Hello folks, my name is Neeta and I've been writing fics for a while, although my updates are usually rather..err...late 🤔 😆 But this show has truly engaged me and while I find way too many faults in Yuvraaj's character, I still like him for not being your typical perfect hero. He's an egoist without any inhibitions about it. And Suvreen and Yuvraj are like fire and ice.
I will try to be as regular as I can with this one. Moderators, feel free to shift this to the FF section, but please let it develop a considerable readership before doing so, otherwise it'll just get lost in the bottomless ocean of fics in that section 😆
P.S - I must say this beforehand, romance is not going to happen anytime soon here, so please be patient with me. It continues from the end of today's episode. Also, I write dialogues mostly in english because that's what goes with the flow of my story.
Ok, enough of my rant, onto the story!
PART 1
Suvreen looked at Naro's blotched face and felt anger bubble within her. She had heard of stories about harassment, molestation and eve-teasing, but she had never imagined one day it would happen to someone so close to her, that it would hit so close to home. That KK, I'm going to make sure he pays for his crime, she thought with clenched fists.
"Naro, don't worry, we're with you. He will not get away with this", she said as reassuringly as she could.
Naro didn't stop sobbing. She felt stupid and insulted. How could she allow herself to be convinced by this man, after all these years of knowing him so well? She should have stayed put. Her decision should have been final. She said between her sobs, "I-I am so d-dumb Suvreen. M-mujhe nahi jaana ch-chahiye tha"
Suvreen strengthened her hold on Naro's shoulder and said, "You're right. Tujhe nahi jaana chahiye tha. But your feelings for him were real, even if his weren't. He knew that, he knew he could manipulate you, that bas***d" she finished with a sneer.
Annie, who was silently observing their exchange whilst holding Naro's hand, nodded and said, "Look Naro, don't worry. You're fine now. You're with us. Right now, just think about making that poor excuse of a human pay for what he's done, instead of shedding tears over what could have happened"
Suvreen nodded and said, "Exactly. Be strong yaar. If you won't have courage, none of us will"
Naro looked at the pair of them and silently thanked the gods for blessing her with such amazing friends, who stood by her as her pillars in every situation. She gave them a small smile and nodded. Suvreen and Annie looked on positively and returned her smile. After making sure that Naro had truly stopped crying, all of them eventually went to bed. But none of them could sleep well, as the gravity of what had happened and what could happen settled upon them slowly throughout the night.

Yuvraaj settled himself on the window of his dorm, hoping that the light breeze would soothe his anger and frustration. He couldn't try why that topper drove him up the wall so frequently. Heck, he couldn't understand why her actions affected him so much. Had it been some other random girl who ditched him on fresher's night, he'd have simply done something to humiliate her in the party and that would have been it. He would have had a nice laugh and moved on. But that didn't hold true with Suvreen. No, that girl affected him like no other.
Ria's words suddenly replayed in his head, maybe you have a soft spot for her. Yuvraaj shook his head in disgust. Feelings? for Suvreen? He wouldn't harbor a soft spot for her even if she was the last girl in the galaxy. He was affected by her only because she was the only one who had managed to challenge him so many times, that's all. Yes, that's the only reason I dislike her so much, he thought with a finality.
But he couldn't ignore the nagging guilt that tugged at his conscience every now and then. He had planned and executed his revenge on Suvreen out of pure feeling of vengeance, but now that all of that was done and over with, he couldn't help but feel slightly guilty. This was not just a small little prank, he could have truly ruined her whole year. A small image of himself apologizing to Suvreen popped up in his head, but he shook it away from his head the very next second.
As if that was ever going to happen.

Next day, Suvreen woke up easily. She looked at the clock on the bedside table. It read 7 am. Usually she would get up groggily at around 7:30 after her intense struggle with her alarm clock and pillows, but today she sat up in her bed, something much more troublesome than her alarm clock bothering her.
She looked over Naro's bed and saw that she was still sleeping, although not peacefully, but out of exhaustion and stress. She quickly got out of her bed and got ready without waking either of her roommates. At exactly 7:30, she sat on Annie's bed and shook her quietly, "Annie", she whispered. Annie stirred slowly. "Annie, wake up" repeated Suvreen. Annie slowly opened her eyes saw a pair of worried eyes staring back into her own. It took her only 5 minutes of consciousness to remember what had transpired last night. She quickly got down from her bed and went to get ready.
It was time wake Naro up. They had to go and report this. They just had to. She started walking towards Naro's bed, but before she could wake her up, a loud knock on their door made her jump in her spot. She looked around and saw that a girl she didn't know was knocking urgently on their door. By now, Naro had also woken up and lines of worry had returned on her face.
Suvreen walked over and yanked open the door, "What happened? Why are you knocking so loudly?"
"Suvreen, jaldi aa! bahut bada kaand ho gaya yaar!", she said hysterically, and then looked at Naro over Suvreen's shoulder, "It's about Naro"
Suvreen's eyes widened with fear as the words sunk in. After last night, she couldn't think that anything worse could happen, but clearly something had. She turned around to see Naro looking equally shocked.
Oh god no, what now?, thought Suvreen with a heavy heart. She slowly nodded to the girl standing on the door. She turned around and strode away. Suvreen placed a hand on Naro's shoulder and said, "We'll face this together, whatever it is"
Annie walked out of the bathroom wiping her face with a towel. She looked at both their worried faced and said, "Kya hua? everything alright?"
Suvreen shook her head, "No Annie, something's happened and we need to go"
After 10 minutes of extensive persuasion, Suvreen, Annie and Naro made their way towards the college corridor, where all the notice boards were hung. They saw that a considerable crowd had gathered around a wall which seemed to have some sort of caricature drawn upon it. They walked into the crowd, parting it to see what was on the wall. Suvreen's mouth hung open and she felt Naro yelp in shock beside her, "WHAT?!?!"
People turned to look at them and started talking unabashedly to each other, "look it's that cheap girl Naro..", "could have never imagined her to be so downmarket..", "could she stoop any lower?" But Naro seemed to have gone deaf to everyone else. She kept staring at the wall in front of her. There was a caricature of herself clinging onto a boy, wearing extremely revealing clothes. The tagline beneath it said, "Besharam Naro". There were also a couple of snaps of her hugging and being hugged by Gogoi on the notice board beside it.
She turned to Suvreen and Annie with tears in her eyes and exclaimed, "This is a lie! he's trying to frame me Suvreen, he's trying to defame me in front of everyone else!", she also kept repeating that this was the end of her, and Suvreen and Annie couldn't do anything to help her. They were shocked to shell themselves.
