Chapter 4
She entered her room and sat on the couch, her life changed drastically in a day... she looked at her mobile and browse to her gallery... finding pictures of her and ragini... her mother and father...and him... lakshya, She was soo close to him today but yet soo far... her fingers shivered as she tried to delete those pictures...but they just couldn't press delete.
How perfect would her family be if Ragini told her beforehand that she loved Lakshya, Neither would she have harbored strong feeling for Lakshya nor today her family would have been broken?
He walked in with his laptop and found her lost in something, she wasn't crying he did notice she would barely cry now... but she lost the Swara glow on her face...even if she will smile those smile barely reaches her eyes
He was battling with his inner feelings to ask her whats wrong or not ... when he remembered what she told her in the car..."You know Sanskaar...I know I can never take Kavita's place in your life and trust me I will never even try too but I promise you I will always be your bestfriend...and we will share all'' They would share all
He silently walk to the couch and sit next to her saying..."Someone is not following her made rules"
His words managed to get her out of her thoughts but she was puzzled what is he talking about..."Rules??"
"Yeps!! Well you only told me you will be always my bestfriend and we will share all...but you are sitting here sad and not saying whats bothering you?"
She was feeling blessed to still have someone who cared in her life...who thought that someone would be Sanskar
"Ragini gave me my phone" she said showing him the phone, while he only nod indicating her to continue
"And she said some stuff which managed to get the vulnerable Swara out" she chuckled at her own misery
"Vulnerable?? nah I don't think so Swara...look at today, you had Lakshya right infront of you yet you composed yourself... and you know what Swara no matter what Ragini does I saw Lakshya still having feeling for you...I noticed how our closeness affected him...that's why I am sure when Ragini's truth will be out he will first look for you" Yes he was saying that...though he din't like the thought of Swara leaving him at all, but well he was done acting selfish...How well he knew Swara loves lakshya soo much
"Sanskar!! Maybe Lakshya will be back on knowing the truth but will it all be same??? Will I be able to accept him back in my life knowing she was my sister's husband?" she questioned him placing her mobile on the nearby table..." I am not a home wrecker Sanskar...That's why earlier I din't want to accept Lakshya in my life...but Ragini kept on encouraging my feeling, I dunno what she had in mind right then but I wish she would understand my happiness that time wasn't Lakshya but my family...the family I have been yearning for since I was a kid" Things was soo easy for her to tell to him, and she somehow felt light telling all...and she was grateful he was listening to her
"I sort of provoked Ragini too you know... so I am at fault too'' he thought about the time all he thought was about his revenge
"Sanskar neither I can blame you nor Ragini and Lakshya...whatever happened was because of the messy situation and maybe lack of communication...Even I am at fault if you will look at it...I many times saw things and chose to either ignore or not telling Lakshya, what I feel bad is because of us kids my parents are having to suffer" He just din't know what to say...she was once just like a little kid and the other time she talked like someone really mature
"You were trying to delete the pictures" He asked guess as her phone caught his attention
She looked at him wondering if he's learning to read her.. "Yes...but dunno why I am not being able"
"Because your heart still cherish the beautiful moments you spent with Lakshya and your family Swara...I will suggest you don't delete it...because those moments are perhaps never coming back again... You will have to accept this and move on Swara, deleting will give you just a temporary happiness" Who would say he was also her husband she thought...he was suggesting her to keep the photographs of her and Lakshya who was also his brother
He took the phone placing it back in her palm..." Learn to make your Weakness your strength Swara...that's what I did too when Kavita left me...today she gives me strength to move on... after all the hardships I went through when she left me my family deserted me...you should make Lakshya his thoughts your strength...be proud of what your love was and rest leave it on time...because time is a great healer" He wondered if he did some philosopher course of which he was himself unaware
And all she did was moving ahead and hugging him for helping her overcome all the negative thoughts she had in mind, she was soo comfortable in the hug she even forgot how close she was to him...while he smiled at her cute act and hugged her back
On realizing their closeness she stepped aside...and tried to say something but was soon stopped by Sanskaar..."Thank you Sanskaar hadn't been you I dunno what would have had happened to me!" he said mimicking Swara
She sat with her mouth open looking at him and realized he was doing it to lighten the tension...she quickly picked a cushion and reached to hit him
"Oye !!! Miss wild cat...relax" he said running away from her reach
"MRS!!!!!" She shouted laughing at him
"Yah yah!!" He felt his heart swelling up with pride as he heard her correcting him..."Mrs, His MRS''
After the pillow fight they settled on the bed...preserving their smile on their lips..."You know I am placing my alarm at 7 am...so if you hear it ringing don't get bothered it will be only me" he said adjusting his alarm clock
"7 am???Why??" she was taking her wife's job seriously...he thought
"I have some work at my office...I will try to wrap it up quickly and come back" saying so he grabbed the Ac remote
"you're seriously putting that thing on???" she looked at him with horror in her eyes
"I can skip it...if you get use to see me shirtless every morning" he smirked as she widen her eyes ..."don't worry I will not freeze the room''
Reassured she turned to her side and close her eyes...for once she wasn't thinking about the rest...before sleeping he turned to her side checking if she's asleep
During the night she felt herself shivering...unknowingly she pushed herself closer to Sanskaar...placing her face against the crook of his neck...and felt comfortable she hugged her body closer to him...least she knew her heater was none other than Sanskar
The following morning...he was brought out of his dreamland by his alarm...despite his mind telling him to wake up for office...his body refused to compile ... he reluctantly opened his eyes and found swara hugging him tight...and her lips brushing against his neck... he couldn't help the smile on his face looking at her...he slowly brushed away all the hairs on her face behind her ears..."How can someone hurt you?'' he whispered...he looked at his watch without moving from his position and found it was already 7 30 am, he had to leave, As he tried to separate himself from Swara...he heard her murmuring things..."I need warmth, Stay!" she pulled him closer to her
He chuckled as her words hit his ears...he was her heat source...in such a situation he found only one way out...switching off the ac so that swara leaves him...as he did...the room became warm again and he carefully shifted to her side...only for her to get disturb by the sun rays again...she moaned sleepily placing her hands on her eyes...opening them and found sanskar leaving the bed...oblivious of her previous posture she acted normal and mostly pissed at the window..."Couldn't you find better curtains for this window" she said sitting against the bed
He laughed at how careful he was for not waking her up and the sun rays did it in just one try
"it's not funny Sanskaar... am getting new curtains today" she wiped her eyes sleepily
"Okay! But for now you can shift to my place and sleep...I switched the ac off" his voice was coated with concern
"and you???don't you need tea or coffee before going at work??" she quickly settled in the other side of bed
"No!! Just don't worry about that I will have something at work...and for you I will call my maid again at work...she will help you" He entered the shower while she stared at the door
Could he be true??? "I wonder just like Sanskaar had a change of heart if the rest could be having one too" she thought and went back to sleep
He quickly got ready and left for his work...looking at swara for a last time...verifying if shes alright
Around 10 she woke up...and looked at her surrounding...she loved her home...it was little but cozy...one thing she hated was her window... "Shopping time!" she said to herself and got up
In the meanwhile he was there In his office thinking about Swara...she looked soo pretty even the sun rays wanted to touch her face...his thought was broken by his manager who entered with some work
Later in the evening he entered his house all tired...after soo many days he joined work back and his mind was actually not at work at all, he kept on wondering how is Swara, she ate or not...was she still upset
"Swara!! Where are you??" He shouted scanning the house for her
"I am in here Sanskar" She replied from the inside of their bedroom
He got in the room only to find her standing on a stool trying to get the curtain set
"What are you doing???" He was shocked and worried for her... and his voice startled her and her feet shivered moving the stool along
He ran to her fearing she will fall down... and grab her by her waist picking her in his arms...from the stool
"What do you think you were doing??" he spoke without feeling the need to place her down...it felt soo right to have her in his arms like this after a whole day missing her
"Sanskar!! I was putting this curtain" she showed the curtain to him..."Place me back on the stool" she pouted
"NO! What if you fall, Are you mad...you'd probably break your legs and hands'' he scolded, while she remained quiet in his arms
His scolding did contain care for her...but he was clearly over reacting she thought...she locked her eyes in his and found immense care for her in them...she din't realize when her hands chained around his neck and she was lost in his eyes
He always found her different...and right now he din't want to break their eye contact neither
But his phone had other idea as it started ringing dragging them back to reality... they both break the eye contact and tried stealing their gaze apart, he gently placed Swara down, and fish his phone out of his pocket
"Hello!" Swara could hear him speaking
"Sir, I've come to know your brother Lakshya Maheshwari is apply tender you're applying for too'' Sanskar's manager spoke from the other end of the call
"Listen, Lakshya is just another competitor of mine...in the professional world, it doesn't concern me if he's applying or not but right now you are doing what I told you, I want this tender at any cost" He angrily spoke and disconnect the call
Swara stared at him wondering if he suffered from multiple personality disorder, he was always surprising her, he was once a nervous guy, he had a naughty kiddish side, he was full of affection and then he was suddenly a ruthless businessman
"Swara, I am sorry!" he truly seemed apologetic and she thought why
"Why??"
"You must be thinking I am a bad brother...knowing lakshya is applying for that tender I am going for it...but thing is I always separate my professional life from my personal ones...there are many people earning their bread from my company so now if I leave every tender just because a family member of mine is applying for it, it will be really unprofessional"
She was amazed how he was teaching her things...he was only 2 months elder than lakshya, but lakshya was childish and spoil because he din't have to face the hardship and struggle that sanskar had...she couldn't help but relate her life to Sanskar's one...it was actually kind of similar, and they both Lost their First love because of their own
