The reason why--well, there are several reasons:
1) They are going to be each others' support systems through an extremely difficult time. They are going to rely a lot on each other, spend a lot of time together. From the usual hints given in TV serial world 😊, their partnership is bound to grow into affection and then to love. After all, aren't successful relationships based on trust and understanding?
2) Swara has repeatedly said she does not want to break Lakshya and Ragini apart. It seems completely contradictory to this stand, to put her back with Lakshya after Ragini's truth comes out.
3) No one forced Lakshya to marry Ragini. He did so out of his own choice and free will--motivated by anger at Swara and fooled by Ragini's lies, no doubt, but still, it was his own decision. He could very well have listened to Sanskaar and Dida, and at least waited till he knew where Swara was.
I feel if the plot shows him divorcing Ragini and running after Swara again, a large section of the audience would find it unacceptable.
4) Sanskaar is shown to be more of an achiever, and a stronger/ more mature character overall than Lakshya. (He had formed a successful company of his own, had the strength to realize his mistakes and atone for it). Swara, similarly, is a more mature, balanced character that the sheltered, obsessive, misguided Ragini. Sanskaar and Swara complement each other far better, than either Lakshya--Swara or Sanskaar--Ragini.
5) This is probably rather subjective, but I find the actors playing Sanskaar and Swara (Varun & Helly), looking much better together as a pair, than Lakshya--Swara (Namish--Helly).😉
