It was evening.Yuvraj thought that Suvreen would be back in home now.He came out from a meeting and was heading to his cabin when he got a call from home.He took it.Before he answered it Sneha's voiced echoed in his ears.
Sneha-"Yuvraj...Suvreen tumhare saath hai kya?"
Yuvraj-"Arre Mumma aapne hi toh kaha tha...woh toh hospital gayi thi na..."
Sneha-"Woh subah se gayi hai.Abhi shaam hogaya hai phir bhi ghar lauti nahi hai"
Yuvraj-"Kya?Abhi tak nahi aayi?Par usse toh ab tak ghar pahunch jaana chahiye tha..."
Sneha-"Beta maine uss se ye bhi kaha thi car le jao par who nahi maani...khud hi chali gayi hai...mujhe toh ab uski fikar ho rahi hai"
Yuvraj-"Nahi Mumma...wahi kahi hogi...Main usse wapas ghar laata hun..."
Sneha-"Theek hai beta.Apna khyal rakhna.Bhagwan kare who sahi salamat mil jaaye"
Yuvraj-"Woh theek hogi Mumma...aap chinta mat kijiye...main dekhta hu na"
He cut the call and sped towards his cabin and took the car keys.He got seated in the car and sped off to the hospital and ran to the receptionist and asked her if there was someone named Suvreen Singh' in the hospital that day.
Receptionist-"Haan sir,aise ek aaye thhe par unka appointment toh kabka tha...nearly 12:00 pm..."
Yuvraj thought-"Barah baje?Ab toh paanch baj chuke hain...kahan chali gayi abhi..."
Yuvraj thought to meet the doctor to ask if she knew anything about her whereabouts.Just then the nurse who attended the patients came to Yuvraj.
Nurse-"Aap Mrs.Sigh ke husband hain?Wohi jinka appointment 12:00 pm ko tha?"
Yuvraj -"Jee haan.Main wohi hun.Kya aapko unke bare mein kuch pata hai?"
Then the nurse told him how she was crying and then about that woman and Suvreen's running away.Yuvraj was shocked.He could not react at first.Then,he thanked the nurse and ran to find her.
Yuvraj-"Aise hi chali gayi...kahin kuch galat na kar baithe"
He was fearing as if his life was in danger.He checked all roads that were adjacent to the hospital.He also checked the linked roads but could find her nowhere.Meanwhile Annie had come from college and Sneha and Annie were both scared.
Annie-"Bhabi aise kahan chali gayi?"
Sneha-"Pata nahi beta.Mujhe bahot zyada chinta ho rahi hai uski.Woh kahin kisi mushkil mein na fas jaye"
Annie-"Mumma she'll be alright.Aap aisi batein mat boliye!"
Yuvraj after a full two hours could not even think where she could be.He continuously asked at his home if she had returned there but always received a negative answer.He stopped the car at the edge of a road and kept his head on the steering wheel and asked god to return her back to him safely.

Just then through window strong wind blew.He opened his eyes from the prayer and thought something and then he go the clue.She could be at the river bank.That was the only place she used to go when she was upset or dipressed.How could that slip off his mind?He didn't waste a second and drove towards the river bank.
In some minutes he reached there and searched for Suvreen.Still he could get no sign of her.He didn't know where she was.He shouted out her name and looked around and everywhere.He felt helpless and fell down on his knee.He felt defeated as if he could not find her.

Scary thoughts kept coming to his mind.He thought he was loosing her forever.He felt suddenly his world has filled with darkness all around again.The light in his heart and mind was missig.He was not being able to find her and yet again he blamed himself for all that.
Main adhoora jee raha hun

He got seated inside the car again and started driving in the streets nearer to the river looking for her.All the time he was thinking about her and the times they spent together near the river bank making a stone thowing compettion of who throws stones more far.
Tere jism ki woh khoosbuyon mein
Ab bhi inn saanson mein zinda hai
Mujhe jo ho rahi inse ghutan
Mere gale ka ye phanda hai
Teri choodiyon ki woh khanak
Yaadon ke kamre mein goonje hain
Sunka isse aata hai yaad

Kar mujhe yahan se rihaa
He silently prayed and pleaded-"Wapas ajao Suvreen.Please,mere liye,mere family ke liye please!"

Fear was all he could feel.He didn't know why but he was too scared.Because if anything will happen to her the second life in her will also be harmed.Keeping aside these thoughts he concentrated on either sides of roads.It was nearly night time.Still he was not getting any clue about her.
Suvreen was thinking of returning back to home as she thought about her family.They could be more than worried for her.She was just walking silently when some goons from nowhere came and surrounded her.She got scared as she saw knives in their hands and wound her am protectively over her stomach.The goons were talking in abusive language and Suvreen could not do anything when they kept coming closer to her.She just pleaded not to do anything to her.Tears had started making their way downwards from her eyes.
"Please mujhe chodd do..."..."Chod do mujhe please"...she cried and cried but the goons didn't have any mercy for her.They aimed the knife at her and thrust it...'swishhh'
"Aaahhh!!"Suvreen screamed closing her eyes.She after some minutes opened her eyes and brought her palms up to her face and saw blood on it.
But she didn't experience any pain.She was wondering why.She looked down at her stomach and saw a hand grabbing the knife from all edges and stopping it from entering her stomach.That hand was filled with blood as it was cut by the sharp knife and she realized that that blood and flowed into her hands.She looked up to see the face of her saviour and saw Yuvraj.
Yuvraj kicked and pushed and fought with goons gaining some cuts and scratches.Finally,the goons got breathless rather energy-less to fight more and ran away.
Suvreen saw his hand was bleeding more and more.She quickly tore a pice of cloth from her white dupatta and cleaned the blood and then took another piece and tied it on the wound for clotting of blood.Yuvraj just stared at her.Finally he found her! After she finished her dupatta-tearing-and-cleaning-wound-business he took her into his arms and hugged her.Both had tears in their eyes and their tears were for each other.
Yuvraj then jerked her away and demanded for an explanation.
"Kyun kiya tumne aisa...aise koi bhaagta hai kya...kitna daar gaye thhe hum sab pata hai"
Suvreen stared blankly not knowing what to say.Yuvraj asked-"Bolo kyun kiya aisa??"being all angry.
Suvreen lowered her eys and said -"Kyunki mujhe laga aap iss bache ko accept nahi karenge"
Yuvraj became silet then.He moved towards the car and Suvreen followed him into it.The whole car journey was silent and they reached home.On opening the door they were bombared with hugs and questions from Annie and Sneha.Then they asked both of them to freshen up and rest.
Annie brought haldi ki doodh for both of them and left.Suvreen freshened up and so did Yuvraj.Both weren't feeling hungry that moment so denied Sneha for dinner.
Suvreen sat quietly and bandaged all his wounds without uttering a word.Both of them drank their glass of milk.Suvreen the sat on the bed and so did Yuvraj.
Yuvraj broke the silence.
"Suvreen mujhe tumhe kuch batana hai..."
Suvreen-"Hmm...batayiye"
Yuvraj-"Suvreen tum toh mere past ke bare mein jaanti ho...aur ye bhi jaanti ho ki main unn sabse kitna darta hun"
Suvreen just murmured a hmmm' fearing the conclusion of Yuvraj's story.
Yuvraj nfaced Suvreen and said-"Isiliye mere liye ye sab easy nahi hai.Main do baar dhoka kha chukka hun ab teesri baar nahi khaana chahta hun.Darta hun main apne taqdeer se!"
Suvreen now couldn't stay num.She said-"Yuvraj ismein darne ki koi baat nahi.Jo hona hot hai who ho jaata hai.Iska matlab ye nahi ki hum zindagi bhar ussi dar ke sahare jiye.Nahi Yuvraj.Aap unn dono hadsayon ke wajah se jeena nahi chodna chahiye aur unn dono ke liye aap bilkul bhi jimmedaar nahi hain.So move on. "
Yuvraj looked into her eyes which told that she was saying the truth.He asked a question for the last time.
"Kya main ek acha insaan,acha friend ke saath ek achaa husband aur ek acha papa ban sakta hun?"
Suvreen smiled and nodded in a yes.
Yuvraj smiled back.He was relieved now.He said-"Toh fir fires kabhi mat kehna ki aap ye bacha accept nahi karma chahte"
Suvreen beamed.Her eyes fille wih tears.She was so happy today.She hugged him murmurming a thank you'.
Yuvraj-"Kiske liye tha?Best Friend ke liye ya husband ke liye?"
And both broke out into laughter.
Hearing their laughter Sneha nad Annie prayed god to keep them together forever!
