There are versions that support this though no Indian versions. This is more believable for me since

1)Sita wasn't actually Janak's daughter he found her in a field

2)This is the reason why Raavana never touches Sita

I am also not that well versed with Ramayana

Also this theory of Sita being Raavan's daughter is not supported by Valmiki or Tulsidas's Ramayana

But like i said its always good to know what other versions say we may or may not believe in that.

Yes. Yes. I have a lot of friends who like Ravana more than Rama. And a few of them even believe Seetha fell in love with Ravana (Which was the after-effect of Mani Ratnam film Raavan). Their version goes like this - Seetha slowly began to respect Ravana as he had decided not even to touch her without her permission. Rama was just a useless & submissive fellow (which is kinda true in Valmiki Ramayana too) who was no match for dominating and demanding Seetha. Ravana was exactly opposite to Rama, how Seetha wanted her husband to be. So the "respect" for Ravana grew to infatuation and then to love. But Seetha was reluctant to admit that, for being abducted. Rama came, killed Ravana but rejected Seetha after knowing (how???) this laaauuu story. So poor Seetha had nothing to do than jumping in fire.🤣
We used to have big arguments over this.😆 But then I had not read Valmiki Ramayana.

@any stalking random pranis - stalking is good but don't copy this story and post somewhere as folklore.

Jamy...I have a feeling that some centuries ago...some people similar to your friends had similar fantasies regarding another epic woman. And they made a story.
That story involved a certain fruit. Now after writing tbe story, they were confused about which fruit they should settle on...Some people liked mango while others liked roseapple.
After a lot of quarrel...they decided that they would spread the story in different parts of India with their respective favourites...

Mango lovers went to Bengal n roseapple lovers migrated to South. Soon they started spreading their fantasy filled tales...The roseapple lovers being more in number became more successful and thus the story was established with the name of their favourite fruit.

Hundreds of years later...various scholars n novelists learnt of this 'fascinating' story n started writing novels surrounding them. Some became bestsellers...some became 'legendary' novels...
And wen people asked these authors from where you got the story...they pointed fingers at a certain folktale named 'Jambu fruit'...

Jambu fruit...Naam toh suna hi hoga? 😉

To all stalkers...feel free to spread this story as the origin of the Jambu fruit.
I would be more than happy if the admins of God-forsaken pages on Facebook copy my story and paste it as 'authentic version'...🤣

i have heard these two theories or i believe them to be true..
the first one is known by all and second one remains a topic of debate whether he knew it was his daughter or not.

i have also heard tht Madodari was mata parvathi's maid in her previous birth and mata parvathi caught her red handed with Lord shiva in "unusual circumstances" and cursed her to be a "koobha mandoogham" meaning frog living inside the well. then mandodari revealed tht she is with child and upon mandodari's plea mata parvathi said she will only give birth to tht child on her next birth and the child hence wont be of "extra marital". Mandodhari later married ravan in her next birth and they had their first kid. so possibilities are there tht he left the kid thinking it shiva's. 😉 (since dhasanan is a ardent devotee of shiva possibilities are there he knew the curse n all.. i know its a very very very vague argument)
but actually it was a boy whom mandodari was blessed with (with lord shiva). Later they had a son called "meghanath" who is in turn shiva's baby

since i believe in both i consider ravan not as a person who lusted over sita. but someone who devoted sita's beauty and wanted her to decorate his beautiful lanka.
he wanted her to be like the "nation's monument".. i dont find lust here but rather than an artist's devotion towards god's beautiful creation.

i prefer ravan more than ram. but i dont consider their relationship as "love" or any thing like tht.
i dont hate ram but the feminist ideals sort of prick me over juz tht one incident. i havent heard any version coming from ram's view.. all ahev portrayed sita to be prime. i would really love to see things in other perspective as Jamy pointed out the "dhink chika" part.. (really.. there was something "dolby dolby"?? 😉)

EDIT: i am not against ram's idea of leaving her. but i cant take in tht its always a woman's duty to prove her so called "purity" . its always her who is answerable (as i said in one of my earlier post)

Dear Stalkers: the above said is a mix of Folklore and some of my opinions.. pray dont copy paste n make places preheated ovens

oohhh kkayyy 😃
i dont recall much of the last part coz by the time of war end its all happy happy n i dont proceed further.
i remember it in this poem coz we had this in class 10 language text.

you should read Sita's monologue juz before she takes herself to her mata "bhoomidevi" (after lav and khush left to ayodhya)
