Suvreen kept waiting till the evening for the reports to come.She moved here and there biting her nails for the report.She still had a hope of 90% that the reports may come negative.Thats why instead of loosing hopes she held it with her.Finally the door bell rang and Suvreen ran down the stairs to open the door.But there was Sneha who had already opened it and smiling to the doctor and taking the reports in her hand.She tried to over hear their convo but couldn't hear a word as the doctor had already left.
Sneha turned around to see a worried Suvreen standing behind her.She held the reports and brought it to her.Suvreen didn't say anything as she just took them and started reading it.Her face fell.The 90% hope broke down as she read it.She was on the verge of crying but didn't.Sneha kept a hand on her shoulder and stroked her head lovingly and said-"Chinta mat karo Suvreen.Sab kuch theek ho jayega.".Sneha didn't tell anything more.She knew Suvreen needed some time for herself to make up a decision.If she didn't want the baby they wont have gone against her but she knew that Suvreen loved Yuvraj where as there wasn't a vice-versa from the other side.And she hoped this stage of Suvreen may change Yuvraj a little more.
Suvreen said-"Main issey rakhke aati hun mumma."And without waiting for a second she turned and ran up.She was shattered yet again.How she missed her mother then!If her mother would have been with her then,then she wouldn't have ever gotten married early.She just then thought about the family that gave her a feeling of happiness and love and the promise she made to them.For the sake of her family she had to be strong.
Suvreen said to herself-"Main ro nahi sakti.Mujhe strong ban na hoga.Iss parivaar ne mere liye itna kuch kiya aur mein inke liye thoda kar nahi sakti.No Suvreen.You shouldn't cry."
Thus wiping her tears with her palm she got up from the bed and kept the file absent-mindedly on the table.She did not plan to inform Yuvraj this anytime soon.But destinies had some other plans like always.Destiny doesn't go hand-in-hand with our expectations.That's true!
He was tensed.For some reason he didn't feel like working today.So he called his assistant and cancelled all the meetings though he didn't leave for home.He sat in his cabin and through the glass windows observed the sunset with bright hues of orange,red and purple acroos the sky.The sky wasn't blue anymore.It was a beautiful sight to watch but looking at that Yuvraj's heart cried.How he wished all his dear ones were with him.He remembered how his destiny had played with him.Each and every time! And again this time too.He was happy with Suvreen being a friends but why everything changed?Was he so bad to suffer all this all his life?But his questions always remained unanswered.
Washing her face Suvreen came down again to spend some time with her family.She had cried a lot and she did not want everyone go into the gloomy mood.She was just entering the hall when she heard Annie scream-"Eww...ye log pagal hain kya."
Suvreen-"Kya hua Annie?"
Annie-"Bhabi...come...dekhiye ye"
Suvreen came closer and took a seat beside Annie and saw the page of magazine Annie showed.She could see pictures of kitchen in which there were cockroaches,flies feasting on mithais and some workers kneading the dough with their feet.
Suvreen-"Hey bhagwan...ye log khaana bana rahe hain ya students ko maarne ki planning?"
Till then even Sneha came and saw what they were glued to.
Sneha-"Dekha Annie.Boli na canteen mein zyada khaana nahi chahiye.Isse toh pura bimaar pad jaogi tum.Mujhe toh doctor ko bulaana hoga kahin tumhe koi bimaari pakad..."
Annie-"Mumma...breathe...aur ye hostel ka kitchen hai.Canteen ke liye alag kitchen hoti hai.Achhi walli."
Suvreen-"Par iske liye to college ke trustees ko batana chahiye.Students mare jayenge nahi toh"
Annie-"Haan bhabi likh chuke hain unhe.Lets see kab action mein aate hain."
It was past 7 now.He spent a hour and forty-minutes looking at the ceiling and being engrossed in his own thoughts.He thought to go back home and then work.So he left the office.
The saas-bahu and nanad were having a good time gossiping and making dinner too.For the first time in life Annie entered the kitchen.Suvreen and Sneha both were surprised.
Suvreen-"Waaah Annie.Aaj toh chamatkar ho gaya!"
Annie-"C'mon bhabi...abhi hoda-bahut kuch experience hone se emergency ke time kaam dega.Jaise who magazine waale kitchen food ko avoid karne ke liye"
Suvreen-"Heheh...annie tumhe inn sab par kam dhyaan dena chahiye.You should study."
Annie-"Just timepass bhabi" she winked.
Suvreen smacked her head and said-"Tum bhi na!"
The chitter-chatter of the ladies were disturbed by the doorbell.Annie ran to open it.She opened and saw her bhai back.
Annie-"Bhaiya aaj toh surprises hi surprises aa rahe hain..."
Yuvraj entered.His mood lightened seeing his baby sister.
"Acha?Aisa kya hua?"
Suvreen at the other side tensed up with Yuvraj's presence.All was going well but when he's back that too this early,tension built up in her head.She did not want to disclose anything to Yuvraj now so she acted normal.
Yuvraj went up to freshen up and work.He stayed there till some more time until dinner was served and he was called down by Suvreen.
Suvreen went up and called him-"Yuvraj?"
He did not mumble anything except a hmm'
"Woh mumma aapko dinner ke liye bula rahi hain"
He replied-"Haan ata hu"
Suvreen didn't wait anymore and left.
At the dinner table everyone kept shut as per the request of Suvren.They talked on random-topics or talked nothing at all.It was a silent dinner.
After dinner everyone retired to their rooms.
Suvreen went into the washroom to change.The day was hectic for her.Little did she know more was to come!
Yuvraj suddenly started searching a file he was working on.He searched every place but he couldn't find it.
"Arre abhi toh tha yahaan...gayab ho gaya?"
He searched the table and found another file instead.Curosity took over him and he opened it.He couldn't believe what was written all in it.He stared at the file and anger overcame him.
"This cannot happen...yeh nahi ho sakta!"
That was all he managed to say.
Precap- "Suvreen,tum itni badi baat mujhse chupa kaise sakte ho?" he was angry,very angry.
