I would have loved if the show had taken its inspirations from Karna fiction stories, the show is afterall on Karna and we do not know much about him from the epic, but here they are not taking influence from the fictions, here they have forgotten the epic entirely. If they wanted they could have gone with the personal life of Karna and his relation with Dury. I really was willing to watch the relation of Karna and Bhanumati which although is not very true has a very sweet element in the fan fictions. But here instead of that they are taking the instances from the epic and making Karna do the stuff which probably he might have not even thought of doing

please read the purans and the epics to learn our mythology. tv shows are not the source of knowledge.

I would certainly love to read them . But not everyone can do that.

But, being an Engineering Student, it won't be possible for me to do read Mahabharat any time soon (need I even explain why? ). That's how this show has kinda made things bit easier for me.

I think again you are mistaken. This show is complicating things for you. Not making them easier. This show is misguiding those who didn't read the Epic.

Watch the show, but remember that what you see on screen is fan fiction. None of the events are depicted as they are, not even if you consider that they are supposedly narrated from Karna's side. This is neither Karna's story not Mahabharata. But you will know who is who, the names of the MB characters and how they are related to one another. For the true story, I hope you read the epic as soon as you finish your studies. 😊

@bold, I think even that is not the case, Madri was a cook of Pandu and Kunti, in this case I dont think Shayla would be her brother.

And Tesla, I know it is difficult to get time for reading epics during your studies, but if that is the case and you want to know more about the epic, I suggest you dont see this show or else you would have an entirely wrong idea about the epic-our glorious past and culture

The problem is a lot of people don't want to read the texts because they'd rather watch shows but they don't realize that shows are never completely accurate.
