Naina p.o.v.
It had been a hectic morning for Naina. They had got home late from the picnic and their kiss from last night kept her nerves tingling. She was now in the midst of deciding what she should be packing to take along with her. She was confused and needed some guidance. She hoped there wasn't anything special that people needed to take along on honeymoons. Usually her di helped her with all these things but she couldn't bother her di now. After all she was busy packing with jiju too. Karan had gone off to office to make sure things were settled well before they left that afternoon. Ma was busy cooking some food for them to take along on the trip. So her only option was asking Khyati, who had willingly taken the responsibility to lend her a hand. So she left Khyati to do the last bits of her packing and left the room.
A while later, Karan returned. She headed up to her room to get dressed. Their suitcases nicely taken away by the servant. She decided to wear a simple white Anarkali. As she came out of the washroom, Karan who was busily engaged with his file gave a stunned expression. She pretended to ignore his stare and walked straight to the mirror to comb her hair. She could still feel his eyes on her. Finally she cleared her throat, Kya dekh rahe ho Karan? She asked. Karan walked towards her and turned her around, yehi ki mein kitna lucky hoon Naina, meri wife bohot beautiful kaisi ho sakthi hai. She shied away.
They were broken out of their eye lock when ma called them down. He smiled and winked, aise disturbances nahi honge wahan pe. She smiled too. They came down the stairs as the whole family blessed them and gave them a last minute hug. Both couples fit in a car and managed to set off to the airport. The checking procedures took a while but they had finally put their luggages and sat down in their seats on the plane.
Karan p.o.v.
Karan had never been in a plane before. His eyes kept looking outside the window. He tried to put on a brave face for Naina but it wasn't working. She probably saw the stress marks on his forehead. Kya hua Karan? She inquired. Woh plane mein first time hai toh thoda dar lag raha hai, he replied. Naina offered him a smile. Bus yahi Baath hai. Yeh loh meri haath pakad lo aur aankein band kar lo jab plane take off kar rahi hai. Mein hoon na, she said. Karan grinned. She was always there he thought. He loved her so much, he would make this trip so memorable, he thought.
As the plane took off, his heart lunged and battered frantically, but he did as Naina told and he felt better once the plane carefully settled in the air. Their siblings were sat in the seats behind them and were currently fast asleep in each other's arms. He and Naina on the other had, just tangled their hands and kept their eyes on each other. The waiter provided them with dinner halfway through the journey and eventually it was time to land. Again Karan kept his hold on Naina firm as the plane came to a stop.
The trip from the airport to the hotel was a smooth one. Dadu had made so many special arrangements. Even the car that picked them up was on the fancy side. When they finally reached the hotel, it was close to eleven pm. They quickly said their goodbyes to their siblings as they were going to be living in a suite on the opposite end of the resort. This meant that although they would see each other once in a while, it was pretty much him and Naina alone for the rest of the time.
Naina p.o.v.
She was exhausted. It had been a very long day and the travelling didn't help. When they finally reached their suite, Naina was blown away. They had a mini pool within the room itself, and the room was filled with scented candles. The bed on the other hand was huge and decorated with the finest rose petals in the shape of a heart. On it sat two towels draped in the form of two swans who craned their neck towards each other and formed a heart. The balcony gave a splendid view of the hotel and the jungle in the distance. Her heart jumped.
While Karan was talking to the bellboy about the arrangements for breakfast tomorrow morning, she continued her tour. On the other side was a small but cute kitchen set up with all the utensils if they ever needed to cook. Their was a closet room too, they could place their suitcases here while they stayed. Finally she reached the bathroom, she never knew bathrooms could be so big. It was spacious enough for them to comfortable sleep in it. The bath tub was huge. It even had an shower area too. Naina couldn't help her heart giving a little jump, Karan had been very romantic these days and she wouldn't be surprised if he put all these to good use.
As she silently left the bathroom before her mind began thinking up of weird things and making her blush. Karan was nicely seated at the table looking at some brochures. Kya kar rahe ho? She asked. Woh Kal goomne ke liye jaga dekh raha tha, he replied. She smiled. Teek hai, mein change kar leti hoon. He nodded. She opened her suitcase in the closet room and was beyond shocked at what she saw.
She checked the bag to make sure that she hadn't by chance swapped it at the airport but to her surprise, no it was her bag. She found a small note in it. Bhabhi hope you like my choice of outfits. Mein kuch cheezein kareedhe hai sirf aspke liye. Love Khyati. Oh my god she thought, how could Khyati do this to her. How did she get time to even purchase the new clothes? She couldn't even think. There was no chance of asking di too. She was so far away and she couldn't possibly disturb their night. In place of the long and nice anarkalis she had packed, were dresses, short tops and tight jeans. How could she ever be comfortable in wearing those. She had worn some western outfits before the wedding so it wasn't completely new to her but wearing them in front of Karan was a whole new problem. To make matters worse, Khyati had found it optimal to pack some of the most embarrassing undergarments too. Naina blushed and hurriedly looked for something that looked ordinary. Thank goodness she managed to locate a decent looking night gown.
As she locked herself in the bathroom, Naina was daunted about what she could possibly do tomorrow. She couldn't possibly wear those things in front of Karan. Her cheeks turned red at the thought. Dressing herself quickly after taking a much needed shower, Naina headed out. She was thankful that Karan hadn't seen her dilemma and closed the suitcase. Should she tell Karan? And ask for some new clothes but she thought back to their way here and remembered no shops or malls in the near distance where she could purchase something. Her heart sank. She would have to adjust with some of those dresses. Hopefully nothing too revealing.
Karan looked at her and gave her his usual smile. He took his own set of clothes and vanished to change. She decided to take in some much needed fresh air. So she walked onto the balcony and could hear some soft music playing from the ballroom a little further away in the main hotel. Their suite was quite isolated and there was no one here who could disturb them. Just what Karan wants she thought. The pink hue slowly settling in her cheeks.
Karan p.o.v.
He was amazed about how dadu could be so wonderful. His arrangements were superb and he loved their room. He had some romantic scenes playing in his mind already. No disturbance and loads of opportunity he thought. As he pulled on a pair of shorts and a tee, gelling his hair nicely and came out, he saw Naina leaning on the balcony. How could someone look so amazing every time he thought.
He wasn't going to rush Naina into anything. She looked quite tired today and he would let her get her beauty sleep. But it wouldn't harm to get a teeny hug and kiss before bed now, would it? So he slowly walked to her and twirled her around. To his surprise, Naina was no longer all shy shy. She slowly entwined her hands round his neck. He pulled her closer, their breaths mingling. He planted a slow kiss on her forehead. She closed her eyes. He could hear her heart thrumming against his. I love you he whispered. She shied away, and turned around, I love you too, she breathed. He was surprised. This was the first time Naina was telling her feeling out loud.
He pulled her into a cute hug. She wrapped her arms around him tightly. He slowly lifted her in his arms. The red returned to her cheek. He slowly twirled her around and walked towards the bed slowly placing her down. Slowly he came onto his side of the bed. She was playing with the swans now. Slowly pushing them off to the side. He slowly held her hand and she hugged him again. He slowly laid his head back on the pillow, with her nicely tucked into the nape of his neck. With one hand around her waist, he used the other to pull over the blanket. Good night, she whispered. He replied with a small peck on her cheek.
