ?

Swara hugged her and sobbed : maa main wo ghar chor aai maa

And she broke down on floor . dadi was shocked

Swara : mai lar lar kai thak gai hoon . ab mai wapis tabh hi jaon gi jab ragini meray sath hogi.

Shekhar held swara by her arm and made her stand : mai apni aek beti toh kho chukka hoon ab tumhay apni zindagi barbaad kartay vay nahi dekh sakta. Swara apnay ghar wapis jao

Swara freed herself: nahi baba mai ni jaon gi

With that she ran in her room

Shekhar to sharmishta: mishti usay samjhao

Sharmishta with a straight face : ab mai kisi ko kuch ni samjha sakti.

With that she went to her room too

Sanskaar was in his room sitting on his bed, remembering swara as sujata came inside and sat beside him: kia howa sanskaar?

Sanskaar hugged his mom: mom swara mujhay chor kai chali gai hai

He cried, while sujata smiled in her head but pretended to be sad in front of him

Sujata: na beta.. aisay rotay na hain.. sab theek hoga

He put his head in her lap

Sanskaar: maa ap usko btaye na kai main usay bohat pyar karta hoon I will not be able to live without her

Sujata touched his hairs: tu fikar na kar .. wo chori ajaye gi

Sujata thought: acha hai pehlay aek behan iss dunia sai gai aur usi ki wjaa sai dosri behan iss ghar sai gai.. ab kuch sakoon aya iss ghar mai

Durga parsad was sitting in the main hall talking to adarsh about a business party

Durga parsad: adarsh sab tyarian theek sai honi chai kal hum sabko mr kapoor ki party mai jana hai

Laksh was about to move towards his room when durga parsad called him

Durga parsad: aur laksh tumhay bhi jana hai . yeh mera akhiri faisla hai

Sab jaein gai sanskaar bhi jaye ga

Sanskaar was standing on the stairs

Durga parsad: gadodia house kai logo ko bhi bulaya hai. Pichlay kuch wakt sai jo iss ghar mai howa

Laksh closed shut his eyes

Durga parsad : wo galat tha aur shaid puri zindagi hum nab hula paein par zindagi toh chali rehti hai isliye humay bhi uskay sath chalna hi hoga

Sharmishta went to the temple

Sharmishta : pandit ji aek pooja karwani hai?

Priest: ji theek hai beta kis kai naam ki karani hai?

Sharmishta: swaragini kai naam ki karani hai.. meri betiyo ki khushi keliye karwani hai

Everyone looked towards sharmishta as they know ragini was dead still sharmishta was having a pooja of ragini's happiness

Sharmishta prayed: bhagwan ji agar ap hain to hap meri swara ko uski khushi dai daein gai.. mujhy meri ragini dai daein gai.. sab kuch theek kardaein gai

Here ragini was hell nervous and was moving here and there in tension.. how would she face her both families.. how will they react? How will she act as rachna kapoor when she was ragini.. she shook her head . she will break down and if her family get to know that she is ragini and ansh harmed her dada ji or anyone? Will she be able to forgive herself.. how will she face swara ? swara knows her too well.. how will she make her belive that she is not ragini ? and what about laksh? How will he react? And how was he till these three months? All this was going on in ragini's mind. And her eyes were filled with tears.. she can't be selfish but how will she be someone she is not. And her voice she can't even tell anybody who she was and why she was doing this and where she was..

Ansh entered the room: thinking much?

He whispered

Ragini got alert and turned around

Ansh: darti bohat ho tum

And he mocked her while ragini looked down

Ansh: mai bas yeh btanay aya hoon kai aj sham ko tum apni family sai milo gi par not as ragini but as rachna

Ragini looked at him with plead in her eyes as she joined her hands

Ansh: koi bhi galat kadam bohat logo ki jaan kai sath bohat kuch karsakta hai

Ragini's face color changed as she went pale thinking if something happens.

Ansh went.. and ragini touched her head. How simple was there life. she use to play around with swara.. then laksh came and her heart started to feel something for him.. how good was life. her marriage with laksh.. and then swara marriage with sanskaar came in her mind and the dance they did on swara and sanskaar sangeet . how laksh hugged her from back.

"vishwas ki tooti howay tukray chubhtay hain sansoon mai

Yeh sila dai gai qurbanian"

Ragini thought: ku bhagwan . humari behan nai kitni qurbanian dii hain sab nay kitna saha hai humari waja sai aura b hum unko aur takleef phonchaye gai? Ku kar rahay hain ap aisa? Humari madad keejay please..

Here swara got ready for the party. The weather was windy, the windows of her and ragini's room was open as a blow of wind hit the photo frame on the dressing and it fell down. Swara picked it up and it was ragini and hers photo . the glass broke swara tuched it and got a cut

Swara : ouch

She licked the blood

Swara : aisa ku lag raha hai jaisa kuch honay wala hai ragini?

Jaisay tumhay meri zarorat hai , tum mujhy bula rai ho?

Laksh entered the kapoor's mansion, he was wearing a blue jacket and white shirt under it, with pants. He was very serious and there were no expression on his face. As he put his step on the main stairs of the party venue. It felt different to him, here ragini turned around as if someone was calling her.. she was getting ready in front of the mirror, she put her hand on her heart and lipped "laksh". Laksh slowed down as if feeling something as if she called him . His heart skipped a beat and he closed his eyes to feel her presence . she was somewhere his heart was telling it.. whenever ragini use to come close to him he used to feel the same way. The last time on swara and sanskaar's wedding when they danced and they were just inches apart when he planted a kiss. The feeling was same.. she was around. Laksh looked here and there

" haan hasi bangaye

Haan nami bangaye"

He moved towards the corridor, ragini left everything and ran towards the window and she reached there she saw laksh standing down near te corridor. Ragini face turned into a crying face

"tum meray asmaan

Meri zameen bangaye"

Tears skipped through her eyes, she moved her hand to call him and laksh turned around looking up as he turned to see there was no one. Ragini hid behind the window door realizing what she was doing. She covered her mouth not to make a noise. She saw laksh looking up from the side gaps .. laksh looked around , he felt her.. he was not wrong .. he was changed due to her.. he knows her too well. He knows he is use to of her scent.

"haan hum badalnay lagay

Girnay sambhalnay lgay"

He started to move ahead and ragini was moving ahead too. Ragini's love has some how over powered laksh from the start but that time he never realized it. His belief on her no matter she was wrong or right was firmer then on anyone. Her moving away from him shattered him , her returning the mangalsutra their wedding ring killed him 1000 times. He took out the mangalsutra from pocket and ragini saw it. She cried looking at him.. she wanted to run to him and hug him . something she was not able to do three months before the day she was so ready to start a new life. laksh kissed her mangalsutra.

"jabsay hai jana tumhay

Teri ore chalnay lagay"

Laksh eyes got tears. This was his destiny and he was happy and ready to live his life with her mangalsutra too. Laksh never knew that he could love someone to this extent

"har safar

Har jaga, har kahin bangaye"

Laksh was about to pass through the room ragini was in but she closed the door before and locked it. Laksh stopped just in front of the door and touched the glass of the door . where as ragini was standing taking the support of the door. This was there fate, just a door apart and still cant even come together.. why them. Why there was no easy way for them

"mantay thay khuda

Aur wohi bangaye"

Laksh came to the hall where there were different business associates, ansh saw laksh and smirked thinking "just wait mr laksh maheshwari apko apki zindagi ka sabsay bara shock lagnay wala hai"

Different people were coming to laksh and meeting him asking about different stuff but his mind was occupied with her thoughts only. He was just thinking about his time with her. Life was cruel to them. Ansh came towards laksh

Ansh: hi mr laksh maheshwari

Laksh just looked at him

Ansh: ap yahan aye bohat acha laga . I hope you enjoying the party

But there was no reply from him .

Ansh: oh there she is . that's my wife rachna

Laksh looked towards the stairs and then looked down again going back in ragini's thought when he realized something. His eyes got bigger.. laksh turned around to see towards the stairs and there she was. He couldn't believe his eyes. .

Ragini controlled her breath as she saw laksh looking at her.. the shock was visible on his face. She held her breath. And came down as ansh signaled her too. She avoid looking at laksh.

Laksh as slow as possible made a step towards her. She was in a red sleeveless saree . laksh saw her maang which had sindoor, his eyes stayed on her neck which was adorned by mangalsutra . her hairs were open. She was looking different but it was her. Laksh took another step towards her.. his eyes filled with tears only.. three months it was three months . but today she was not vanishing, she was standing infront of him. his grip on he mangalsutra became tighter. Laksh went and stood infront of ragini. Ragini was just controlling, she could feel her life going away from her.. the closeness.. she has craved for him.. laksh brought his both hands up as they shivered he wanted to touch her face and feel her but he stopped.

Here ansh smiled evilly. His plan had just began

Laksh opened her mouth to call her but he couldn't form words.. a tear skipped through his eyes as he smiled and cried at the same time. He touched the back of his hairs.. he looked here and there not believing.. he sobbed and suddenly hugged her. Ragini went paled as he hugged her .. as there heart beats met, laksh was not able to believe.. he put his hand on her back. It was her. It was his ragini.. ragini made a fist of both her hand as her nails dig in her skin. She could not afford to lose control. Laksh touched her hairs .. he was purely crying

"teray bin teray liye

Teray bin aisay jiye

Ghum aur khushi lai kay kabhi

Jee liye mar liye"

Ragini closed her eyes she was losing herself, she brought her hands up to hug him but before she could. Ansh pulled ragini back and as laksh looked at him he pushed laksh hard as he fell on floor

Ansh: how dare you hug my wife

Laksh was stunned as looked at ragini.
